"The hot chocolate is amazing and they want to make sure you get the chocolate you actually like so expect to spend a few minutes trying a few of their options. I appreciate their attention to quality over quantity. I loved how they separated out traditional chocolate from new/European style versions. Their homemade whip cream was crazy good!I bought a lot of chocolates to go (to take back home). The pistachio chocolate bar was so gooooood!"
"The gelato itself is a 5 however the staff it's a 1. Not a single smile, all serious unpleasant faces at a gelato shop. They seemed bothered to serve customers, I asked if they were replacing some of the flavors that were out they said no, but as I was leaving they brought out the flavors I asked about. Every time I come the staff seem bothered to do their job which is unfortunate because the gelato is amazing. I came in around 5pm today."
"we were at the second "new" location near Momma's Minerals. we had the Duke chocolate chip, the regular chocolate chip and the snickerdoodles. they are all thick, dense and soft. yummy and decadent hands down. wish we had found them prior to 420! fantastic cookies. he is kinda rude!"
"Our favorite spot for the summer. Great service and nice military discount or Yelp discount for checking in. We were lucky enough to be there for some live music, not sure how often they do that though. My favorite is the chocolate dipped coconut paleta. Tastes just like an almond joy. So good! My kid's favorites are the mango paleta in the chamoy and chili salt, they also are obsessed with the coffee paleta. The Mexican chocolate paleta and Jamaican raspberry are pretty yummy too. Tried the carne Asada and that was so good too. Extra chipotle mayo please! Yummy!"
"This place has some of the best chocolate I've ever had in my life. (and I'm picky about chocolate!) It's extra smooth and super creamy. The staff is always friendly and I like that they are open fairly late. It's a little pricy but because it's so good I think it's worth it. Try the chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate covered caramel crispy bars, chocolate covered cheesecake, or chocolate covered key lime pie. Oh and the ice cream is amazing too!"
"My dad has traveled throughout South America yet he had never heard of a paleta so I HAD to rectify that situation immediately! As soon as I showed him the Paleta Bar on Yelp, we agreed we had to go immediately and get paletas. It became his favorite treat from the first bite. He's a vegan so he loved the fruit options! With regards to COVID, we were extremely impressed with their safety measures such as social distancing, gloves, and masks. We felt very safe in this establishment and then we enjoyed our treats in the car. This is this kind of place you take your family and make memories. That is exactly what we plan to do. This will be our family place for years to come and we are so excited to support them in any way possible!"
"Everything from the huge colorful menu board to the individually wrapped frozen fruit bars & ice creams aka: paletas caught my eye. There was a variety of sweet and savory snacks including homemade chips and corn dogs. Lots of variety on both the menu & in their freezer section including fresh: Agua Frescas. I enjoyed the Strawberries & Cream topped with granola. So delicious! Tres Leches paletas were good as well.I took a star away because it's a cash only It's a place you should definitely try an a crisp warm fall evening."
"If you're looking for a delicious Mexican snack, this is the place to go. They have great aguas frescas, paletas, nachos, ice cream and more. I drove by this place one day and discovered it by "accident" and it's one of my favorites. They have an incredibly delicious tres leches paleta, you all have to try it!!!-----Este lugar está perfecto para comprar snacks tradicionales de mexico, tienen aguas frescas, paletas, nieves, nachos y muchas cosas más! Me gusta mucho el lugar, tuve suerte de descubrirlo por accidente un día. Si un día van aquí, tienen que probar una paleta de tres leches, está buenísima, súper cremosita y dulce!"

I haven't actually been here, but I've had the chocolates from here. The Hubs was in SF last fall for business and brought me some chocolates from Kakawa (he also ordered some more for me for Christmas). OMG these are probably the most intense and flavorful chocolates I've ever had! Even if you can't get to Santa Fe, treat yourself and order some online. It's worth it!

I found myself craving ice cream after lunch here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We just had lunch at the sawmill market and I asked my friend, Where can we get some awesome ice cream? My friend says she knew a place. So without telling me where it is, not that I know anyway, we drove about a couple miles or so, we ended up here at Frost Gelato. My expectations for ice cream are quite low, since most places if not, I'll have straight chocolate ice cream without any additional toppings. Just pure hundred percent chocolate ice cream. Upon arrival, the store was empty. There was one lady that already had checked out. I was leaving the store when we came in. So I did like the ambience since it was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 PM. It was quite nice to be able to have ice cream in the middle of the day in the middle of the work week. Then again I was on vacation anyway. Do you overall experience talk about 15 minutes or so since I knew exactly what I wanted. The prices here were more less on par with what I've known for ice cream over the years. It seem to be tracking upward because of the 2020 COVID-19 inspired inflation. In the end, I decide to take a court home with me back to the hotel of here 100% chocolate ice cream. 25 It was pure magic for sure. I ended up paying for my friend who got a cup of something. I forgot what it was. It was a nice treat at the end of 6 mile run before I had to do a 50 mile run in another state three days after this visit. I guess ice cream helps with marathon training. Maybe. The overall experience here at Frost Gelato ice cream shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico was great and casual at the same time. I enjoyed the fact that they have multiple flavors of ice cream in the display freezers. I always liked handmade pints versus pre-packed pints where they just grab it from the nearby freezer. Freshly scooped pints are awesome versus pre packed. That's just me though, but I prefer hand scooped. The service here was definitely friendly and I think they enjoyed having us there, especially on a Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM. There was a couple of tables here, but we didn't stay since my friend had other obligations that day and we had to head back. ice cream shop was clean and very meticulously scrub down pretty much. It seems like it was relatively brand new construction for this store. For the most part though, it was definitely a nice treat for both of us since we ran 6 miles together on a public paved trail. And so, if you crave ice cream as much as anybody, like me, consider coming to frost gelato ice cream shop here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is great anytime anywhere for sure, even in the winter months as well. Definitely recommended if you're in the area and you can mix flavors if you want to, but I usually stick with chocolate, since that is my absolute favorite. Not sure if they do toppings here, but I didn't ask. Maybe they do maybe they don't. I don't know. Maybe you will know when you get here and ask if they do.Frost Gelato ice cream shop is located at 2201 Q St NE in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. On this day, though, I forgot my wallet, but my friend graciously paid for me at the moment, while I repaid her back the same day Back at the hotel afterwards. As far as parking goes, they have limited spaces for anybody and everybody who wishes to come here for a treat. If this parking lot is filled up, there is always street parking nearby, wherever it's available. If you like me, though, I am with my friend in her private vehicle, so as bad is to get local friends who are running to pick you up and drop you off. If you're not that lucky or fortunate, best bet is to have a car of your own, rent a car, or even better contact an Uber or a Lyft. They can help you get to where you want to go in a heartbeat. With that said, I had a wonderful time here, even though it was short and sweet, literally in a ice cream shop. Not sure if they have Wi-Fi here, but you don't really need to have it anyway. If you're here in the Albuquerque area, I'm envious because you have the ice cream everybody's raving about. Ice cream was delicious and definitely enjoyed it immensely. The court was so big that I had to split it in two sittings. It was that rich and ginormous at the same time. So so good, I would need to come back here and get some more if future travels permit for me to do so. Thanks to my local Albuquerque friend who recommended this place to me.5.0 stars for the overall experience.Support local!A+

Thank you to YELP for showcasing Rude Boy Cookies' personalized Valentine's cookies! Support local Black owned businesses! Got these adorable sweets shipped all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico! Yes, I went the extra mile to give my work Galentines an extra special treat this year. Their talented baker is named Kristin, so when I saw her name drawn so beautifully on a cookie, I had to have one! Just add an "E" at the end.Choose from basic pink hearts trimmed in red or grey/blue, OR choose the sprinkled ice cream design in pink/purple or purple/blue. All are absolutely gorgeous! I waited a week after delivery to eat mine because it was so darn cute.Taste-wise, yummy sugar vanilla flavor with the perfect shortbread crumble. Not too sweet royal flood icing decor. Names were so lovingly drawn on in impeccable calligraphy. It can get pricey, but for cookies this magnificent and personalized, I'll pay the price and shipping fee again! Packaging was classy too: window boxes filled with white or red crinkle paper to protect the goods. Thank you, Rude Boy Cookies!

I haven't tried the permanent locale only the ice cream truck. All natural ingredients all in a delectable treat. Pop fizz is a paleta truck more than anything, with flavors of Mango Habanero, to Cucumber Chile Lime to Cafe con Leche. They also have these ice cream sandwiches and tacos. If you run into their ice cream truck, chase it for a nice treat.

We love this place. So many delicious choices. And yet, the tres leches ice cream always seems to call out my name, so I haven't tried many things on the menu. It's an unpretentious place to indulge your sweet tooth.

"Even during a pandemic....this place was spot on. We got an orange creamsicle milkshake and a bunch of yogurt ice cream, cake and vanilla, with all the toppings. They you g man was amazing and nice. We will be back."
"Always courteous service, clean inside and out, fast service, great delicious options and satisfying! Many locations in town to chose from and many delicious and unique flavor combinations made with high quality, fresh ingredients"
"The inside and presentation is nothing to write home about, but the product is legit. They have tons of paletas to choose from, all fruit, cream flavors, and dipped in chocolate with toppings. They also offer agua frescas. If you are in the area (maybe driving to see Twisters (which is the chicken shop shown in "Breaking Bad")) stop by and grab a popsicle to cool down."
"Best rolled ice cream in Santa Fe! I wish you guys didn't cover up the show now. You used to let people see what you were doing! Sadness. . ."
"Delicious rolled ice cream made to your liking. I ordered banana/nutella and it came with fresh banana slices. Yum! The proprietor was so accommodating to our large group! A little out of the way, but so worth it. Throw the family in the car and make the drive."
"First time visiting the location and it was a nice experience. Gentleman taking our order and fixing our crepe and milkshake was super nice and informative. My shake was delicious and my husband's crepe was everything he had been wanting and craving. It's a small cute little place. Would come again"
"Such a great experience with Desirae and Miguel today. I love that Desirae talks to every person and if you have any questions, she's got the answers and suggestions. We had the cucumber limeade, strawberry cheesecake paleta, lime paleta with tajin and took home a 6pk of different flavored paletas. Miguel was super friendly and let us sample any paleta we wanted and ended up with some I would have never thought I would get had I not tried them. Would I recommend them, 100 percent. I can't wait till it gets warmer to hang out on the patio"
"Ice cream was pretty good! My fiancé and I wanted to try the rolled ice cream for the first time. Both ordered and they seemed a little backed up but we didn't mind waiting. The fun is in watching the workers make the ice cream. There were two ladies working - one was extremely nice and friendly (blonde haired?) and the other workers seemed annoyed at having to do her job, huffing/puffing, rolling her eyes and seemed ready to go home. Overall it was good. Proportion wise - I feel like two people could just share one cup. I didn't finish all of mine."
"I don't get intimidated or scared to go into seedy parts of Albuquerque. Especially when it isn't mapped out on yelp. This Paleteria is mere minutes from my office so I stopped by for a mango con crema. It has sweet creme, whipped cream and your choice of peanuts, almonds or granola. The fruit was fresh. The lady who helped me was nice and allowed me to snap a couple pictures of this little business. They have both sweet and savory Mexican snacks like handmade popsicles, ice cream, elotes (esquite), smoothies, mangoneadas and more! The place was clean and is located in a forgotten part of the neighborhood. If you blink, you will miss it."
"Delicious very respectful and clean inside very nice hospitality i definitely recommend if your in the downtown Albuquerque area and looking for a tasty treat ice cream bar / fresh fruit"
"Got the Churro bowl and OMG AMAZING! Best Churros ever! Soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Got it with cookie dough ice cream, chocolate syrup (which hardens) and strawberries. Great portion, definitely something to share."
