"There are a handful of things that I go to El Mezquite for specifically, but it is also nice to go just see what you might find. Last night was Halloween and I gave out candy from.. you guessed it, El Mezquite. Not just because the prices are often reasonable compared to the big box stores, but it is also just fun and different. I hoped the trick or treaters enjoyed the sandia candy.I also agree with many others on the thought that their produce and meat options are superb. I have always loved the fajita mix you can get from the Mexican markets, pre-seasoned is a huge win in my book. It is also a great place to get your produce needs like onions, tomatoes, etc. My weakness is getting to the check out area and grabbing some dulce de leche which some of the options are local and just soo good."
"Staff were nice at this cute market. There were lots of Mexican specialties. Load up on Mexican pastries (marranitos...yum), poblano chilies, Mexican spices, and a gaggle of hot sauces. Prices were good. Items were clearly priced. There's a meat counter available. We went for the deli section. I didn't see anything for vegans. Maybe the rice? We had flautas plates. I wasn't a fan. The flautas seemed overcooked and possibly old. BlehI would return for the market, but not the deli.I decided on 4 stars because the market is actually wonderful...5 stars for this casual little market. However, the deli is another story. Other people seemed to like the food."

El Mezquite Market has an in house restaurant and tortilleria. Great variety of home made salsas. Large fresh meat and seafood counter. Great selection of piñatas hanging from the ceiling.

Looking for a few items to take back to Florida and this little market came up.. It's a small little market but it's very well-stocked for your simple needs..I was looking for powdered red chili in large quantities but all they had were small packages..Or wandering this isles I found Mexican candy and tortillas that are coming back to Florida with me.. The bag of chicharrones I bought won't make it..lolVery little English is spoken so be prepared to use your Spanish.. This is an authentic Mexican market..
