"Because of its proximity to Flix Brewhouse, I think Thai Boren is sometimes overlooked. However, that would be a mistake. My youngest daughter, and I went to dinner there and both are fans of the yellow curry with chicken. The spice is just right. Feeling the show was an appetizer called moneybags! Check out the photo in the gallery. That was quite a treat, and something we will order again on a future visit. Prices are reasonable, service is strong."

"The FOOD? Oh my! It is outstanding. Orchid on every plate. Everything my dining companions selected was, without a doubt the perfect selection. I so wanted to ask to trade, or just have a bite or two, but I wasn't willing to give up a single morsel of mine. If you had seen and tasted it you would understand why I was being selfish. It was that good. The solution is to come back and try all their dishes. The SERVICE? Polite, professional and fast. Couldn't ask for anything more. Our server never missed a beat. The AMBIANCE? Comfortable. A little stark. Tile and metal. But clean and without a doubt their concentration is on the outstanding food - where it should be.Orchid now sits right on the top of my list for Thai cuisine in ABQ. Perhaps anywhere. It deserves at least a 5 star review. In my opinion a few more stars wouldn't hurt."

"YUM!We were apprehensive about sushi at an Asian hodge-podge (Japanese and Thai). It's not fusion. It's literally a sushi bar and Thai food in the same restaurant, and it's GOOD. Added bonus: they have gluten free soy sauce!!!Sushi is fresh and generously portioned; the tempura was light, though not the traditional batter. Pad Woon Zen with shrimp was new to us, and we DEVOURED the dish (mung bean threads stir fried with vegetables and shrimp in a sauce that reminded me a little of a lighter pad see ew).Service was friendly, prompt and thorough. The atmosphere tends toward casual. Overall, it is a great place for a casual dinner with eclectic menu choices. 4 stars because I can't give it 4 1/2. When we next visit Albuquerque, this place will be a stop!"

"I hadn't been to Sala thai since their move to its new location. The new location is off of Richmond just down a few blocks from their original location.All orders are to-go only and to order, you call them. Upon arrival you walk up to the window to pay and to pick up your food. The food has stayed the same in the sense it's good quality and tasty. I got chicken dumplings, the pad thai special, and Sala thai fried rice. All were perfectly cooked and punched a powerful flavor. The pad thai special is made with cellophane noodles rather than the flat noodles. It was slightly lighter than regular pad thai and still had a great pad thai flavor. Their spice levels are from 1-4, with 4 being the spiciest. Their level 4 isn't as spicy as thai hot levels at other restaurants but still is a good addition of flavor to your dish. I'm glad the food still has the quality they had in their old location. A great place to go when you want to pick up food but don't want to walk inside of a restaurant."

I loved it!!"

"Finally I got here. I've had many people recommend it,it's just down the street and it's taken me 15 years to get here. My loss. I had a lunch special which includes: soup, egg rolls (2 small), black rice pudding and fruit. My main course choice was Chicken pad Thai. For many years x I couldn't find anything to compare to my Shaker Heights, OH favorite. I finally just stopped comparing. Thai Cuisines lunch was very good. Lovely Thai flavors, generous portions, great service. It was quiet when we entered , many others filed in after us. My husband like his pineapple and rice combo, he forgot the name ! But he is difficult to please. We will be back, sorry we took so long to get here. Great lunch spot!"
