Really cool spot, seems reasonably priced, although some tiles were a bit pricey.I bought this beautiful octagonal mirror that had little teeny tiles all around it, and I had priced other spots before deciding on this one. It's huge and was comparable to other mirrors I was pricing before. The guy who was working was super helpful and was able to pack up my mirror for my trip back to Virginia for me.Definitely check out for not just the tiles, but also the other offerings they have (little bowls, coasters, mirrors, mugs, glass cups, etc...).

A grand selection of Mexican tiles to choose from! Along with many do-dads to decorate with, from leather tie chairs to Mexican clay pots and fountains to iron figurines. The bldg is surprisingly large inside with loads to look at!If you plan on making a return make sure you have your receipt!

This place is not Gay/Queer friendly. I was surveilled within an inch of my life and stared at and followed. They play loud Christian radio. Not going back here anytime soon.

This beautiful store has been a favorite of mine since I have lived in Albuquerque -- over 25 years. They have such a plethora of fine Mexican imports as well as some locally made artworks. You can find chandeliers, murals, Tonala ware pottery, and punched tinware. The Talavera offerings include talavera tiles, sinks, dishware, planters, and beautiful mirrors with mini-tile borders. And this is the place to go if you are considering a Saltillo tile project.The owners and employees are extremely knowledgeable about their merchandise, and they love the stuff they sell. They are also helpful with your project, if you need suggestions or if you need to find an artisan or contractor to assist you.

Fantastic selection of talavera tile, Saltillo tile, switch plate covers, artwork, tin mirrors, tables, chairs! Many of my out of state relatives have purchased the address numbers for their homes - beautiful! The prices are fair. The location is excellent as it's close to Old Town. We have purchased a lot of tile at Casa Talavera over the years for our home and we have not been disappointed- it's gorgeous, high quality tile! Enjoy!

Casa Talavera tile is a little pricey but saves you a lot if time and stress hunting for deals. They have a great collection of Mexican tiles and artesanias that it's worth stopping in to look around and get inspired for the next project. We have purchased many tiles from Casa Talavera over the years; from small Mexican kitchen tiles to Saltillo tile. We even bought a tile mural for our kitchen that we really like. Recently, a friend and I were searching for 400 sq. ft. of prefinished Saltillo tile for her kitchen on Craig's list with no luck when we decided to call Casa Talavera to inquire the price and quantity of the Saltillo in stock. They told us, "oh yes, we have just about that amount in the back but can't guarantee it will not sell by the end of the day," my friend and I rushed over during lunch with a check in hand only to realize they had palettes of Saltillo tile in hand. Pretty sneaky you guys, but I can't say I blame your sales "sense of urgency" technique. It really worked....In fact, I think I'll use it sometime soon.

Been there each of our 3 visits to Albuquerque and bought bunches (we're obsessed with talavera). Each time we've been treated honestly and courteously by these fine folks, with some great deals. We hang the various animal figures from our home's siding during the summer months.... adding a lot of color to an otherwise ordinary tract home. Living in Northern Illinois,,,,, you could say our home's the 'unique' one in the neighborhood. Next trip we start buying for our kitchen.

Great place to buy authentic Mexican tiles. The owner was very helpful without being pushy, and helped us decide what type of Saltillo tiles we wanted. We tiled our back patio ourselves and are very happy with the results.BTW.... Neither my husband or I experienced any homophobia as noted by a previous reviewer. It's possible that person was being observed for other reasons.
