"We have used all tech five or six times over the past 10 or 15 years. Gene has always been our service tech. We have always been very pleased by the quick response and repair time. Gene has always been pleasant, efficient, and at times has gone beyond the necessary repair. If the need were to arise, we would not hesitate to use them again and request Gene as our tech."
"I had pretty much the worst experience ever buying a washer and dryer from Edith Appliance. It kind of kills me to write this review because this locally owned business is exactly the kind of place I want to give my money to. When I first came in I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. James was helpful and super cool. When the set was delivered and installed it wasn't hooked up all the way and started leaking. We thought something was going on with the plumbing and the building manager sent the plumber. That was expensive (for the building, luckily not me) but the plumber was able to locate the problem and tightened the washer's connection. After that there was more leaking and it turns out the hose was full of holes. The shocks broke too. The washing machine was unfixable so they sent me another. In total there were 5 washing machines that were sent and all broke with in 1 or 2 washes. And it's not like I was washing sneakers or huge loads. It's just little old me washing a not quite full load from the week. There were 2 dryers, both worked for about 1 load then started blowing cold air. The 2nd dryer was covered with dust inside. Good thing I checked before I threw all my clean clothes in there. There was one washing machine that did work. It was supposed to be a place holder while my machine was either getting fixed or a new one of comparable value could be sent over. The place holder washing machine was of significantly lesser quality than the one I bought. I didn't hear from Edit Appliance for a couple weeks and had to call and insist they send me something comparable to what I paid for.In dealing with Edith Appliance there were many times I was told my machines were going to be delivered or picked up and no one came. When I called to find out what was going on there was no apology, only "we were busy." Many times my calls weren't returned and so I'd have to go to the shop to find out what was going on. On one occasion I spoke to the owner Dominic and he told me I was "pushy". Well, when you pay $350 dollars for something and you get one broken item after another for several month, no one calls you back or shows up when they say they're going to, I guess I expect to know what's going on. So sorry to be "pushy".Right before my 100 day warranty was about to expire I was put off for a couple weeks. Finally James said he was going to send someone out and surprise, he didn't. I called and was told they were busy and had a pick up scheduled for the next day. The next day no one came and he lied and said we did not schedule a pick up. When I repeated our conversation he said they didn't have a delivery vehicle, which is funny that he would schedule a pick up if there was no delivery vehicle. He then said they actually did have a delivery vehicle and that it was the driver's personal truck. In addition, as the end of the warranty approached I was told that it was probably something in my apartment that was causing problems. In order to cooperate, I got handymen to come in and check the dryer vent and the electric outlets. Everything was fine. Again, if the building I live in hadn't taken care of this it would've meant more expense out of pocket.I finally showed up one more time and spoke to Anna. She was awesome. She apologized for the trouble and promised to work it out. I spoke to her on the phone later that day and she had a completely different story. Now I was expected to pay $45 for them to pick up my washer and dryer to have them fixed. So, for 100 days I get 4 washers and 2 dryers that are so damaged leaving the shop that they can't be fixed and 1 washer that is significantly lower in quality than what I paid for and then they expect me to start giving them money. I might have even considered doing so if nothing but broken equipment hadn't been sent to me and if I hadn't been put off so many times. What a horrible mistake it was going to Edith Appliance. So what to do? Take them to small claims court? Call the Better Business Bureau? That's a lot of extra work for me although totally worth it if others are spared the same experience I had. What a shame. Refurbishing appliances is a wonderful idea for a business. I would have been so happy to recommend these guys to everyone I know."
"I can't speak for their service, but this review is for their character. We had a problem with our clothes dryer and reached out through Yelp. Through messaging, one of their technicians diagnosed our problem. Instead of making an easy sale to come out and tell me that they couldn't fix it, he directed me to a vendor who could actually fix our problem. I greatly appreciate their expertise to diagnose my novice understanding of my problem, and their character to not take advantage of that naïveté. While I hope none of our appliances break, I do look forward to hiring them in the future."
"More or less, I'm happy with the service. They do charge an upfront fee. Had a wonky oven. Tech showed up and began work. Then something happened that I won't go into detail, but it was quite unacceptable (not criminal just....ick). He did fix my oven, and it still works which was a relief since I wasn't in the mood to price out new stoves/ovens, have a delivery/hookup issue (and there is ALWAYS an issue with a new purchases/delivery). After the service, I sent the manager an email detailing the "issue" and was cleared of any further charges. So, I will say, despite the unpleasant experience with the technician, the service worked for me and the owner's resolution to my experience/issue was acceptable."
"Well, I found the perfect place for sewing machine repair and tune up. Affordable took care of my sewing machine and did so in a timely manner. Staff were great. The transaction was flawless. Pricing was great. Parking was right outside the door. They also take care of vacuums."
"Scammers for sure, had an issue with a dishwasher older model wasn't getting water so I bought a new control board from manufacturer for $18.00 shipped to my door, installed the 1 plug it takes (can't mess it up) i had called so they can check the water, he went to the house turned it on and said it was getting water and it's still not.. i wasn't home so who knows what he even actually did. these people wanted to charge $350.00 for control board and soap dispenser plus $100.00 to go to my house for 7-10 minutes he was there. Who in their right mind would pay $450.00 to fix an old dishwasher? $300 bucks brand new at Lowe's or Home Depot.. maybe he seen my wife and my elder landlord and tried to make a quick buck.. don't use these people they'll just try and take advantage of you."
"Our very expensive Whirlpool refrigerator stopped running on Sunday. We called on Sunday, they answered and came out first thing Monday morning. Steve was very familiar with Whirlpool and was able to explain exactly what had happened. We were able to plug it back in immediately. He charged us only for a service call. I am saving his card for future needs."
"My husband was looking for someone to rebuild a thermal fan for our older furnace. The new one he had bought didn't have the same style wiring as the old one and we knew the old one worked. The guys here didn't charge us to rebuild the old one, but shared with my husband how to properly wire the new one we had bought. Since they wouldn't take our money, I'm writing this review to say thank you so much and Id highly recommend this shop for their professionalism and honesty."
"Best appliance repair in town. Very honest, these guys will take care of you. I had my water/ice maker repaired on my GE Monogram, best repair experience I have ever had."
"I went in afraid of getting very bad news....on Christmas Eve, Eve. BUT...I was reassured by the most wonderful young man. It's all good and he didn't charge me a penny! If I ever have a big machine problem, I know where to go and I will refer this awesome place to everyone!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! And I wish you a very Merry Christmas, you certainly made mine very special. Thank you L.I. Meredith"

I don't even know where to begin. Well I'll just say DO NOT! Use this company they don't know what there doing and will give you an invoice with no dollar amount and you won't find out how much they charged for there terrible work until it's taken out of your account.we had one worker come out and look at three units charged $800 and didn't fix anything.we complained one of the owners came a tried to fix one of our reach ins and just cam e a cut all the connecting tins and wires. So we had another repairman come and he fixed it in 30 minutes and asked who the hell worked on this before him and said don't hire those guys again.

No show to the first appt. They came out to fix the issue one day. Within 3 months the problem was back. Cannot get a hold of them to come back out and readdress. I would definitely go with someone else.

I've used Ortegas a few times for different repairs and have always been pleased - I believe their repairmen are honest and they have always taken the time to explain routine care and answer any questions I have. The office staff is also very nice

First of all I want to thank others who have left reviews for this business because it led me to them.Last week I brought in a 20-year-old Dyson vacuum cleaner that was not doing a good job at all of picking up cat hair. I had a little hope for this machine and was almost ready to buy a new one but I thought I would give this business an opportunity to see if they could get the machine working better. Good call. Save me several hundred dollars to be honest. I called and spoke with a very generous woman who answered all of my questions and gave me an initial quote for the base service which was $59.95. I was told it might take a week to get the machine back and it actually took a little bit less than that.I just picked up the vacuum and it looks brand new. Since this Dyson is 20 years old and parts are no longer available through dyson, the repair person sourced two parts from another used vacuum by Dyson and install those parts for me at a very reasonable cost and at no additional repair cost.Bottom line for roughly $90 I have an almost new Dyson that is clean runs expertly and has a new used cord and another part that was missing off the machine.I am so grateful that this business lives up to its name affordable. Please don't hesitate to use their services or recommend them to anyone you know who might be in need of vacuum or sewing machine repairs

BEWARE - I had Hugo's Appliance Repair out to check on my fridge and a leak about a month ago. After paying my $70 service fee, the tech didn't move the fridge, check anything, etc. and while pleasant enough, I was like, that was a waste of my time and money. Well, flash forward to last night, when cleaning I noticed the leak again (which spread and went behind the cutout in the wall, and snuck in an inch of space along the baseboard that didn't have caulk on it, effectively ruining my transition strip between rooms and causing warping on few boards of wood flooring in my living room. So I called them this morning to take advantage of my service visit warranty (30 days), explaining the leak was still there and caused damage, and I wanted them to check it and fix it, damage aside. After arguing with the receptionist about paying another service fee to get it checked out, and explaining what happened, she gets Hugo himself to come. I send him a video of what happened, he says, that's no problem, I'll come look at it myself this afternoon for no extra service charge and we'll see what we need to do to fix it. The fridge is already out, and he spends most of the time he's here texting with his team for an estimate for the water line fix. $270!!!! For something that costs $10 at Home Depot! So I tell him nah, I don't need ice that much, as long as the water got turned off, no need for anything else, thank you for coming out tho. All pleasant up to this point. He moves the fridge back and COMPLETELY RIPS MY FLOORING. I start freaking out and say oh my god, my floor is totally ripped!! And he ignored I said anything, finished his paperwork, and says, anything else before we head out? I'm standing there dumbfounded, and say well, what are you going to do for me because you just ripped a huge section of my floor, im gonna have to redo all the flooring in my kitchen! He says, I came to do what I needed to do, i did it, and now im leaving. I'm like, you're seriously not going to do anything for me considering now I have a huge expense? Nope, he says. Refused to even refund me my $70 service fee. We argue. So I start yelling at him to get the **** out of my house then, and I'm gonna blast him on review sites, report him to the BBB etc. and he straight up walks out. I come out after him and I'm like I seriously can't believe you're not even gonna give me my $70 back. He goes to his truck, gets the $70 and literally THROWS it at me. Says a lot about his character and how he runs his business.Moral of the story: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REPAIR!!!

Do not use these people. They "forgot" about my first appointment, they were 30 minutes late to the next appointment and then showed up totally unprepared. The repair man needed to "borrow" my shop vacuum and a small wire brush. Aren't these things suppose to be in their repair bag? They miss diagnosed my refrigerator and cashed my $256 check. My husband called them 4 times and because my husband has an out of state phone number they didn't pick up or call him back but told him "I don't answer like no distance numbers, you need to get a local phone number". Overall, one of the worst repair companies I've worked with. Pass on them.

What a great bunch of people. I took some hot tub engines in to be rebuilt and at the end of the day it turned out to be cheaper for me to buy new ones . They were honest and above board and kept me informed. I could not be happier, real old time service. An Albuquerque gem.

"I have been really impressed with the service at Bob's. Between home and work, we have a fleet of 4 Dysons. Some were bought new and others were bought from Bob's refurbished. I've been very pleased with each machine- noted Dyson is the only brand I'm buying or getting serviced there. Kelly is great, personable and attentive. Anything I need, he is on it. I found their prices to be very reasonable as well- I found my local spot and I'm staying put! Thanks everyone's Bobs!"
"I was charged $540 for dryer repair and they never came back. Said they had to order parts and I waited a long time and finally had to call someone else for repair. When I desputed the charge the manager called me and called me a foul name. I couldn't get the money refunded and so I lost the money.I won't ever use this company."
"Ryan's is my go to quilt store. They are always very helpful no matter what your question or need is. They care about taking care of all of their customers. Everyone who enters their store is immediately helped and they make you feel at home. I love Ryan and Diane very much. When you ask for help they drop everything to help. I know they have 10,000 other things to work on, but they take whatever time is necessary to help. I can't say enough about this business. Customer service is number 1."
"I would give them less than a one star if I could. There professionalism is horrible. If you are a business owner don't even try them. You can't count on them. As a restaurant owner when something goes down it is important that it is addressed immediately. No sense of urgency. They are rude and unprofessional."
"Call talked to Ed. Gave Singer model #, need power/foot control cord. Had two based on Told him I was on my way on the motorcycle take me 30 min..I probably gave the worse description but he figured it out.Got there he had the perfect Cord for me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE by Ed. I will be back."
"We had a refrigerator that stopped working, and decided rather than have the business we bought our new one from take it we would donate it. We found Albuquerque Appliance Training online, and asked them to come and take the fridge. Andre Chacon, the owner, came over, fussed around with the fridge, and told us he could fix it. Within 24 hours we had the functional fridge back and saved $2,400, along with a 6-month guarantee on the work. He works on all appliances, and were very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to listen to us. If you need appliance help we urge you to consider AAT."
"I would rate this company less than 1 star if possible. Showed up an hour and a half late for the scheduled appointment. Did not call to let me know that they would be late. Upon late arrival, they told me that the cost would be higher than the cost quoted to me over the phone. I had sent a photo of the broken part and a photo of the sticker that included the model and serial numbers prior to receiving the initial quote, over 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Plenty of time to notify me of price and scheduling changes. Poor customer service, made excuses, took no responsibility, rude. It was easy to find a professional company to promptly complete the work for less money. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!"
"So far, so good! We needed a washing machine sooner than later, went to MSC, found a great Kenmore unit! Scheduled delivery & install, the delivery person was careful with the washing machine, which was nice too. Install went fine, needed a follow up visit, and their technician came out, checked the mechanical system of the washing and was able to correct the issue!"
"Guess what! Yep had to call these guys out for service once again.10 year old insert, wear and tear...you know the drill. Once again, they did not disappoint. Had the problem diagnosed and fixed!"
"I bought a dryer from them about 4 or 5 yrs ago and it just died! Thats a longtime for a used dryer I WOULD THINK!"
"Left a message on Sunday afternoon and Mr. Ed himself was out the next morning. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything along with the cost before proceeding. Quick, thorough and not painful on the old wallet. Will definitely recommend Mr. Ed's to anyone that asks."
"Work was professional. Did have to reschedule several times due to not having parts on hand for unexpected additional repairs found."
"When my Dyson vacuum started acting up, I looked to Yelp for a repair shop. The first one that popped up had horrible reviews so I steered clear of them. At Home Services had NO reviews so I was hesitant, but really needed my vacuum. I felt better knowing they are an authorized Dyson service center. This place is AWESOME! It's a one-man shop that looks like it's been around for a long time. When I first walked in, there was another customer getting her sewing machine repaired. She said she'd driven from Alamogordo because there's no one as good as At Home Services in her area. That made me feel even better about my choice. The gentleman who helped me (I can only assume he's the owner because I never saw anyone else there) was quiet but as nice as could be. He charged me $39.95 to service my vacuum, which I thought was really reasonable. He also had it back to me in 3 days. I will keep this place in mind next time I need a small appliance repaired, for sure."
"If you need an appliance repaired Sarah's is the business to contact. The friendly services begins when you call to schedule your appointment through your in home visit from the technician. The entire staff is polite and knowledgeable. I have been using Sarah's for years and will always recommend them. I have had Sarah herself to my home and two of her technicians for separate issues. Most recently Thomas did our dryer vent cleaning and serviced our oven. Both of these appliances are nearly 20 years old and working like rock stars. Jason came out and worked on our ice maker and saved me from hot beverages. Thanks to everyone from the office staff who were not only friendly but accommodating during our isolation. The technicians with both courteous and professional."
"According to the Google overlords, usage of the term "liquidate" is in serious decline; since peaking around 1950, we've been dropping the word from our lexicon like a bad habit. I'm going to guess this has something to do with all of the smarmy salesmen who, over the years, have used the term as a ploy to rip off the general public. "We're liquidating our inventory with INSANE prices" or "Check out Auto Liquidators for no hassle, no credit, no problem vehicles today." You know the type. To say I'm wary of a business that titles itself a Liquidator is a big understatement.Ten years ago I visited Appliance Liquidators because my realtor, who sold me a rather shoddy house, told me to buy my new refrigerator there. I did. It was a Frigidaire that ran for ten years, and I was happy with it, but over the years it cracked and broke from the inside -- shelves and whatever. This weekend I replaced it, and I purchased a clothes dryer, to boot, and I think it says a lot that I chose to come back. Are the prices the lowest in town? Doubtful. But the service is no-nonsense, and the frills -- delivery and installation -- are definitely affordable. This time around I worked with Kenny, homeboy was anti-salesman, just like, "Hey, if you just need a simple dryer, go with this one, it's our best deal." And the guys who removed my old junk and brought the newbies -- from Builders Source on Menaul -- were absolutely terrific. In fact, I'm feeling inspired to review that company, as well. Thanks for not acting like Liquidators, AP."
"Crown came out and replaced the main-board on my Mitsubishi WD-73837 DLP Big Screen TV, and that totally fixed my TV. Since it came out of the box it had trouble finding HDMI devices and would show no picture when plugged into my 3d kit module. They also picked up my Pioneer VSX-1020, while he was at my house, because it was shutting off and the HDMI's were not working, and fixed it under warranty. They are 100 miles away from me and they dropped off my receiver to my house 2 days after it was fixed (Firm Ware update was all she needed). Thanks for going out of your way for me! You guys will get all my electronic service work and I will refer everyone I know to Crown Electronics!"
