Cacho's Latin Flavor

Been following these folks through various venues, From railyards, to the pretty expensive sawmill market, now they do the railyards, and they have a food truck that does its rounds, but their walk in location is inside the Imperial Dive, at High Street and Central (EDO). in a very good small food court alongside Vegan Vato and a Pupusaria, and a small desert place. Got a really really good Green chile Cheeseburger, was cooked perfectly. hot inside but just a thin line of pink, Tasty and spicy green chile, beautiful cheese melt on it. Smash patties are all the rage these days, but a nice thick well constructed patty is better in my opinion.

Enjoyed the criollo meal. Plantains were spot on, beans and shredded beef had great flavor. Arepa was fresh and great on the combo. Will definitely be back!

Delicious but one star off for the steep price of $15 for 2 empanadas. Got 1) Shredded Beef & Cheddar & Green Chile and 2) Black Beans & Mozzarella. Both were very good.Service: took a bit longer than expectedAmbiance: Sawmill is nice to wander around, lots of places to sit inside and outside

We got the special of the week, which was the arepa pabellon. It had shredded pork, roasted peppers, cheese, and plantains in it. I'm a sucker for anything with plantains in it so I really enjoyed it. I did wish it were a tad spicier and the cheese all sat on top unmelted which is not what I was anticipating. The guy who worked there was very friendly and helpful with his recommendations since we are not super familiar with arepas. I would go back and order something where the cheese was the star of the show.

What's the Worst That Could Latin?Formerly known as "Cacho's Bistro," they seem to have re-branded their Sawmill Market location to a new moniker of "Cacho's Latin Flavor."They've ditched most of their menu, most notably the empenadas, and now are just focusing on Arepas and two different sandwich options. Their whole menu seemed interesting, but the Cacho's Bread really drew my attention with its sweet, spicy, and carby ingredients. The Good:*Sandwich was quite good, as the smoky ham paired well with the sweet raisins, vinegary olives, and almost pretzel-like bread. *I liked their slaw as it almost reminded me of KFC's--which is a good thing, as it's literally the only thing edible at the Colonel's. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The Meh:*Black beans were cooked well but had zero flavor and no salt. *Some of the interior of the sandwich was a bit mushy.The Ugly:*Employees seemed more interested in hiding in the back playing on their phones than actually greeting customers and taking orders. TLDR: Tasty unique Venezuelan eats but don't expect much in the way of customer service.

There are so many options when you visit sawmill yeah it can be overwhelming to choose. This past time I wanted something different and I was very happy with my choice. I got a steak filled pupusa and it was delicious. I also got a side of plantains which are an extra charge. The price is a little steep for 1 person to eat but I could see this as an occasional splurge.

BEST VEGAN DISH I'VE EVER HAD! OMG it was filling, delicious and just perfect! Worth every penny!!!

Ridiculously long wait time at the food truck. When I finally got my burger, found a place to eat it, and took a bite, it was barely cooked. I like medium or medium well, but this was ridiculous, especially for the price. I wasn't about to take it back and wait another 25 minutes. Won't be back.

Had 2 burgers from their food truck last night. Ordered the first one and asked for it to be medium well done. When we got it, it was more like medium rare. Probably could've went back and asked them to change it, but just ate it anyway, even though it wasn't cooked to our liking or the way we requested.Before leaving, we placed another order for our daughter as we were bringing her home some food. Given what happened with the first burger we asked for this next one to be well done. Picked it up and brought it home and when my daughter cut into it, it was even, worse than the first order as it was very rare in the middle. If you can't at least cook a burger properly at that point, I'm not really sure what to say. Pretty pedestrian.

Food and Service was amazing. Very clean! I'm gluten intolerant and allergic to dairy! I had no issues! Beef and chicken empanadas were amazing! Plantains too!
