Jim did an amazing job restoring an antique wood tool chest that we found in the attic in several pieces. He made it look like it had never been broken adding a pin to each dovetail end which was not the quick fix. He also preserved the original label and my great grandfathers signature. I just picked up the second of two pieced pine doors that Jim at CC Mouldings constructed for our Adobe house. He replicated the existing doors exactly. The fit & finish were outstanding.We have been searching for someone to make these historically correct doors for a while now. Luckily we heard about CC Mouldings & Jim, the owner, was intrigued by the project & reproducing something this unique.This is the second project that I've have had Jim work on & each was a bit peculiar, so it was important that we were working with someone of his experience & quite frankly, someone who wasn't put off by an amateur (me) that gave him incorrect drawings. Jim at CC Mouldings built two mantels and a floating shelf and I could not be happier with the end products! I have a dual-sided fireplace and wanted a traditional looking mantel rather than tile. He took my sketched design and turned it into real life. They both fit like a glove (installation was SO easy, we were able to do it ourselves in about an hour) and match the cabinetry in my home perfectly. The cost was very reasonable for the high quality workmanship that Jim provides; I would recommend his custom mantels over any pre-fab mantels that you can find online. He even made a secret panel to cover the fireplace switches on the mantel and the floating shelf had a secret panel to store a surge protector and hide all of the wires. If you need any custom woodworking, Jim is the person you need to talk to!

I went to CC moulding for base board because the price and quality is the best in the city. Much better than HD or Lowes. Then I saw a display of stair treads. I was in the process of rebuilding my stairs and got a quote. Their price for oak treads, landings and risers with rounded edges (stained and poly) was not much more than I would have paid for raw materials from the internet. They saved me weeks of work and the quality was perfect. no way could I have made them as nice in my shop. My wife had tears in her eyes when I installed the Landings! Try these guys before you go anywhere else.

As a licensed professional engineer for over 35 years, I have developed a great appreciation for brilliance in design and precision and quality in execution. Over the years, he has crafted a number of beautiful, remarkable pieces for my family. The mantel in our home is a stunning work which he designed, built and finished. It immediately became a focal point and frequent topic of conversation from guests. Most recently he disassembled, designed and built new, custom wood seating to replace unserviceable rataan in two early century antique chairs. He then completely refinished them; they are now of heirloom quality. When we had windows replaced throughout our home, the custom moulding used in the original house was no longer built or available. C C moulding produced exact, flawless replicas of the moulding to replace throughout the house, preserving the original custom design and look. Finally, at the personal level, Jim is equally exceptional.
