Daniel D. "Who the heck writes a review on Yelp about a grocery store? This guy! No one appreciates a grocery store as much as I do! Start your engines! Get ready because your getting the full scoop. I usually don't find myself on this neck of the woods unless I'm headed to the crest or headed out of town. Triangle Grocery is the one stop shop if your in the east mountains. From the aisle to the front check outs, service is similar to what you expect from a Whole Foods. These guys care about what they do and it shows on the shelves. They are very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Any concerns they'll be happy to address. The aisles are nice and clean. I hardly found any items out of place. They do a great job keeping the store nice and clean. It's about the size of your typical Whole Foods and smells like one too! The checkout staff is very polite and professional. If I didn't live so far from this place I probably would've been shopping here while back. The prices are fair, and the quality of the stuff they sell is pretty decent. The produce is similar to Whole Foods but of course it's no Whole Foods. If you're in the East Mountains it's a great place to do all your grocery shopping without having to drive into the city."

I came here to grab some grapes which were on sale, and I also like the "on sale" bakery rack in the back of the store for items that might not be super fresh anymore but are still fine! I grabbed a banana bread as well which was tasty. Lots of selection, clearly marked aisles, and self checkout makes everything good."

"Small convenience store in the middle of Madrid.I checked it out because the building where it's located it's old, beautiful, historic.Don't expect a huge or great selection of anything in here. Basic snacks and drinks, some souvenirs. Funny smell inside, I think the lady working behind the counter was smoking. Not the best customer service.Unless you need some water, a quick snack, skip it! From the street, it is not (as of June 26, 2024) easily recognizable tucked off in its little corner.I found everything I wanted here for just under $60 including sweet rice, fish sauce, miso soup packets, soup spoons, black sesame seeds & other items:+ Black sesame seeds 3.5 oz ($4.49)+ Vita Jalk Cinnamoroll drink 7.44 oz ($2.49)+ 10-lb sweet rice ($17.99)+ KKM tofu-spinach miso soup with 3 packets ($3.99)+ Maru spicy miso soup with 3 packets ($3.99)+ FD miso soup with 3 packets ($3.59)+ Luck fish sauce ($3.49)+ small soup ladles ($1.49-$2.99)Little shopping carts were available. Jaime C. "I realize there are some mixed reviews here, but my experience with Skarsgard has been thrilling. My produce is quality & fresh, many of their partnerships are local, and regional products include a description of the producer so you can see exactly where your food came from! I have been combing through their online ordering shop and am making my list of all the enticing options I plan to include in my upcoming orders (including their very own prepared local foods, like meal kits and grab-and-go options centered around seasonal produce). Their butcher shop offers NM grass fed beef, Kyzer farms pork, pasture raised chicken, and other pasture goodies. Local milks & alternatives. Fresh juice bar products, Michael Thomas Coffee, New Mexico Ferments Kombucha, Tea.o.graphy tea, in house made bakery noshes as well as other baked tempatations from Swiss Alps, Wolfe's Bagels, and Pastian's bakery. This service is exactly what I needed...I honestly have begun to loathe going into most public spaces these days, having access to this operation is very exciting for our family. The delivery was all that I'd hoped for. Gratitude Abundance Skarsgard Farms, I am so looking forward to our future orders..."

Yes, it costs a bit more for some things but the food is always kept fresh and is of very high quality. Shelves are always properly stocked. But the best part is paying for your goods. Never hardly a wait -- 4 checkout lanes, all assisted, and the clerks are all very pleasant people! Nothing like the mostly mandated self checkout lanes at Smith with long lines waiting to use them just so you can self bag and self checkout at poorly maintained machines. Natural Grocers is a gem. So glad we at least have this option in town given the mess that Smith's has become over the last few years. I try to give my grocery business to Natural Grocers as much as possible."

For some products, like local feta cheese (which is the only reason I go, then wander around and see what's on sale that I might need). It's a reasonable price. I don't really understand why anyone would shop here regularly because the pricing is so expensive for the exact same product at other places. The exception is when they have sales and then they can be a good value or if one is looking for something unusual. But in general I find it outside of my price point."

Not just because the prices are often reasonable compared to the big box stores, but it is also just fun and different. I hoped the trick or treaters enjoyed the sandia candy.I also agree with many others on the thought that their produce and meat options are superb. I have always loved the fajita mix you can get from the Mexican markets, pre-seasoned is a huge win in my book. Howie K. "Johnny. Johnny, sit down. Let's talk about who you are today and what your future holds, can we?Let me ask you, are you happy? Are you satisfied with what you've accomplished, are you where you want to be? Where do you see yourself ten years from today? Go on, be honest.Really? You mean that. You think you're doing "just fine". Well. Okay.Well, since you asked, I'll be honest: I think we all expected a lot more from you. You've always had potential. And I can imagine there was a time, not so long ago, when you provided some valuable meat and produce to the neighborhood. Back then, the Valley was a community of Old School New Mexican families, families who had matanzas, and baked scores of biscochitos each Christmas, and made the best enchiladas in the world. And to some extent, that's still true. You still serve that demographic. You do this very well. You know what? You deserve a sticker for your hard work. There, there you go. Do you like your unicorn sticker? So anyway. A new generation of people now reside in the Valley, and to be honest, you haven't been paying attention. You've refused to adapt, to change, and for a business, that can spell death. When I wander your aisles, I can feel the Grim Reaper breathing on the suspect meat section, the cardboard-skinned tomatoes, and the discount greens which will go bad tomorrow in that refrigerator. I suppose I'm being a little harsh, here. You did update the freezer section and you renovated the liquor department big time, and you now feature an acceptable variety of micro brews. But a man cannot live on pot pies and porter alone. This new generation of Valley residents actually cares about eating produce that wasn't picked in Argentina and will drop a lot more cash on a bite to eat if they know it's nutritious.I think you need to re-evaluate your life, Johnny. I think it's time. You're not competing with anybody here, and dammit, I'm sick of driving across town for groceries. Get with the program."

Howie K. "Covid update!Remember the days when we had the luxury of picking and choosing where we bought groceries? I'd buy meats from the butcher, produce from the co-op, maybe swing by a cafe for some single-source coffee beans, get some bulk goods from Costco, and grab a baguette from the bakery. Oh, that was SO October. Fast forward just one month, we're back to sheltering in place. We need a one-stop shop that delivers the goods to the doorstep, and that means we're going with Sprouts. No disrespect to our local shops -- don't hate the player, hate the pandemic. Sprouts uses Instacart, allowing us to pick what we want, and when we want it delivered, and now that we've ordered a few times, we're satisfied with the process. Yes, it's sometimes a mess. For instance, on Tuesday they reported they were out of the turkey breast and buttermilk we ordered -- that put a big damper on Thanksgiving. And then there was the time we ordered six bananas and received six bunches; win some, lose some. And yes, prices are inflated to pay the employees who pack and deliver the goods, and yes, we throw in a delivery tip, and yes, it's a pricier ordeal than it usually is, BUT we're doing our part to keep emergency rooms manageable and essential workers safe and that, my friends, is especially valuable right now."

Sure I'm older but not stupid. I can figure out how to use self check out ( early morning shopper here) but on each occasion that I've been here I'm busy scrolling through the baked goods tab to find the bagel or donut and quantity I've got and employees come by to ask me what's in the bag, pick the bagel image, pick quantity 2, etc. for each item I have in my hand. Every. Single. Item.SO ANNOYING! My husband has been with me and he's gotten mad. I let him scan items at self check out a few times to test something out .His conclusion was the morning employees are not color blind. He's stopped by after he drops me off in the evening at this location and not been bothered by those folks. He is older and even with images on the screen he gets frustrated, this is why I do the scanning, etc and he pays I'm wondering if this location has issues with theft that I get the side eye while I'm here?I enjoy my shopping at Smiths and every employee I've ever encountered at various stores has been friendly, helpful and courteous BUT this one.No, I won't be returning to this location."
