We've lived in Rio Rancho for years, but only during this Coronavirus situation have we actually visited Cabezon Park. It's a very nice park! There's children's play equipment, which probably isn't a good idea to use during this time, but this Coronavirus pandemic won't last forever. Definitely come back when this time has passed, and let you kids play here! It's a large park. People have been having fun flying kites. We see lots of people jogging around. We spent time exercising in many ways. And everyone is practicing social distancing. We've brought meals here to eat for take out. It's a blast!#flattenthecurve

Look like the others are on point with their thoughts of Cabezon Park. The park is HUGE and nicely maintained. I live walking distance from the park and I truly wish there was more to do. Its busy on Saturdays because I9 sports is there, but after 3PM its a ghost town. In the summer, its a great place for a party (pool, BBQ grills and a huge space). I honestly wish they offered an after school program for elementary and middle school children in the neighborhood. They do offer a summer camp program but you have to pitch a tent at a neighboring park and cross your fingers you get a spot

This park is huge! My daughter plays T-ball here. There are multiple things going on, yet it doesn't feel crowded. The ground where she plays is usually soaked. There are two playgrounds; one intended for little kids and one for bigger kids. My little kids, of course, have no interest in the appropriate playground. The big kid play ground scares me. It is very tall. One of the features is a twisted ladder- it must go ten feet in the air. I like the location of this park, but because of the scary plat structure, it's not my favorite place to take the little ones.

It's clean with lots of grass. There is a swimming pool but it is only open during the summer.

It could definitely use some sprucing up and a few more activity centers for the kiddos. The park's big but needs stuff for the smaller kiddos to enjoy as well.

We went to see the movie in the park. Starts at sundown. It was very nice until it got dark then there was a huge beetle infestation!! Hundreds of beetles started swarming the area. Hitting us in the face and sticking to our hair. It was terrible! Everyone had to leave bc it was so bad. Do not go to this event. Unless you want a crazy story to tell.

A lovely huge park with an enormous, clear, lawn area where you can run free or lounge around in the sun.
