Burger 21 - Albuquerque

UPDATE 3/1/2025: Went in person to dine in. Portions are big and everything is cooked to order how you like it. My daughter ordered the cheesy burger combo and they asked how she wanted it - medium, well done, etc. How many burger places do that?! Same great food and there was plenty of seating available even though they were busy. My new favorite burger place!! Thank you for processing the refund.2/25/2025: Ordered online for pickup. Order was promptly completed on time and customer service was awesome!! Only drawback was they were out of brookies (brownie/cookie dough dessert) and there was no manager on duty to complete a refund until the next day. Tried calling but there was no answer and unable to leave a voicemail.

The burgers were greasy and undercooked, the fries were stale and undercooked, the extra toppings were scraped on as thinly as possible, and we were given an apparently random assortment of sauces instead of the ones we asked for. The food tasted like cafeteria food but at twice the price. I used to really like this place but stopped going there as much as the quality declined. I decided to give it another chance but this was honestly bad enough to not only prevent me from going, but for me to warn other people off. We ordered through the app Oct 17 around 6:20. If you're going to spend the kind of money they charge on burgers I suggest going somewhere else.

We ordered ahead of time went to pick up our food and the order was completely wrong. The cashier wasn't even apologetic about it and then got upset that we wanted to cancel the order. We didn't have time to wait for the order to be remade hence why we called ahead for pick up. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Super basic burgers and fries for crazy prices. $10 for a burger alone and $16 for a combo? Unfortunately the burger did not stand out for me. I had a #3 bacon cheesy and added avocado. While it was very fresh and cooked well, it lacked flavor and was comparable to a fast food burger. The shake machine wasn't working which was also disappointing. I don't recommend.

Great burger! Freshly made, lots of sauce options, the lady behind the counter was working so hard and she was so sweet! I hope next time I'm in town for work I will see her again! :)

I had the Cinco burger and it was fantastic. The meat was done medium well, the guacamole and jalapeños placed with care, and the service was friendly and quick.

I used to love coming here all the time before the pandemic happened because of their amazingly swift staff and great burgers. I also can't forget to mention all of their sauce options! We came here for dinner and there were a couple of people ahead of us in line and it didn't take too long for them to get to us. I usually order the Cinco, which is one of the best burgers I've had. This time I got their special, Fried Pickle Burger, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I asked for avocado slices, medium-well temp burger, and no cheese and I only got one of those things. The burger was burned and charred and their was no avocado. We shared a basket of half and half fries and they were a little overdone and cold by the time we got them. The sauces are great still and helped save the day, but I don't know if that's enough to come back here again. Lastly, the place was just dirty. The bathrooms could use a deep clean and the trash area was gross and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. They were pretty slowed and it looked like they had plenty of workers so it doesn't seem like a staffing issue, which would've been more understandable. All in all, decent burger and fries with amazing seances.

The food was good, not great. Especially for the price that was paid.. I've had better burgers for less. There were CHUNKS of jalapeños in my burger that were not fully sliced. I had to pull apart the "sliced" jalapeño and spread them out through my burger myself.. the onion strings tasted burnt and salty :/ As soon as I walked in I noticed the many many dirty tables and the little bits of trash and food all over the floor.The lady at the register was short and dry. I felt rushed to place my order and being that it was my first time being here, it was uncomfortable honestly. Overall it was okay, mediocre at best.

No one else eating here. Should have been telling. It did have 3.5 stars so gave it a try. Meh... Was okay. Not great. Surely not worth the price. Ordered to go. Got a patty melt and it says comes on rye- it did not. And the fries did not taste fresh. At all. Would not go back. There is a reason the other restaurants are busy and this place is not. I think for the price and quality of this I would rather have gone for a Freddy's burger and fries. Place did look clean. But again- no one in the place to get it dirty ....
