Cake Nightclub

This place gets very crowded & the people that go in are really nice there was a man there that just provided for no reason I didn't even ask him anything he was really caring. Loud music & a lot of fun.

Idk if it was just a coincidence or the normal way it goes out something, but they only played Spanish songs. Which wasn't a problem because the dancing and drinks were great. They definitely pour heavy there. My only thought is that the DJ wasn't there at some points but the music was still playing. Had a lot of fun. Would recommend.

Very pricey for Albuquerque New Mexico. Huge cover and very expensive beers. The service was NOT available. I tried to buy buckets of beers and the bartender told me not available. That's dumb because I ended up drinking twelve or so beers by myself. All Heinekens. The place was dark but it's a night club I guess so that's okay. Music was poppin and all Over the place. DJ could have mixed it up much better.

I'm 33 and I love the music selection! The DJ plays everything from new hip hop to early 2000s on the bottom main floor. The upstairs area plays more spanish music but both floors always have the club dancing and having fun! Friday nights are usually slower than Saturday nights so they close the upstairs section. The host Tatiana is always so sweet and kind!

So we decided to go to this new club in the heart of down town I've been kinda of excited about it since downtown hasn't been my scene in sometime. The opening night was good the crowd was decent the music was drake okay. We decided to take our friends the the next night and then shit hit the fan the line was long very long too long in heels waiting hello not cool when we got up to the front I looked in and it was empty only a few people. The beer was hot! And they had way to much fog holy shit I couldn't see shit. Now on to the music once again Albuquerque get out of the 90s already yuck I mean there is fresh music to be played. The crowd started to get raunchy and ghetto. Time to go!!! P.S the ladies restroom locks didn't work and it was hot and gross in there. There for I wished we would had have gone to nobhill bar and grill where it's free and music is from this century.

Very disappointed. Was excited to try this place out at first. When we arrived we waited in line for a while, and mind you, this line was not long. Once we got to the front I peeked in and there was NO ONE THERE. Why were we waiting for so long? We'll never know. On top of that they gave my boyfriend a hard time because there were draw strings on my boyfriends Volcom pants and they said they don't allow athletic wear. Are you joking? Have you not seen joggers or even fashion now days? Meanwhile there are guys on the patio with basketball shorts and wife beater shirts?? Interesting. Also, why we paid a cover to enter an empty club is beyond my recollection. The decor and inside does seem nice but it's also very foggy and unbelievably hot inside. It takes forever to get drinks, depending on the bartenders and the people who work there, from the security to the bartenders, are not friendly at all. Our group ended up leaving after and hour and ended the night at Effex. All in all disappointing.

Has a great space and great service! VIP is always poppin! Every week they make more and more improvements! Gogo dancers, an Aerial Dancer, Decently priced drinks and when it's someone's birthday...they go all out! You'll definitely have to experience it first hand!

I love how welcoming the doormen are! I went on a slow day by myself and was pleasantly surprised. I was weary from other reviews. Keep in mind I'm 280lbs and 6foot with shoes on and perceived as a woman. I feel like I have scary dog privileges. (If the dog was a golden retriever)The vibe is nice. The stairs are well lit thank goodness. There are support beams that have little jangles on them so you won't run into them while dancing. There's little corners for people to dance in if you're nervous like me. Overall a very good place.

My last encounter in this club was as of 8/7/22. It was my significant others birthday and we decided to give cake a try. I was with her as well as 3 of her friends. They initially walked in first and the inside door person said they were good to go without cover. When I walked in he stopped me and said I needed to pay for all of them. They were still on earshot and decided they weren't going to go in and so they started towards the door and I followed. This guy, who was about 6' and a beard starts cussing all of us out and runs after all of us leaving the club. I let the girls go and turned around held my hand up towards him and said "dude we are leaving now do not pursue us, it is assault in what you are doing now". He proceeded to berate me and the girls calling them bitches for not going in. The bouncers on the outside did not do anything because I guess they knew he was in the wrong. I could have gotten this guy for assault on us and I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone especially my female friends. I messaged them and they never got back to me about it. Guess they don't care much about impending legal matters

I'm from out of town but every time I come to the 505 I make to stop by Cake for a fun night. Great lay out , great djs, great bar staff.... But the absolute best thing about cake is the door guy Tristen.... Crazy helpful and friendly and very welcoming.... If I ever ask about bottle service or anything he will help me in an instant.
