A group of us found this place and decided to stop on a road trip. Yelp and google show it's open, we drove up and the sign was illuminated "open" but the doors were locked, there was someone inside but they ignored us. Would be nice to update their times and turn off the open sign.

Really tasty food. I had one of the two specials which was shrimp with coconut curry and green chile sauce with a side of black-eyed peas and saffron rice. There's a fairly broad menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner, plus the specials which are always changing. They don't have late hours, though, so it has to be an early dinner: 9am-3pm Mon to Wed and 9am-7pm Thurs to Sun. You can apparently order pizzas for pick-up and takeaway. The guy who owns the place is incredibly friendly and cheerful. He took our orders and served us (we were the only ones there). He's currently trying to drum up business by having singer/songwriters come in every couple Saturday nights (no cover!), and recently there was a 'Roman Holiday' night where people came to watch 'Roman Holiday' together on the TV and he prepared Italian food. They also sell a few grocery items, mainly drinks, like bottles of wine, tea, bags of chips, etc. This place deserves more business than it gets. Good food at a good price in a cafe run by friendly people.

Went by Cafe Aldea on a bike ride a few weeks earlier and it was closed. Had looked forward to trying it. Went there today. Gentleman was there (assumed it is the owner) seated behind an office desk. He was very nice. No one else in the place. Wondered if I was in a cafe or business office. Ordered a mocha latte. Hands down the worst I have ever had. Didn't even try the food. Basically my first impression of Cafe Aldea was bad. Will give it some time and try Cafe Aldea again

If you're looking for a home cooked meal in a quiet, beautiful location - this is the place to go. I had an omelette that was stuffed with juicy fresh veggies and I could easily tell that the ingredients used were carefully chosen and prepared. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito that made his face instantly light up upon the first bite. (And trust me, he's a breakfast burrito connoisseur)This delightful little cafe is charming beyond belief with excellent warm service and comforting, savory food.

Had a great breakfast home-made omelet with a hot chocolate - it was refreshing to be somewhere so quiet and with great views and great hospitality. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh morning air!

Stopped in for a cup of coffee, it being a Cafe and all. Possibly the worst cup of coffee ever created by mankind.

YUCK! Severely overpriced and terrible food. I ordered a couple of sandwiches and salads to go. I was the only one there and it took over 30 min to prepare. There was a piece of chicken about 1"x1" in the middle of store bought sliced bread. $8 per sandwich. I could have made my own for an eighth of the price. We ended up throwing the food away, it was tasteless. Needless to say, I'll never return.

Went there this morning and they were closed no sign on the door no one answered the phone. You guys should update your website if you're closed or let people know what's going on.

Very good! The breakfast burrito is so good! I recommend it. The owner is super nice and the restaurant is super causal and has nice couches.

Yuck! Over priced! Ordered pizza. Crust was so hard. We took one bite and decided to just throw it away. Disgusting place. Clustered and gross.
