"Hottest stretch of the summer and our Air Conditioner starts making weirder noises than usual. We called around and people were booking 2-3 weeks out. We just happened to get a flyer from our realtor that day, one that recommended a few service people, including Sky Swanson. We called. He answered. He showed up THAT DAY to check out the system. Sky addressed the immediate issue, creating temporary solutions that kept us going until we could make a decision about:- replacing the AC unit (for which the coolant was no longer made, so that was kind of a no brainer)- replacing the ductwork with larger-diameter ducts to accommodate the parts of the house that had been added before we moved in 26 years ago- replacing the entire furnace which was already 17 years old and kind of hacked together and not especially efficientWe got bids for all 3 options and ended up with one of those as-long-as projects, the short version of which is that we have a brand new heating and AC system. Beautiful work, MUCH more efficient, and we can barely hear the new AC unit, even when we're outside sitting near it.I can't praise Sky's work, problem-solving skills, and can-do attitude enough. Well once Antonio got here, he got straight to work. He fixed the leak in a matter of minutes. The cost was less than I imagined it would be. I was considering moving some units around, and installing wall heaters upstairs thinking I could greatly improve my system. I called Academy for advice, and they sent their field expert (Bill Collins) over to assess my situation. He spent over an hour at my home. He recommended some affordable tweaks to the system I have, and convinced me that I could easily improve the existing layout and save a bunch of money. He didn't try to sell me any services or products. When he was leaving, I asked that Academy send me a bill for his time. He told me there was no charge & that Academy considers my call a customer service. I will be a customer when I will need upgrades or repairs, so the company philosophy worked perfectly. "The owner came out twenty minutes after I called him. Very nice friendly man.My furnace was giving me headaches making Want to sleep. The owner checked the unit with his carbon monoxide tester. Had a high reading of over 700 parts per mil.The owner was able to get me a new furnace and was able to install the same day. All it a very good price. He will come back this spring and install a new AC system that he gave me a price for. "After posting this review, I was contacted by the company and provided an explanation. While the behavior and demeanor of the technician is accurate, I applaud the company for their efforts in resolving customer service issues. ------------------------------- We had a service contract with this company. Calling their office, the phone is always answered by Brianna, whom is consistently clueless about finding accounts, passing on any messages, or scheduling service. She also seems unwilling to help in any way. It's very frustrating trying to get anything scheduled. We paid a lot of money for a service contract but got no service. We finally got someone to come out and look at our bedroom unit which is less than two years old and was installed by Anderson Air Corps. A fact which they repeatedly forget. The unit needed replacement of an electronic part that they admitted was installed incorrectly. Again, they installed it but keep forgetting this. The technician said he would order the part and it would take four days. 7 days later I called to check and no one knew what I was talking about. Finally got to someone that could help and the technician emailed that he had not ordered part because he did not known if we wanted it. WTF! We have no heat so yes, we want it fixed. The whole reason for calling. Part was ordered and repaired. 3 weeks later. He also agreed to replace two thermostats with ecobee smart thermostats. He replaced one, incorrectly so only the cooling works and not the heat. It's November. He said he replaced the other one but his a cheap thermostat and left the ecobee sitting on the floor. Atill cannot get them out to replace this. The worst thing about this company is how absolutely rude and disrespectful they are when they come to your house. They treated my mom very badly and talked to her very disrespectfully. We had other workers doing things at the house and they also were very mean in the way they talked to them. My sincere advice is to never use this company. They will take your money and not provide service. They will be rude and disrespectful."

"Absolutely would recommend this company in a heart beat. I found them here on Yelp but I researched other companies and reached out to have a Nest thermostat installed. Mark ( I believe the owner) responded back right away. They would install the Nest and do a tune up check on my unit for under $100. I just bought the house in May but still live in Chicago. I called the next day and made an appointment with Sandy (wonderful lady). When I got here on 7/12, it didn't seem my AC unit was working properly. I called to let them know this may be more than just installing the Nest. Sandy set up a next day appointment for me because it's 90+ here in RR. Raphael was the tech who came the next day. What can I say? He was a great guy!! I explained to him what the situation was when I arrived and what the situation was at the present time. The house was cooler when he arrived but I thought it was the huge ceiling fans in the house. He walked around and noticed that the unit was working. My house here is much different than my Chicago home. I have a fresh air humidifier system in the house as well. He opened it up and showed me the filters were dirty. He showed me how to change them. I know the return filter was changed after the home inspection in May but not this unit. He also went up on the roof and check the coolant on the unit. He installed the Nest and we were able to get it set up and linked to my phone. He was an extremely nice man who engaged in great conversation with me and my wife. I completely recommend this company. Top notch all the way around."

Fortunately, Courtesy showed up and found an inexpensive component needed repair with the thermostat. Five years later, they repaired the AC but after a few days it stopped outputting cold air. again. They returned and admitted their mistake and fixed the problem for good. We couldn't be happier with their service and integrity. I only wish they could be cloned."

"TruAir installed mini-split system two and a half years ago. They were great to work with, and Jesse even patched a roof leak while doing the work. It was the best home improvement I've had done: both installing mini-split system, and choosing TruAir. Because of recent humidity, one indoor unit leaked some water. I called TruAir this morning, and Jesse was out in a few hours! He decided that he'd left too much horizontal run on the condensate drain line, so he cut it off shorter, tested by pouring water into drain pan, and didn't charge for service call. I can't recall being so well served by a business, and only wish I could give TruAir and Jesse a few more stars."
