"I am a wino. My retirement plan is to buy some land and start a winery. I avoid some things (merlot and chardonnay) but I'll try anything at least once. So of course I enjoy a good romp through any and every wine store that crosses my path.Intrigued by the little courtyard, I ventured around the corner and into the wine store. The man behind the counter was helping someone, so I just started to browse myself. I was hoping to find something unique to share with my friend in appreciation of her welcoming me into her home for the weekend. I did find many impressive bottles - but frankly nothing affordable for a casual weekend. Their selection was amazing, and I would have liked to have heard more about it, but no one came to talk to me... so I really didn't feel like paying the price. So if you're looking for an expensive library wine to impress, this place seems like it would have something for you, but it's not friendly for the casual browser."
"A nice liquor store with a great selection of vermouth and amaro - unusual for a town this size. When we stopped there a few years back we purchased a new-to-us brand of Old Tom Gin. We returned hoping to find it again, but alas, it was not to be. The enthusiastic young clerk kept trying to convince us that "this is a good gin" or "this is a good gin". I had to tell her again that what we were looking for was a particular type of gin, Old Tom Gin. She was nice, but perhaps didn't understand what we had said. (They did not have any brand of Old Tom Gin.)"
"Awesome small local bar with more on draft than larger pubs. Fabulous liquor choices as well - I was impressed. The music is jammin and their are many TV's to watch sports. The bar was clean and modern. The bartender is super friendly and fun. The overall vibe is upbeat and the patrons are quite social. I will definitely be visiting again!"
"Their wine selection is absolutely absurd! I bet they have 500-700 different wines in about a 15x12' space. And, they're all labeled with tasting notes. Impressive!!!FWIW, I'm a retired sommelier."
"Good location and huge store! There's something for everyone here. They have ample types of liquor, beer, wine and energy drinks (4Loko FTW)! I also like the mini fridge of frozen drinks like premade pina coladas and daiquiris."
"Only saw one guy in store checking us out. He didn't speak English but was pleasant and quick. Would go back,"
"Hello, my name is Carolyn, and I brew beer. Homebrewers need a mothership - a place to go when you need grains and yeast, break your hydrometer (for the 5th time), want to oogle and drool over that 15-gallon stainless conical fermenter, or are seeking inspiration for your next brew. Southwest Grape & Grain is my mothership. The staff are friendly and helpful, the ingredients are good quality and always well-stocked, and the prices are good.First time brewing? Don't know the difference between all-grain and extract? Curious what SG, OG, and FG mean? Just ask the guy in the red shirt for non-judgmental guidance. The folks here are happy to explain the process and set you up with all the gear and ingredients that you need to get going. If you're a regular (or soon to be), you should definitely take part in their Loyalty Program. After spending $250 (over time, not in one transaction), you'll receive $25 store credit...so essentially a delayed 10% discount.Hoppy Brewing!"
"We just moved so we had to clear out our liquor cabinet (well I guess we didn't HAVE to clear it out, but when you're paying by weight it seems silly to ship liquor around the country). So-o, I came to liquor barn with a long list of stock items. -Vodka- nice selection and normal prices-Wine- very extensive selection, and some of the ones that aren't well-known but are good values, like a Soave from Italy that I love, Gini.Classico- their wine buyer nows what they're doing - tons of good quality wines for $15 and under-Gin- unfortunately they didn't have Quintessential or Magellan, hubby's preferences, but they offered to order them for us- got another English one, haven't broken into it yetTriple Sec, Vermouth, other mixers- all normal pricesBeer- wow- this is like Liquor Mart, BevMo, or Dick's- huge selection of microbrews, which is GREAT for us 'cause my husband is particular about his beer (being a brewer himself)- good prices and things you don't normally see, like Rasputin, Le Fin du Monde, etc. Belgian selction good too- prices normalGood find, I will be back soon to check out the other Soaves they have.Edit 11/21- went back to pick up some of that Soave and they had ordered the Quintessential gin for me! How nice is that? Definitely glad I found this place, it's so nice to shop somewhere where my business is appreciated."
"And she bangs, she bangsOh babyWhen she moves, she movesI go crazy'Cause she looks like a flower, but she stings like a beeLike every girl in historyShe bangs, she bangs...TapnTaco is totally that...Mondays, they have Birria tacos which are most delicious...they look and taste like french dip, with an au jus to dip the taco, but much more.Yes, wickedly good. We washed ours down w. a Long Island Ice Tea for the Lass and a bottle of Pacifico for the Lad. A very relaxed comfortable respite from the Desert Heat mon..:)Talk to meTell me your nameI'm just a link in your daisy chainYour rap sounds like a diamondMap to the starsYeah, baby..:)Best. Avram Rik Martin Jr."
"This is a basic gas station and convenience store. You do need a key for the bathroom but they are self serve instead of having to ask the cashier. They have some cute displays like for bottles cokes. There is a large alcohol section and Fat Sat's is next door if you are craving a burrito! The location is conveniently right off the highway and very clean inside! Will definitely stop in again in the future!"
"Wonderful little gem stashed away in the back of Garden Gate spa. Nice and quiet for a meeting and a beer. Serve was bubbly and attentive."
"A few things have happened here that make me willing to drive a bit out of the way (or at least take a different route home) to fill up here. One my dad observed an interaction where someone stole something (likely food). He overheard the staff kindly (and quietly) saying, "please don't steal again, just ask and we will get you some food," while passing the shoplifter something to eat.The other nice thing is that I asked if they'd donate postcards (51) for a class project I was doing I quickly got a reply and was able to go in and my postcards were waiting for me behind the counter. Thank you Latitudes for supporting and setting a positive example for your community."

You should budget about 90 minutes to browse here before making your purchase. Labels and vintners you never heard of before and all carefully stored at the correct temperatures.

Guys behind the counter were awesome and didn't push any products on me. Knowledgeable and helpful. There's a $9.99/bottle rack with some nice picks!Remarkable selection of wine with competitive pricing in the +$60/bottle range. Nice variety of vintages as well. Favorites include Martinelli Zinfandel, Merry Edwards Klopp Ranch Pinot, Heitz Cabernet. Strong showing in reds from California, Spain, and Italy.Beer selection is also decent.

Always the "go to" spot on my way home! Great selection and everyone is always so nice! The parking is a bit tricky and I find that parking a little farther away makes for an easier "out".

I've got to give these guys the downgrade because I've learned more about them in subsequent visits. First of all, I kept noticing they had all these beers that I never see at any other stores in the city and I wondered why. Well, it turns out these are beers that once were distributed to New Mexico, but haven't been in over two years. So these beers are all two years old!!! And sitting there at full-price just waiting for unsuspecting customers to come in and buy. Believe me, this place thrives on unsuspecting customers. Let me explain why. I went in a week and a half ago and immediately noticed a CASE of Ska Vinifera Stout (a beer that probably came out in March) on sale for $12. That's like 24-30 beers for $12 when one six pack normally runs $8-9. So I was sitting there examining a can looking for a Best By date and not having luck. An employee looked at me suspiciously and asked brusquely, "Can I help you?" in that tone that suggested "I got my eyes on you." I explained that I was looking for a date to no response. Having no luck, I moved on.I headed to the cooler, began perusing, and began looking at a bottle from Deschutes that said 2011 on it. This time, I was looking for the ABV to see if the beer was one of those that could survive two years on the shelf due to its high alcohol. A lady comes up to me and again says "May I help you?" in a way that employees ask when they think you're up to no good. Mind you, I was in my work attire and in no way looked like a thief. I said again what i was doing and the lady said "You're not from one of our competitors are you?" Ha! If I was, I wouldn't tell ya, lady. Nope, I was just trying to make an educated decision, but BOP DOESN'T LIKE EDUCATED CONSUMERS!. They, just like Total Swine, are more than happy to pawn off expired goods to consumers. This is criminal.I may go in from time to time to pick up a goodie that has been sitting their for 5 years knowing that it essentially has just been aging, but damned if I EVER, buy anything else from here.

I drive tourists around this city on a contract basis for various clients and I get a lot of people who want me to drive them to a liquor store after they arrive at the Santa Fe Airport or getting off Railrunner Transit so they can relax at their vacation rental or Air BNB... I have completely stopped taking them to this liquor store because several of the employees will just not sell to them. The frequent complaints I have been getting is that the staff fakes them looking, acting, or smelling like they may have had a drink before entering the store. It is very frustrating because as a driver, I would rather take them to Total Wine a quarter mile away because they have better prices and a friendlier staff. None of the other Kelly Liquors locations do this. It is specifically one older Asian gentleman who is usually the problem and he also won't make a sale for lower priced items for some reason, and a lot of the time it isn't even for an alcohol sale. It's weird, and as a local, i understand not making a sale to an inebriated customer, but this specific employee also seems to target tourists of color and race.

Nerd alert, so I have been interested in making my own cream cheese for a couple months. So I had been on the lookout for a key component called rennet. I have friends that are scientists, and they were championing making their own cream cheese. Saying it tastes whey better, and is much cheaper. So after asking for this item at whole foods and the co- op, the cheese buyer at the co- op directed me here. What a fabulous store. I would say it fits all levels novice to advanced for wine, beer, and cheese making. Unlike other reviewers the staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. I was directed to a cooler in the back that has all kinds of brewing yeast strains, and cheese making cultures. I also bought a tunable thermometer, and a USA made cheese cloth- specially made for making soft style cheeses. Making cheese is easier than you think, same with bread. Cream cheese is a good gateway cheese. Maybe I preparing for the downfall of society, learning to make all that I covet. Or maybe it is my moms German and Swedish crafty heritage, and wanting to know that there is just wholesomeness and love, and not a bunch of preservatives and additives in what I am eating. We will surely be back when we decide to delve into the art of brewing beer.

Warehouse 'O Booze!Great variety of liquor and beer. I haven't checked out the wine selection yet but I'm guessing its amazing as well. The place isn't as stylish and neat as Susan's but shit, their selection is just as good if not maybe better and their pricing is comparable if not better.Get your drink on and get drunk, bitches.Sláinte!

"What a treat! We literally slammed on the brakes and turned into the parking lot, not knowing we were in for the treat of our lives! We did a beer flight and a white wine flight. LOVED the beers! ALL OF THEM! Our guy who took care of us, was the best! He told us the story of Lol Llorana... the best! We will be back if ever in Santa Fe area againUpdate to this review: I just watched the movie The Curse of La Llarona, the bartender at Blue Heron Brewing company told the story much better and scarier!"
"I was with a group who attended a private sake tasting. Jim hosted us and did a wonderful job teaching us about sakes. It was very interactive and informative. Susan's is an amazing place worth a visit"
"I come here every week. Iconik coffee with breakfast is always a perk. Some of the best, most consistent food in town. Don't miss out on the specials! I've never had something here I didn't like. It's great to go somewhere and see the same faces. You can tell people enjoy working here. Their red and green chile snacks. Nice, spacious and clean restaurant. Smoke parking."
"(I wrote this on their restaurant Yelp page, but wanted to make sure that the liquor portion of the business got their due as this is where we shopped!) Okay, WOW! When I think of the way family-owned business was and is-- this establishment is going to be what comes to mind. This is a combination liquor store and restaurant. Customer service is their name and I just can't believe how well they do it. We were in the neighborhood, honestly, just looking to buy a few minis, and came about Monte Carlo. We left with 8 bottles of liquor, 1 case of wine, cups, ice, and the minis we originally came for! We were greeted the moment we walked in the door, pointed towards the sale items, given recommendations and offered samples-- I felt like royalty! We were explained that this business has been a local presence for many, many years and it's no surprise why. We will continue to come here, even though we live 30 minutes away, given this fantastic experience, wonderful prices, and exceptional service!"
"I arrived an hour before my reservation and enjoyed the service, bread, raspberry jam and creamy butter before dinner.Jay and Francessa were most hospitable and i moved promptly to my table.Since daylight savings time had occurred there was not much to see and my table lacked much of a sightline anyway in early evening in NovemberWe enjoyed an exquisite pear salad with goat cheese and then the Fish special. Dessert was a cinnamon roll with a tiny dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. We spent a good two hours at table and never felt rushed or overly intruded upon There was a noticeable pride and courteous joyfulness exhibited by the staff It seems the restaurant seating area is a bit more diminished than i remember it being. But one did not have to battle with other noise throughout the evening which i find to be rare among the local restaurants We wish the staff a wonder -filled holiday season"
"A fantastic local spot! We have a family home in Santa Fe and try to visit a few times, yearly and actually just found this business. They have been around for 14 years and celebrate local wine, beer and spirits as well as house a sensational collection of beverages from across the globe. We went in New Year's Eve for champagne. They were sold out of what we were going to buy initially. The sales person suggested a nice alternative. We are excited to try the bottle. When we walked in at least three staff asked how they could help and they mentioned their tasting corner. We will definitely be back in to sample some wine! Highly recommend!"
"The selection at Jubilation is amazing. They have a huge selection of finer wines, craft beers, and local liquors. If you are looking for a gift for someone with discerning tastes or want something special for yourself, this is definitely the place to go.What really sets Jubilation apart is the fact that they have miniatures for the local liquors, which I haven't seen elsewhere. It's been really cool to discover new stuff and support local businesses. Plus then it seems like we are super on trend and in the know when we give the gift of a local, amazing liquor that someone hasn't tried before. The only negative here is that they seem a little too pushy here. It's almost to the point where you feel like they might be watching to see if you steal something as opposed to trying to help you. Yikes!"
"Great selection of fresh produce and meats. They have plenty of coupons on their app that rotate semi-regularly. You just can't beat bananas for 33 cents a pound."
"This place is about 8 miles North of town- it is combined with a gas station and convenience store. This place is an awesome, divey kind of roadhouse place with a huge dance floor, awesome shows, and good beer. It can be kind of scary if you're not used to bikers and freaks, but if you like that, this is your kind of place. Also, the bartenders were always friendly and easy to talk to. I miss it... sigh."
"Great selection of beer and alcohol and very friendly staff. If you plan to have a drink at the bar next door (they are owned by the same business) be sure to stop by the liquor store first."
"This place is great! Not an enormous selection prone to overwhelm. In fact, it's a bit limited, but at the same time perfectly diverse. The volume of new and interesting spirits had me annoying my friends in my enthusiastic browsing; they were ready to go, like, 15 minutes ago. Not me! I was ooo'ing and aaah'ing and agonizing over which bottles to take home. So many New Mexico products too! I had no idea our state was such a prolific distiller. I didn't ask, but I reckon local flavor is their shtick. And the spirit prices were very reasonable in my estimation (though the wine and beer prices were on the dissatisfyingly high side of average)."You visiting from out of town?" The clerk asked me. "Well, I'm visiting from the south side," I said. Dang I wish this place was in my hood. But then again, I'm glad it's not, because I'd have a much bigger home bar than anyone has a right to."
"This could be the best pizza in Albuquerque... and their meatballs are uhhmazing! The consistency of the pizza dough is excellent - not thin, not dough-ey, but a great crust... The sausage topping they use is so good. The meatballs are huge and tasty too. I always buy an order to go so I can have meatball sandwiches the next day. Yum!"
"In New Mexico you can purchase wine in grocery stores or just about anywhere. Down the street from Kelly Liquors is an Albertson's. Kelly's is about 15% to 20% cheaper than Albertson's. They have a better selection too. One of my biggest gripes with places that sell wine is they have wines that have been recommended with a rating of 89% or 91% for example. Every single recommended card under the wine is for a wine that is two or more years younger than the wine in display. One wine year might be great, but the next year could be swill. It should be expected that a liquor store would keep up with this. The employees at Kelly's have always been helpful. Checkout is quick. Overall, if you are in Placitas or Bernalillo, it's a convenient place to buy your favorite beverage at a reasonable price."
"Great place to relax and take a break from shopping in Old Town.Downshift has tasty and refreshing beers, and fantastic folks serving it. We really enjoyed the beers and the vibe here. Service was fantastic."
"If you're near the Amtrak station, or anywhere downtown really, you can't find a better market than Silver Street. Staffed by knowledgeable folks who are seemingly always in a great mood, and full of food and sundries to fit any taste or budget, this little place is a gem. Amtrak's Southwest Chief stops in ABQ long enough that any passenger has time to make the short walk here and back, and the selection of pre-made food is miles ahead of the junk you'll find on the train. Their ten varieties (no really- TEN!) of breakfast burritos are my favorite, and I wish I'd taken a photo before consuming them, but oh well! Basically, go here, be happy, thank me later."
"I was able to spend a week in Taos over Christmas and went to Bumps multiple times while I was there. It's pretty barebones, but Bumps has pretty much anything you would need as far as snacks and beverages while in the valley."
"they have an amazing selection and great prices. and right next door to el parasol! i order my food, pop in here to get libations for later, then back next door to get my food and goooooo!"
"Luke and his dad are super duper sweet and if you ever find yourself in Espanola, NM, you MUST stop by and pay them a visit. They've been around for 60 years and I wish I could've stayed a little longer to hear some crazy stories. I also got to meet a couple of locals and one of these kind gentleman bought me a shot! I also picked up my hubby a long sleeve T-shirt and newspaper and he loved it."
"Everything was DELICIOUS!! After a long day and flight in, we needed to find ANYTHING open in town (as most close at 5PM). So glad we stopped by! Just a casual New Mexican style cocina vibe. The two servers working were literally magic. They did not stop for one second- inviting people to sit and like a carefully curated orchestra, checked in with everyone, and were just great!! Food was soo good- huge portion, cheesy, delicious. It was our first NM meal. Wish we lived here so we could eat there again!"
"Pricey, and not the greatest selection. They sell crack pipe rose stems with a display that says, "Show her you love her" next to the brillo... Hilarious. The best thing about this liquor store is the fact that they post pictures of all their caught shoplifters on their counter... So you get educated about the local color at the same time as you're buying your bottle of Thunderbird.note that due to NM laws, they don't open on Sundays until 12:00 Noon, and there's usually a really long line on that day for about an hour."
"Loved the lunch we had on eclipse Monday! Full bowls of green chili pork stew and chicken Mac and cheese! The Aronold Palmer's were not too sweet and paired perfectly with our lunch!"
"What the heck is a four star liquor store? I'll admit right up front, this is totally a relative rating, because relative to the two other liquor stores in Taos, this ones the best. You are not in Santa Fe, so adjust your expectations. But in this town the locals send you to Del Norte for the best selection and for the very helpful staff. Pretty decent tequila offerings - kind of required in this part of the country."
"OK here we go. This 5 star review is based on purely utilitarian lines.Tax free smokes.Well priced growler refills. Good cigar humidor.Competitively priced gas.Standard convenience store supplies.$ goes to native Americans. NOT on.Sometimes scketchy clientele and or employees.Overpriced liquor section.Crazy parking lot.Come here for the right reasons you good. Come for the wrong and leave grumpy.Forewarned."
