If you want to get a nursing degree that you can get away with cheating, this is the place! There is no repercussions for cheaters and all the students who actually try, have to deal with their cheater classmates.

I wasn't expecting to be looking for a new career at age 47, but when I finally decided to take the leap, I was lucky to land at Carrington College. From the first call to inquire about the Registered Nursing program, I felt confident that I had found the right choice for me. Of course, I also did my due diligence by researching the school's ratings, NCLEX first time pass statistics, graduate employment rates, and learning what the NM Board of Nursing had to say about the program. But, it was the staff and facilities that made enrollment an easy decision. The school is the perfect size and has quality equipment. The staff helped guide me through every step of the process, and were clear about the challenging work ahead and the cost of the program. It's not an easy program or an inexpensive choice, but it allows students to become RNs in only 2 years. Since my priority is being able to join the workforce, I was happy that the accelerated pace will allow me to finish quickly. The classes are demanding, but the instructors truly care. My Anatomy and Physiology teacher presents the materials with such enthusiasm and knowledge that you can't help but fall in love with the subject matter. The administration is accessible for any issues or questions, and the enrollment and financial aid departments are experts at setting up your packages. If you are feeling, as I was, intimidated by the idea of being in school as an older student, I encourage you to give Carrington a look.

It was very hard to get a response in the beginning from the admissions lady and you CANNOT choose your own schedule at all. There is no night classes, only day time. They give you little notice before giving you a new schedule before the new semesters start so that's really challenging if you have kids or a job. If you've done your research like I did, and really decided on this school just be very persistent with the admissions lady because she won't call, text or email back unless you become a Karen and ask for like a manager or request someone else to help you (which there in no one is else, just her). That being said, after getting in and rearranging my work schedule and kid's schedules, the teachers have been extremely helpful in making sure you understand the material and know what to study for upcoming tests. Dr. Penny is amazing and gives her cell number and encourages students to call or text her with any questions. The classes are getting more challenging the further into the program I get but I have faith that the professors will continue to be amazing throughout. I'm in the RN program in Albuquerque.

~$60,000 per student in the Nursing program. We were given old iPads, slow computers, out-of-date books, broken projectors, printers that don't work, a sub-par library, as well as simulation equipment that is both expensive and finicky. The turnover rate for instructors and nursing staff (about 2 or more per semester) is insane for the 6 figures they're paid annually. Students are taught the bare minimum once they get to Level 3. Clinical schedules are made last minute and instructors are allowed to pick favorites, give answers to those they like, and treat the other students terribly. The only ones teaching and testing fairly were the male Pharm instructors. On top of everything, there seems to always be tons of drama involving both staff and students. The wait at CNM is worth it.

Way too over priced for certificate programs. They are only worried about whether or not you have the money. As soon as they think you might struggle to pay the cost a little you never hear back from them.

I moved out of state to attend this school. I was not accepted at the 5 colleges I applied to even though I have a high GPA, passing scores on entrance exams and experience in the medical field. Carrington made it easy to apply and get a seat in their nursing program. They accepted all of my prerequisites so I will not need to repeat any courses I've already completed. I looked into other private schools but they were all out of price range and difficult with financial aid assistance. I'm excited to start at my new school.
