Don't be an idiot like me and order the Really Cluckin' Hot. I drank it...draaaank It! Then said, "Oh that's not bad, let me get that one". What is WRONG with me!?Bit part of the sandwich. Fine. Next bite - near about died. Not only was it spicy, but the heat was building and building and building...I couldn't finish my sandwich at the restaurant. My husband ordered the Hot and I think it was just the right amount of heat. Hot and Spicy, but enjoyable. Not life taking Lol. So we take my sandwich home because I am determined to eat that sucker. My husband takes a bite and ends up in a fetal position on the floor. It was hilarious. I found I could chop the chicken into tinnnnnny pieces and added it to a very leafy salad. Finished it. The Really Cluckin' Hot is No. Joke. I LOVE spicy food - love it - this was straight up death in my mouth. It tasted good, but my God...I never want to experience that again...With that said - the chicken and spices here are bomb. Food takes quite some time to make, but it is qualityyyyy. Gotta come back to try their catfish!

3.5 rounded up to 4 because of the service. Came in on a Saturday afternoon, and they had a few fed in the restaurant, and a few carrying out orders to go. We had a super sweet young lady, take our order, and tacos to some of the options. We got an order of the chicken and waffles, two chicken sandwiches, and a catfish sandwich with green chili cheese, fries, and poutine.Everything was cooked and seasoned well, and we definitely enjoyed the food. Probably not someplace who would come too often because of the oil, but definitely great when you have the craving. The only thing that kind of impacted the experience was how dirty the seating areas were. The floor was sticky, trashes were pretty full, and we had to wipe down our tables a little bit before sitting down. Overall, if you are craving Nashville style fried chicken, they do a pretty great job.

Came in about 1:40 on a Friday. Small, crowded room was just a pigsty: sticky floors and wrappers all over; tables seriously needed to be wiped. Loud, terrible music, too - ugh. (The soles of my shoes are sticky from having been here.)Ordered a chicken sandwich but asked about heat levels: what are they like? "I don't know...hot?" "Well, how does 'Cluckin' compare to an habañero pepper?" "'Hot' is like habañero." "Really - and there are two levels above it? Okay, let's try the 'hot'."Well, it's a darned good sandwich on a pretty good bun and it's nice and fresh... but there's no way the"hot" is anything close to Yucatan levels of piquancy. More like standard Norteño New Mexico level - NOT hot for these parts, and certainly not like any habañero I've ever had. But it was very good: nice chicken, cooked right, nice amount of sauce on the toasted bun along with slaw and pickles - very tasty. Mashed potatoes (red skin in them!) and gravy are quite good, too.Prices are high for what you get and you're also expected to tip on counter-order/delivered-to-you service by nice staff. Food: 4 (pretty tasty, actually)Room: 1 (any worse and I would have left before ordering)Staff: 3 (pleasant but unhelpful)Value: 2 (I spent over $16 for a sandwich, drink and side and I'm still hungry?!)I'm sorry to say it, but - despite the tasty food, of which I'd really like to try more - I don't know if I'll be back. It was just kind of a gross experience. I often scout places with the idea of returning with friends and family and . . . there's just no way I'm bringing anyone to Chile Chicken Nashville Hot Chicken based on this visit.

I've never enjoyed chicken and waffles until now. The chicken was so flavorful and they went so well with the waffles. The place is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but the food is amazing. The place was packed, but food still came out at a reasonable time.

If you are going to advertise your chicken as Nashville Hot, do it right!I ordered a wing and a breast with some cole slaw. The cole slaw was pretty good, but nothing remarkable. The fried chicken, to be honest, wasn't bad either. It was very crispy, and had the right level of salt. However, it was both greasy and slightly overcooked, as the chicken was kind of tough and dry when I got into the interior of the meat.My biggest complaint is their false advertisement. The chicken was served on bread and had a slice of pickle on top, just like real Nashville hot chicken. However, just because it looks, doesn't mean it is!When you are done frying the chicken, you are supposed to take some of the hot frying oil, blend in some cayenne pepper, garlic powder, other spices, then quickly pour some of that over the chicken! The result should be a greasy chicken with a slight red tint and some of the oil soaked up by the bread beneath.Instead, I got brown fried chicken with what looked like a clear yellow liquid poured on top, which upon tasting, turned out to be HONEY! no! No! NO! In addition, I ordered the medium spice level, and I only got the ever so slightest tinge of heat on the last bite of the wing! A medium level of spice should have a significant amount of heat to it, but not enough to leave me in a state of discomfort. And if you think I am making stuff up, do note that I had Hattie B's! That is the GOLD STANDARD for Nashville hot chicken! If, in some historical twist of fate that fried chicken was derived from Italy, then I would say that Chile Chicken sells MEDAGAN Nashville hot!

I guess I'm spoiled having eaten real Nashville chicken in Nashville. The interior of the restaurant was not very clean or organized. I ordered the chicken tenders combo which included Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was edible but dry and not very cheesy. The chicken tenders were greasy and the seasoning was peculiar. The meal was priced fairly and the food was edible and filled the hole. Probably not going to make it back. The staff was friendly and polite and was very busy with orders.

It's better than Caine's but not as good as Popeye's.Also, some weirdness with the menu where they are trying to drive you to pay for a drink by setting a large side of fries at $4, but you can't get a small size fries unless you get a $3 combo that has a drink. No big deal, just annoying. I won't be back unless Popeye's goes out of business
