Great place! Has frozen roasted chillies straight from Hatch and much more! I'm a trucker and live in Casa Grande, AZ. My route use to take me through Hatch but, no longer. I looked everywhere in Albuquerque for what I use to buy in Hatch and only could find company packaged ones at super markets, not the real deal. Look no further, they have them! They are also extremely nice, knowledgeable, and keep their store very clean.

New Mexico blood but being the youngest, I was born and raised in Colorado; currently reside in Las Vegas, NV. Regardless of where I grew up, New Mexico Chile is the best and we will always make our annual trip to the Chile Konnection to get our supplies for the year! Highly recommended! Thank you Senora Socorro and Jeanette!

We are from San Antonio TX and we learned so much about Red and Green chilis from the Francisco Y Socorro Arredondo Familia at Chile Konnection on Broadway blvd. While in Albuquerque NM, you must stop by for green chilis, spices or ristras. Their daughter Janet will guide you on the best chilis to buy and their prices are extremely reasonable. It's nice to know a family that treats their customers como familia. Buying peppers here and learning how to cook them was a highlight of our trip. We will always come back.Con Carino,Mark, Graciela Y Austin Bell

Listen, I giving this a 5/5 star rating KNOWING that it is CASH ONLY. Why? Why NOT take away the star because you want to use your plastic? Well, this is about:1) Local small business 2) Hispanic ran business 3) Family owned and women operated business 4) Outstanding customer service 5) EXCELLENT chile options6) Amazing prices I took the boyfriend for his first ever green chile roasting. He didn't know you crack the chile open and eat a part of the vein, or during COVID if you feel better you can look at the vein and the darker white-- the hotter. So, I'm old school and this is lasting me all year so: We came prepared. Cleaned the chile, opened it up to a low spot and took that bite of the vein/meat-- no seeds. THE EXTRA-HOT WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF! Mind you, it's 3rd harvest of chile season... we are coming to an end. GET IT WHILE ITS HOT!! And boy is it HOT! Still having a variety fresh green chile this late gets 5 stars alone... nevertheless. We went with the regular Hot. I like adding some red & yellow "matadors" to my sack. Why? Because I like colorful food, and sometimes they lessen the heat. As the boyfriend is crying through his mask about the painful process of biting a X-Hot and then a Hot chile, they ask "IF" I want the matadors-- they will pull all these from your sack if you like it straight-- which is important to connoisseurs. They fully roasted the sack. They have automated rotators so that they can heat and flip with consistency. The roasters monitor your sack. The rules of return are clearly posted. The customer service was KEY! Nice man greats you, tells you what they got, you pick, you go in, PAY IN CASH, get some fresh limes & tomatoes while you're there cause why not help small businesses during COVID. Plus the cute lady who reminded me of my Nana (great grandmother) was being cute. The spirits of my ancestors were there! For a bunch of tomatoes, limes, and 1/2 sack of Hot chile was less than $27, roasting included... but you TIP them, so it was $34 total. I have 14 full zip-lock bags of 20 chilies put away and labeled for the year. It doesn't get more New Mexico than that. 2020:- everyone wore masks- gloves used when roasting - social distancing met - CASH ONLY10/10 recommend, and this business is probably not "claimed" because it's owned by such a sweet old couple.

Passing through New Mexico and kept eating great chili sauces so we decided to find the ingredients local before heading back to Texas. 2 places closed and sound this one. Without a doubt, this 40 year old, family owned and operated stand is the BEST! Go see Janet and her dad today! I can't wait to try the chilis!!

I was in New Mexico for my father's funeral and wanted to bring Chile home with me. I bought a sac roasted and came back the day we were leaving for one more sac raw. On that second day Janet knew we were driving far so she made sure to grab the freshest Chilies and also grabbed extra sacs (and wet them) to cover my green chile from the sun. She wanted to make sure my chile was still fresh as can be when I got home. I had the best experience from them. Thanks Janet for caring and wanting me to have good Chile. And its delicious!

This place is awesome! I had some friends in town and we had trouble finding hatch vs lemitar vs mild, medium, XXHOT varieties of chile, and this place has it all! The people helping us were very knowledgeable in explaining the different growing locations of the chile, and which variety was hotter that year. They had so many different options and spice too, which makes this a convenient one stop shop to get what you need. You also can't beat the price; this place was the best bargain out of all the places we checked out! They also have red and green chile powder. I would totally reccomend anyone to come here, especially if youre a newbie and need a little more help

Everything you need in one spot, without having to go directly to hatch! If you're in the area you must stop. They roast them for free and Hatch Chili season just started.
