Cedar Crest Country Cottage and Stables

Excellent experience on the 2 hour ride. Healthy, well cared for horses that are calm for beginners but still responsive for experienced riders. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for the 4 hour ride on our next visit.

Donald at Cedar Crest Trail rides is a class act! He has a great stable of horses that he will match with each riders ability. The trail rides are available for 2, 3, or 4 hours. Donald is a great wrangler and very informative during the entire ride. I will highly recommend this business. Please remember to tip. He earns some gratitude

What a wonderful experience for me and my girls. Such a beautiful ride to the top of one of the Sandia Peaks. Our weather was perfect. The horses were all very gentle, and I had no anxiety with getting on the big fella. Our guide, Donald was so funny, and kept the 2-hr ride light and entertaining. We saw deer, and Donald said he rarely sees them on the rides. It was worth every penny. If you have young daughters, this is a trip of a lifetime for them. Me too.

What a fun adventure with my boyfriend! Was nice to step away from the city and all the rush. Trail ride was so peaceful and relaxing. Brought me back to my childhood!

Had a great time horse back riding here! 2 hour horse back ride in a light snow flurry. Our guide was kind & patient. The view & the scenery was beautiful!

My fiancee and I rode horses with Donald for 2hrs on an amazing trail with a panoramic view atop of a mountain. She had zero riding experience prior to this but very comfortably Donald communicated how-to's clearly. Very scenic-y (ha) throughout the trail. Aside from the great views, in terms of wild life we were fortunate enough to see a beautiful dark mule buck along the way! Not uncommon for this area I imagine. He's a very knowledgable tour guide and treated us with respect. 10/10 I would recommend coming here.

I cannot even begin to tell you guys how much fun this was! Don was awesome! Excellent tour guide - the perfect amount of history and silence when it became serene. 10/10 on the jokes as well! We did the 4 hour waterfall tour and we loved every second! A must do when you are here!

Amazing views and wonderful guide! He takes such pride in his horses and his group of riders. Fill d with jokes and knowledge. Learned all about the mountains that surround this trail and even saw some wildlife! Horses were surefooted and really were some of the best cared for that I've seen . Highly recommend!! Inexpensive and wonderful!

Went on a 2 hour ride through the canyons. Definitely a good ride. Horses are very nice and clean and you can tell they take very good care of their horses. Highly recommend this place for a trail ride. Definitely coming back here again

My husband booked a morning horseback ride with Cesar Crest Country Cottage and Stables and I'm so glad he did! Donald was a wonderful guide from great reminders for riding to so much knowledge about the mountains he lives in. The horses were beautiful and we rode for the whole 2 hours on the beautiful trails. Donald is funny and friendly and kept us so entertained the whole time. We will definitely do this again.
