"It was a pleasure working with JJ and Marcos at Albuquerque Tile and Stone. They installed Granite countertops for our kitchen remodel. Their price was second to the lowest of three bids, but I felt more confident working with them than the lowest bidder because JJ was receptive, had a website and office, and was a good communicator responding to text messages and phone calls even after 7 pm. Which brings us to the 5th star. This is my first attempt at building cabinets and remodeling the kitchen so I had very little experience and needed someone who could convince me that they really envisioned what I wanted. JJ went to Arizona tile with me to pick out my slab and was very patient while I waffled between two nearly identical pieces. They were extra accommodating in meeting our Thanksgiving deadline when I barely got the cabinets built the day before. They made sure they were ready to go as soon as I was. Marcos has a very efficient turnaround time, next day, sometimes same day as templating. The install went very smoothly. The countertops have held up a turkey and four martinis and nothing has crashed through the floor into the basement yet. The cut was perfect and well polished. I had some extra trim and asked for an add-on window sill. They just tacked on a couple hours of labor and didn't try to gouge me on the price. I was pleasantly surprised. They do accept credit cards but pass the fees on to the buyer so cash is cheaper."

New Again Surface Restoration

"Ok, I'm editing my original review for these guys from 1 star to 5. I normally don't do that so I promise I will explain why so this will be a bit of a long review. We were sort of at a loss for what to do since not many places seem to do this type of work so we gave them a second chance. Not only did the owner show up on time for the quote, he was extraordinarily helpful and gave us some good tips on other surfaces and how to maintain. Extremely knowledgeable, very nice guy. They were very accommodating with scheduling and the day of they were on time and ready to roll. We initially called them to restore and reseal our stone tile that was in horrible shape from not being cleaned or maintained properly from the previous owner. We tried everything we could and just couldn't get it clean. After the visit and asking some questions, we ended up with the trifecta of things we didn't even know he did. Not because he was pushy by any means, he actually told us how to do it ourselves but we asked if he did work like that because it would take us FOREVER and would be one of those weekend projects we would procrastinate (not to mention the cost of materials we'd have to get and only use a tiny amount of). What we ended up with was deep cleaning and resealing of the stone (travertine) tile, polishing and resealing of our granite countertops, and carpet cleaning of the high traffic areas. Yup. They do all that. And his prices were extremely reasonable.The guys were great- extremely professional and friendly. The tools they use are pretty cool as well and they explained what each of them was doing. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them. So, a couple of tips:- Follow up with them if you don't get an immediate response. There were a couple of things that were forgotten but quickly remedied. I think they're just busy and a family-run business so some communication details get lost in the shuffle. (hey, remember that quote you said you were going to send by email?...)- We thought it was going to take at least half a day but we moved everything we could off the surfaces which seemed to cut the time in half, if not more. I think they normally do move a lot of things for folks because they seemed surprised. lol We also vacuumed everything right before they came over. - If you have granite or quartz countertops and have never resealed/polished them- do it. I don't think ours had ever been done and they are as smooth as glass now (more so than they were). - Ask them questions! They're a wealth of knowledge and will give you all sorts of good info for maintaining the surfaces and how to take care of them. - When they do the first pass with the cleaner on your tile, brick, or whatever you will feel like a dirty little hamster. I promise you. It was so nasty but have solace in the fact that they've probably seen worse. LOL"

Straight Line Painting

"I needed someone to fix a wall and a couple of water-damaged areas on the ceiling on the first floor of my 2-story house. The wall area was about 4 foot by 8 foot, one ceiling spot was about 2 foot by 3 foot, and the last was about 1 foot by 4 foot. The problem was that the walls and ceiling have texture. The walls have orange peel and the ceiling has some weird, thick texturing. Efren sent in Thomas and I cannot give this guy enough credit for the insanely amazing job he did! The repairs cannot be distinguished from the rest of the walls and ceiling! I am completely blown away, I've never seen this level of skill in my life! I absolutely recommend Straight Line Painting. They saved me a lot of heartache!"

"I contacted this company for a bid to redo my floors. It was a fairly large job. I spoke with Jessie who did the initial work up of the bid and she was knowledgeable and professional. Going forward, there were some issues with communication but we were able to resolve them. The crew showed up on the designated date and time and work began. I was impressed from the beginning with the efficiency of the crew and the care which they took to my things as they removed the furniture etc. The project involved ripping out bamboo floors and tile on the ground floor and tile and carpet in the upstairs. The plan was critical since myself and animals would be living there during the project. The project manager and I developed a plan. As the demolition and construction began, I was happy with the work. Some days they appeared to work fewer hours than I would've thought was the best idea. I am mentioning that because as the project begin to draw to a close, they started rushing their work. This company would've had a better review had this not happened. Upon completion, as I was preparing to clean and replace my furniture I found a number of issues. I called and complained and most of these issues were fixed although a couple of them I had not found at the time I made the call. I don't believe I should've had to have called, however. Poulin represents themselves as a top quality company and as such, a walk-through and inspection at the conclusion should've been part of the project. That being said, the company contacted me again and we discussed the issues at length. The project manager and foreman came out today and addressed all the issues. Then there was a follow up call from someone in management. At this point, I would probably hire them again. I can understand how issues can happen and many companies do not make the effort to make it right if there are problems. Poulin went to great lengths to assure that I was satisfied. That is very important and sadly hard to find in the world today."

"I would give Abq Flooring Solutions more stars if Yelp would let me. I hired Lorenzo and his team to replace old carpets in my house with bamboo flooring in one room and carpeting in another. Lorenzo cautioned me about bamboo in the desert (it expands and contracts ALOT!), but I explained that I have it in other parts of my house, and really like it. After talking through the range of possible work, Lorenzo gave me an itemized cost estimate and a fair price. At every turn, he and his team made this project convenient and easy for me. They arrived when they said they would, told me what to expect each day of the work, and stayed in good contact by phone and text. Most importantly, the quality of their work is outstanding. They pay close attention to detail, make sure their work looks and feels right, and they don't cut corners on the finishing details. This level of professionalism and quality of work is hard to find. I will definitely call Abq Flooring Solutions for future projects."

"I do NOT recommend this place for smaller projects. I should have taken the hint when my fabricator said to not use this business. I went in on June 11th with a piece of marble that was very important to me. It had been in our family for almost a century and I needed it cleaned polished and cut down for a new piece of furniture. The lady at the front counter, although pleasant, seemed extremely clueless. My son and I had to talk her through measurements, drawings, schematics..., We finally wrote up the order and she said it would be about 3 weeks. After 4 weeks I called, and she said they lost my number. Thank God I called. She said the pieces were not finished, (We also ordered a separate piece to be cut from a big slab of theirs for a vanity.) she said they would be ready by ready by the next Monday. They were not. I had to call again and she said they are ready, they really don't get to small projects until they have time. I commented that I thought 5 weeks should be plenty of time. She said they'll get to it when they get to it. So then I called the next Monday and spoke to someone someone named Will I believe.He apologized, but not sincerely. He basically was implying that small jobs are not really important and he gave attitude and said I was welcome to come pick my piece up. He did in sincerely offer to have them ready by 4:30 that day. I said that would be fine, and I could pick them up tomorrow on my way to my dentist appointment. When we arrived, neither piece was ready. They didn't even call me. Another waste of my time. And the receptionist attitude again was "Oh well, we're sorry" Absolutely unprofessional, and either understaffed or they just don't give a darn about their customers. If they didn't want to do a job that was under $1,000, they could have just saved me the time and money and said so. Now I have to find an actual reputable stone work business but I'm extremely happy I got my heirloom marble out of their hands."

"Love these people! Debbie, Anthony and their employees are fabulous to work with and are friendly and nice but very skilled and professional and you can tell they do excellent work every time. They were to replace my bathroom tile because it was cracking and, unfortunately, they found some water damage down to the subfloor. Anthony was the greatest in supporting me when I did not expect any problems. Off they went to the store and got supplies and made me a new floor that will probably last longer than I will. They then installed the tile - the original job - and it is beautiful. Can't thank them or recommend them enough!!! Everyone should use these guys!"

"We remodeled our entire kitchen and Raby supplied the cabinets. They definitely went above and beyond for us. I was a bit indecisive and their interior designer took so much time to help me pick colors. She even Facetimed with me so she could see my home, and help give advice. Bob, helped with measuring everything, and was so patient with us in deciding what cabinet and drawer sizes to order. The cabinets did take a little while to come in, however, it was completely worth the wait. Their installer was incredible, and made sure everything was 100% perfect. He even installed the handles at no additional cost. We are now remodeling a few additional rooms in our home, and will only order our cabinets through Raby. Eloy let us take the swatch board home to decide which one we liked. The carpet is high quality. Luckily, we already had someone scheduled to install it and we provided our own padding. Even if you have them install it and provide padding, it's still more reasonable that those other stores. When we replace the tile in our bathrooms, we will be checking out cash and carry again."
