"Golden pride is consistently good food. My favorite is the green chili stew. If you do not like spicy chili then this is not for you. The number nine is a favorite by most. It's the best breakfast burrito in town in my opinion but my new favorite item is the number five. It's just a bean and cheese burrito. Add green chili and it's a hit. Oh, don't forget about the sweet roll because those are amazing"
"I have a very special place in my heart for people that work on Christmas eve and Christmas day. I know there are many who are called to work because they were told to but you occasionally run across wonderful, good hearted people that truly love what they do and make a point to spread holiday cheer to their customers. The staff at the Tiwa Restaurant and Lounge were fantastic. We were visiting family in New Mexico and decided to stay at the Isleta Casino hotel since it was close to where the family lives. We rolled into the hotel and got checked in and looked around for dining options. The Tiwa Restaurant and Lounge was a perfect choice. Although we had Christmas dinner at the restaurant, I want to tell you about breakfast. Light, fluffy eggs, delicious eggs benny, huevos rancheros, corned beef hash and eggs, cinnamon rolls or Belgium waffles, this place hits the spot.Serving sizes were huge, flavors of red and green chile authentic and hash browns adorned every order. Located in the main lobby of the Isleta Casino Hotel, Tiwa restaurant and Lounge is the perfect travel stop for breakfast or a hearty lunch or dinner. The Hotel and Casino is a quick 20 minutes south of Downtown Albuquerque and less than 10 minutes from the Airport. Here's a great plan. Have a great breakfast at the hotel, and have the golf car shuttle take you across the street to the golf course for a wonderful day on the links.Whatever your choice of activity, go have breakfast at the Tiwa restaurant."

"Happy Holidays to me! Snuck away from work to grab myself the yummiest pulled pork sandwich in town from NBS! I love their red chile bbq sauce as it's not too sweet, not very smoky, but packs that red chile flavor I didn't know I needed in bbq sauce. Also love me all the collard greens and when they add in brisket to theirs, you know it's extra extra good (but also not oily). Potato salad always pairs well with pulled pork and theirs is standard on the vinegar side (IMO), and I like it! Staff is always rock solid per usual and know how to give quick service. Bbq ain't easy to keep up with. Takes a lot of TLC and patience to produce good meats. If you're in town, going to a lobo or isotopes game, or just craving some good ass bbq, stop here!!"
"Where do I even begin..... I started visiting Mike's a few months back. After the first time I ate the brisket, I dreamt of it the following night. Staff, 10/10. Mike is a goon in the best way, he is so funny and will always put a smile on your face. He has a few other employees who are so lovey. I usually see Mike in Corrales, he always has his loaded menu and even brings special items sometimes. I am partial to the brisket, a thick piece of meat so delicious it'll make your mouth water. My boyfriend is partial to the burnt pork belly ends - and no not burnt like over cooked, like burnt to perfection. Check out Mighty Mike's Meats on Instagram to see his weekly schedule. And finally, yes I have tried all other rivals in town, and mike TRULY has them best."
"Always a family favorite Picking up a tub of green chile stew....50oz tub literally!Solid stew, they use ground beef, don't expect chunks of porkPosole sold same way here, it's all good, pay attention at the drive thru....very different way of doing things here but very efficient Get you some!!"
"Best Barbecue in town is Nexus smokehouse on Broadway, also you must try there Chocolate Porter, nice people"
"Wow I am amazed at the remarkable renovations this place has undergone. It looks so spacious and provides a great atmosphere! I ordered the combination plate and it was absolutely amazing. For my sides I got the beans which were chef's kiss hands down and the Jo Jo fries !! The food was amazing and the service was great the waitress was knowledgeable on all the food items and drinks available, she was fast and courteous! I definitely will be going back!"
"This is a review of strictly the sushi aspect of Takumi, as I did not try the grill menu.Takumi is easily one of the top 3 sushi restaurants in Albuquerque. Prices are extremely competitive and quality is amazing for the price. My chirashi donburi was $16, and the 12-piece sashimi was $23. Fish slices are generous and delicious, no complaints from either of us. The wasabi is also crazy fresh causing me to tear up several times, when I normally tolerate it well.We also got gyoza in spicy sauce, which wasn't that great. Nothing wrong with it, I was just expecting more spice and it didn't deliver. Gyoza were fine though, not undercooked or anything like that.Their menu is pretty diverse, including sushi rolls, sashimi, teriyak dishes, bento boxes, and the hibachi menu and grill menu. Service was great, food was great, nothing wrong from my end. Will definitely be coming back for more!"
"I don't like BBQ. Mostly, because of the smoke flavor and not fond of just meat. But hubs LOVES BBQ and wanted to stop here for lunch. So l, after reading Yelp reviews we pulled in to the large parking lot and went in. You go to the counter and the menu is printed above the window. They have fountain sodas and bottles in a tub with ice (including Mexican coke). There are limited non BBQ foods-salads and Mac & Cheese. Hubs wanted to try a couple of things but it was so much so I said I would share his. So Hubs got BBQ brisket and pulled pork with ranch beans. And I got a side of Mac & Cheese. The BBQ was excellent. It wasn't heavy smoke flavor and the meat was tender and delicious. Both of us enjoyed it. The ranch beans were good as well. The only thing I didn't like was the one thing I thought was safe-Mac & Cheese! It was dry and a solid in the cup. I only ate about half. Service was good. The menu was good for a BBQ place. And the food was some of the best we've had anywhere!! They won me over! I do recommend stopping by if you are near Springerville. We will definitely be back! And I will be looking forward to it!"
"Always good! So good the ribs don't need bbq sauce! Steaks are are good as any steakhouse!"
"The key word here is smoky flavor. You can try your hand at prepping your own ribs at home, etc. but you won't get the smokiness achieved at Nomad's. I tried this recently and failed miserably. So what to order here? I liked the pulled pork even though I am not a huge fan. They pull this off very well (this might be one of their strong items actually). You can't go wrong with a full rack of ribs, dipping them in their signature bbq sauce will have you licking your fingers. You also need to have the hot links, because they are hot links. I tried the sweet corn side which paired very well with everything. I recommend calling in your order in advance as things sell out."
"We both do BBQ differently. He has a great product too. Good to both be part of the Belen sit down restaurant biz rather than fast food. Greg is a really great guy you want to meet. Tom. Proprietor Hub City Brew Pub"

I don't get the burrito hype. Breakfast burritos are mostly potato. The bacon is microwaved bacon. I'll admit, the green chile is the best you will find but I don't like a mouth full of green chile mushy hash browns. I have lived here my entire life and this corner and the restaurant has gotten so trashy! The morning traffic is a nightmare with U turns & lines in the street! They really need to renovate or rebuild this restaurant and tear down the old gas station & car wash area. The entire corner is an eyesore in the neighborhood.

It was a very delicious place! It's a no frills lunch spot but I really liked their meats. My husband got the 3 meat combo platter with sausage, brisket and burnt ends. It was all cooked and seasoned well. I did a 1/2 plate of nachos and found the ground beef to be really dry and chewy. Their pico de gallo was some of the best I have ever had though so it balanced out. They pour a stiff drink and have a nice beer selection.

Possibly the best breakfast burrito in town. We stopped by because we heard he'd be out with Catalyst Coffee truck at North Domingo Park today. We ordered the pork belly breakfast burrito, and requested dairy free. The burrito was huge, enough for four of us to sample after taking our dogs to the dog park there. The pork belly was smokey, fatty, mouthwatering, and the burrito was flavorful with a little bbq sauce, egg, potatoes, and green chile! Highly recommend.

We went to a very busy location but we did not wait long and the employees were very kind and helpful. A family member suggested this location and it wow! It did not disappoint. Chicken was amazingly delicious although we did not finish our food because it was a very 3 large pieces of chicken for each meal. Sides were on key as well, hubby enjoyed the spicy beans. Definitely will return & recommend.

Bottom Line:Very tasty BBQ fare. Plenty friendly staff. Somewhat higher priced than the competition.Top Line:I hit up the Craft Q gang for lunch on a tip from a drive-by friend who notified me of their Sunday location at the corner of Paseo del Norte & Unser on the west mesa. The posted menu indicated I could save a couple bucks with their brisket sandwich combo plate, as opposed to getting the three items I wanted (1/4 lb of brisket sammie, BBQ beans, cole slaw) ala carte. Total was $18 for the three items. That's a few bucks more than I've usually found similar BBQ around town, so the value ratio runs a bit thin. However, the quality of the food from Craft Q is pretty high. The brisket was very beautifully smoked, with a pronounced smoke ring and a lot of smoky punch on the flavor front. Brisket texture was middle of the road, which ain't a bad place to be. It was certainly tender enough, though not literally fall apart tender as brisket can get when the connective tissue is completely gelatinized. To me its moistness was also in the middle range of the pack, neither too much nor too little. It was not one of those sandwiches that drool down to your elbow. Nor was it a dried out leathery hunk o' cow you could chew into next week. The meat interior had sufficient juiciness, but the outer bark tended to the crunchy side, stopping just short of being over done. The pile of chopped white onion & pickle slices on the sandwich were generous in portion and punchy on flavor. They did not however overwhelm the taste of the scrumptious meat, but filled their supplementary role with competent flair.BBQ sauce was to my tongue just a hint sweet and leaning decidedly in the direction of delightfully spicy heat. Smoke note rang in with moderation, but you definitely know it's there in the mix.I found the beans to be well up to standing beside the flavorful meat. Rather pronounced meaty taste in the sauce, as well as scraps of BBQ'ed & ground meat. A noticable layer of oil or melted meat fat floated on top of the sauce. Some folks might object to the texture of it, but I do not since meat fat is where the flavor lives. The sauce taste was rich & packed with umami notes dancing around on the tongue. A fair bit of complexity to it. The beans themselves were cooked just right in terms of texture, plumpness, & toothiness. The beans had a nice spicy hit of heat on them to warm you up.Cole slaw was definitely the bench sitter on this team compared to the forcefulness of the sandwich and bean flavors that were swingin' for the fences. Taste was pretty neutral even as cole slaw goes. A shade of sweetness was about the only taste that came through. Texture was crunchy, but not the crispy snap that is sometimes found in cole slaw.I intend to continue to visit the Craft Q folks on the weekends when they are in close proximity to my winter quarters so I can try out more of their menu items. I think their quality easily justifies it. But I will do so with the realization that their very tasty fare flies toward the top of the price window.

Our tour-o-breweries should NOT have included this location. We were so bummed because all the information I saw prior to the visit, had us excited to see the place. It was pretty run down on the outside. It appeared to have been a fun hangout spot once upon a time. Although busy, the outdoor area was neglected and void of patrons. We were seated and given a beer menu. There were a couple beers from their own brewery but the rest were other locations. The couple of beers we had weren't bad. They have no pint glasses for purchase, and our waitress didn't offer any other items we could buy. Service for two beers was lengthy and the overall experience is not one I care to have again. They really need an overhaul or just tear down and start over.

Had a lovely evening here. Our party of 2 got seated right away since we weren't needing a teppan table. We ordered the vegetable tempura appetizer, an avocado roll, a green chile roll, two pints of Japanese beer, and a couple inari to close out..Service was great. We were pretty undecisive but our server was very patient and came back often to check on us. A lot of the asian restaurants only have Japanese beer in bottles, so it was fun to be able to get a pint.Everything was really tasty, but what impressed me most was the green chile and the avocado. In both the appetizer and the roll, the green chile tasted like pure green chile aroma. So often green chile is bland, but this was amazing. Not very hot but a wonderful flavor. And then the avocado also really tasted like avocado, even with soy sauce and wasabi and ginger. If I could change anything, I would include an interesting/special vegetarian roll, rather than just the standard set. They also don't have oshinko or kampyo options. It's definitely a bit more geared to the Albuquerque crowd. Also, we enjoyed the ambiance and felt like it was pretty COVID-safe due to the high ceilings and the HVAC needed to have all those teppan tables and bbq/hot pot options. However, it would be too loud to take older relatives. Still, we'll definitely be back!

"I'm going to start off by saying I had never eaten in, only ordered delivery and those times were amazing. Yes the temp cools but the meats were juicy and flavorful still. Then I got to go with my friend and we got the 5 meat sampler each. Still ended up with too much food and AMAZING leftovers. The coleslaw needs just a little something, maybe onions and celery seed but good. Okra was great. Beef rib, pork rib (overdone but they quickly replaced it with a perfect 1/4 rack) turkey and sausage. Now that I look back I didn't get the pulled pork it was supposed to have but that's ok I think they subbed it out for brisket. I should have asked for the fattier cut because that's my preference over the lean. Great servers very helpful and a tasty marg! Love the decor here and on better weather days the view will be phenomenal"
"First off Tin Can Alley is such a fun spot! So much is offered in such a compact space. We checked out the offerings before coming and the menu at SA was calling us. Beckoning us to come in and fill our cravings of bbq and things spicy and cheesy. The Duke City Nachos offered Fresh Corn Tortilla Chips, Queso, Green Chile, House Crema, Chives, Fresh Jalapeño, Cilantro. We added chicken and the chips were fresh and perfectly crispy crunchy as tortilla chips should be. Just when I thought the green Chile had kicked my tastebuds into fire mode, I bit into one of the many raw jalapeños and hit a new sensation of inferno on my tongue. Don't get me wrong, they were very delicious and the crema was a nice cooling touch. I probably should have asked for more crema to cool the demons dancing in the back of my throat. The Pulled Pork Slider plate with coleslaw was just what I was hoping for. In the world of sliders nothing beats the pulled pork slider and the plate at SA BBQ was great. I love that they were served with Kings Hawaiian rolls. The sweetness from the rolls also killed some of the heat from the nachos. I HIGHLY recommend the Green Chile Mac and Queso! The punch of green chile and the cheesiness of the Mac was very satisfying."
"Ribs are delicious prices are very fair and two sides of your choice perfect very fresh l will be back Thanks to Mrs Rita any mistake fix it l am so great full for her staff"
"I was not fortunate enough to have visited Vic's Vittles when they were doing their infamous breakfast buffet, but their breakfast still hit the spot for me! Their menu, is jam packed so be prepared to look! They have some fun menu items like the tamale omelet smothered in chile! I've only visited during breakfast and would like to try lunch. Although they do have a porkchop breakfast plate that is perfect when you need more than the typical breakfast meats. The porkchop is really lightly breaded and fried too. It has just the right amount of crunch! Be prepared to leave, full."
"We ordered the ribs to go. These ribs are absolutely one of a kind, fantastic. I would recommend going many miles to find this food truck."
"Spotted Big John's RV this week and after seeing the reviews on Yelp I decided to give him a try. Buying BBQ from this RV food truck was excitement in itself. I love cool street vendor concepts! Big John and his family who were there with him this weekend were just great. Very personable and kind. I ordered the brisket and loved it. It does come with sauce, which I really enjoyed, but you could get it without I bet. The plate was $10 with beans, potato salad and bread. Worth every penny for the food and experience! I hope to return soon! Go give this guy your lunch money!!"
"Met some dear friends here on a Saturday night and really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. A Rib Plate, a bison burger, a hamburger were ordered by my companions, all had rave reviews. I picked the harvest salad with grilled salmon added on top. The serving of salmon was ample and cooked perfectly. The salad had roasted beets, almonds, asparagus, over mixed greens with a house vinaigrette. Delicious and flavorful. I'm coming back to enjoy that salad again.Since we were old friends catching up after 20+ years, our waitress was just the right amount of attentive. Cowgirls is the perfect little spot in Santa Fe for great food, lively conversation, and live music."
"The best pulled pork sandwich in all of New MexicoTwo weeks ago, on the way to Taos, NM. My husband and I finally stopped by Sugars BBQ, located in Embudo, NM.This little burger joint is off the high way at CR-68 Rd Mile Marker 18, East Side of the Highway. Make sure you slow down; I almost passed it. Sugars has been around for 20 years, serving up some of the best burgers and bbq sandwiches. The staff was very friendly (shout out to Jesse and Josephine). My food order did not take very long. The weather was so beautiful that day. I walked my pup around the property. They also have around ten picnic tables outside for you to enjoy your food. I got a bbq pork sandwich. It was perfect from the sauce to all the extra meat falling out. I also ordered the curly fries ( you can never go wrong with curly fries). This meal was an absolute treat. A little messy, but so worth it. I highly recommend it. It is so worth the drive if you are not from the area.I will definitely be returning, and when I do, I'm going for the Sugar Daddy! Fun fact- Sugars is named after the owners, Pitbull. They have a picture of him right underneath the menu."
"Outstanding service--prompt and very friendly. I had the chile rellenos with green chili (you could order green, red, or Christmas) and they were outstanding--delicious, not overly battered and very cheesy. The manager or owner was going table to table talking with locals, which is always a great sign."
"The ribs had a good taste and very tender. The turkey was very dry. Both meats were barely warm. They have a good variety specialties. The service was the most challenging. After watching a hand full of employees do nothing, a lead person finally informed us we had to wait at the unlabeled order window. Apparently, you place your order with the one cutter that asks you 4 times what you ordered, instead of writing it down. Then you go down the line where you are asked over and over again if you want sides. Then you are asked a few times if you want any other add ons. There was a lead person, who would actually slow the process with his intervention. I believe they were challenged keeping up regular orders while putting a large party order together. The space is clean and welcoming but not very much decor. Service training is definitely needed. The owner is very friendly!"
"CALL TO ORDER! They no longer paeticipate in delivery services and isnt blame them because the services increase prices and take too big a perventage from the business. SO CALL! Thay are SO WORTH IT!My fried chicken livers were ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I salted them tomy liking and they were delicious. I'm enbarrassed to say that i ate the order, which is very large, in one sitting. Oh my! Tastes like home! Please, keep this friendly family business operating. My partner had an order of ribs. His serving fed him two times (and i still got a couple of ribs)Great food. Great service. Items ypu can't get anywhere else."
"The best luau catering food in town!I am on the social committee for my school and we had a retirement and end of the year luau at one of our staff member's homes. We wanted to cater Hawaiian food and by chance I saw this place on Yelp. My friend that was holding the party is actually from Hawaii so I knew the catering had to be spot on. I had never eaten here but I thought... what the heck! The pricing seemed reasonable and when I called, the person I asked questions to (Janay- though I forget how to spell it) was so kind and patient. I decided to go with this company for food and holy moly it did not disappoint. We ordered two meat trays (Huli huli chicken and kalua pork) and the meat was moist and delicious! Sooooo good. The pork came with a sweet bbq sauce that was outrageously good and the huli huli chicken was also a favorite. We also ordered two trays of macaroni salad and it was perfectly done. They used just the right amount of mayo. Even my friend from highly impressed!I got so many compliments on the food. I am so glad I decided to order from here. I will definitely be back and highly recommend for your party and luau needs!! Cheers!"
"Been to Duke City BBQ about 4 times now. I have left happy and full each time!! The menu is short and sweet which I love. You can make it a sandwich, or a combo, get it on a baked potato or a bowl over rice. I partake in the combo myself. The sides are tasty as well. The mac' n cheese hits and the baked beans are filled with bonus pieces of pork! Tell me about the other sides if you have had them, I just find myself rotating between those two. The brisket is my go to selection for meat. I typically accompany my meal with a Torpedo, which I highly recommend. If you like jalapeno poppers, you must at least try one. It is a jumbo jalapeno stuffed to the brim with pulled pork and cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon. Honestly I feel like it could be a light meal on it's own. If you are looking for a new place get some bbq, check them out."
"We came here the day after Valentine's Day to celebrate that and our anniversary. It was very busy but the hostess said the wait was 15 minutes. We ended up waiting an hour. The waiting room was small and crowded and no seats available. When we got to be seated I saw there were so many empty tables that could have been filled. I understand that they were understaffed but they should be more prepared for a Saturday night. Peggy our server was amazing and super nice. The food was great too. This was our first time here so we did leave happy, and full. We will come back only if a reservation can be made. (It said no reservations when we went on the website)"
"I'm vegetarian do I didn't get to try the smoked meats. But, the pizza is excellent. What I loved the most is the root beer float. Tons of soft serve and locally brewed root beer.... Yum! Definitely a treat of small American town!"
"I've ordered from here a few times, kind of wish they would expand their menu a bit. Excellent food and I love those red chile chips, frito pie is also amazing."
"Chili Hills MORIARITY. Went there for the first time on a Friday evening. Chips and queso for the appetizer. Very good and I bet they make those chips in-house. Had the crispy taco plate of three with shredded beef (beef sourced in NM per the server). Rice was great, beans were great, and the tacos were crispy, awesome and meat was very flavorful. Servers were pleasant and prompt. Ambience was fine - it's a diner!"
"We really, really enjoyed this new family owned BBQ joint! First of all, the food is amazing! So is the service! If you are extra, extra lucky, the little girl will be there to brighten your day with the sweetest little smiles! My husband tried the brisket sliders, chile sausage, and the chile sausage sliders. So the chile sausage has ground up red chile inside of it and it was incredible! My husband is THE BBQ hound and he was obsessed. He loved the sauce, the meat, the bread, and the cole slaw (which you can get on the side if you don't want it on the sliders). Now, you CAN buy the meat by the pound if you ask for it - it just isn't listed on the menu!"
"So this is best bbq I have found in Albuquerque, so far. Out on a Friday afternoon and I noticed their food truck at a local brewery. I asked the hubby if he wanted to give them a try, so we did. I think their bbq pricing is great, because bbq can run kind of high. We ordered a pound of brisket, ribs, and pulled pork- came out to $34 bucks #winning. After about a 10 minute wait, my buzzer went off letting me know to head back to the truck to grab our food. Let me start with the brisket, I believe that is the favorite item we ordered, hands down. The brisket was really good with some great bbq sauce on top of it. The ribs were not bad but I think a better bbq sauce would bring the flavor out on them. Thee meat on the ribs also wasn't just easily coming off the bone, which we normally prefer. Last we tried the pulled pork. The pulled pork was my least favorite but that was because there was mustard sauce poured on top, which we did not care for--next time I'll have to ask them to hold the mustard. I do want to give this food truck another try, especially now that I know what to order, and I know what sauces to have and not to have."
"Amazing! Great spot to get the best food and pies. Planning a trip back for Pie festival in September. Every person in the place was welcoming and joyful. Absolutely loved it."
"The best chicken pot pie ever! They also have delicious pie all homemade. The waitress was so friendly and attentive."
"Passed through Cuba on our way from Albuquerque to SLC - doubtful we'll be back that way, which is too bad since I had perhaps the best fast food burger of my life at Mel's! I know they're a chicken restaurant, but I was in the mood for beef so I got the jalapeno burger. SO FREAKIN' GOOD. Larger than most fast food burgers (meaning, wider, not taller). The bun was fresh, the lettuce and tomato were fresh and tasty -- the meat was cooked through but was so tender and wonderfully seasoned! YUM YUM YUM.I won't dock them a star for it, but the lock on the bathroom was broken -- I was traveling with somebody so they were able to guard the door for me, but hopefully that lock will be fixed soon. Otherwise a great experience at Mel's."
"Stopped at the Food Truck on Saturday afternoon, Unser and Paradise. We had pork tacos and a pork sandwich. They were excellent! Pork has a great flavor. BBQ sauce is little sweet, but the salsa is good. We will definitely stop by when we see their truck again!"
