Absolute worst HOA to deal with when trying to sell your home. Not only are they outrageous on their fees they're some of the rudest ever when it comes to customer service or trying to resolve an issue. If they're ever managing a HOA in a home you're considering to purchase really consider not moving forward. If you ever have to sell they will cause more headaches than help.

This organization needs a good bookkeeper. With a closing coming up, I called to make sure that they had received my payment, including a questionable late interest charge. The first and second time I called they couldn't find the payment. On the third attempt (about 2 weeks ago), they assured me that they had received the payment. Today, I received a "friendly reminder" that I still owe the entire amount of payments, including another late charge.I didn't take the reminder as anything approaching "friendly." The HOA administration was competent, until they outsourced its administration to Associa.The only reason that I gave Associa a one star rating is because there was no option for a "no star" or "negative star" rating.

I understand that because of the nature of their business, people have a tendency of complaining more about it than praising. I have lived in my community for many years, and just recently after Canyon Gate taking over, things have dramatically declined. Rudeness and arrogance are their theme. I'm a home owner, have always paid my dues on time, and ever since this unfortunate switch, I feel I'm being treated as a bad tenant instead of an great owner. Unfortunately my association got FIRED by our previous management company, and out of pure desperation , we got stuck with the bottom of the barrel. Look at their reviews on Google, pay attention to their standard responses. Apparently prior from hiring Canyon Gate, the board of my community failed to research this company... too late for us, but not for you. My recommendation: STAY AWAY from this company!

Association is a joke. Consistently trying to strong arm the residents and never respond to complaints. I have had an issue and a seperate question and both have gone unresolved for coming up on 60 days. Neighborhood parks a mess, no longer tend to front landscapes as promised, and when contacted the reps are rude as can be. Made my refi extremely difficult and have on numerous occasions cost me excessive funds. I feel like they just collect a check and go overboard with enforcement. Requiring permits and ridiculous amount of documentation that is unnecessary for simple tasks costing extra funds that are not needed. When pushback or questions are presented a lien is quick to hang in the valances. If you can avoid them as an HOA I would advise to do so.

We are pleased that our inquiries were responded to in a timely manner. Maryia Silva has a friendly, professional attitude (via phone) and Michael's response time (via email) was much faster than I expected, based on the amount of properties that Canyon Gate handles. Thanks to you both!T. Brooks

PETTY FINES - Demands more fines and now a title search as they want to put a LEAN on MY HOME. You gotta hear the petty crap this company is trying to pull. Currently I care for both my ailing parents. Now have to deal with the additional stress of this. They refuse take these petty fines off the continue to charge late fees for there petty fines. Now they are taking LEGAL ACTION against the home.. I am LOSING SLEEP... More homeowners need to speak up. Petty fines fees and a title search against my home. Proof of a company who is in it for the money not the community. PLEASE SPEAK UP IF YOU HAVE THE SAME ISSUES - As a father of 2 taking care of my aging parents I do not have the additional money they are demanding..

Not surprised at their rating. Advising from the inside: DONT BUY A HOUSE IN THIS HOA.....trust me.

This is the absolute worst association!! What a complete joke. The "manager" Katie Lauckner is one of the rudest people and completely unhelpful!! She treated me like dirt when I had an issue. If I could move my house out of this association I would! It's no wonder there are so many homes for sale! Disgrace. I miss the old management! They were so much better.

TERRIBLE company. My neighborhood changed HOA management companies earlier in 2019 due to Canyon Gates lack of care. They only want one thing, money. Months later they are still trying to get money from customers that are no longer theirs. Avoid at all costs.

Our community has been with Canyon Gate for close to 15 years and they have always been helpful and professional. I don't always agree with the restrictions of the HOA but the management company does not make up the rules and everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and helpful.
