Broadstone Ladera

I moved in, and by God I wish I never did. They don't fix anything on time, they installed the linoleum floors wrong, there was residual fecal matter on the floor of the restroom, bugs everywhere, a bad water heater, the disposal didn't work it took a month and me coming in disputing the rent to get anything fixed.

PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE MOVING IN!! This was the worst experience & don't let them use the fact that their under "new management" be an excuse cause they aren't worth two pennies either!! Let me explain to you my families experience as long as others within the establishment. The PEAKING point for us was when we had rain storms this summer. It flooded from outside all the way to inside the apartment, multiple times causing MOLD damage! Not just our apartment but MANY!!! Carpets were destroyed, sheet rock inbetween walls allowing water to coming through! Legal action was almost taken!! It was so BAD MY FAMILY MOVED OUT TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE LEASE WAS OVER!!! Losing out on thousands just to be in a better living situating for our kids & ourselves! ASIDE FROM ALL THAT we witnessed multiple police raids, cars being towed with no notice, strangers digging in dumpsters! Once you sign your lease you're signing a contract sent from the devil! The people in the office COULD Care less about your problems cause they DO NOTHING BUT REFER YOU TO THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED!!! I don't even blame maintance because the place is so horrible they can only do so much themselves!! HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!

This is probably not the place for this, but I am desperate.In March, my apartment complex, Broadstone Ladera, started removing the roof of my building in order to replace it. Shortly after, we got 5 inches of snow, which began our leaky roof troubles. I have a ten foot crack in my bedroom ceiling. My other bedroom is streaked down all the walls. We have had no help. In order to replace the roof, they turned off AC in early June. We're two thirds through July.I have 3 fans running in my room right now. I work from home. I take a meeting and shed my clothes to climb into a tub. Except the day they also had the water shut off. That day I climbed in my chest freezer.I've begged for updates. I've threatened to withhold rent. I was told I can't because they're "actively working on it."I sleep as much as I can during the day and work as I can at night. Somebody, tell me what to do. I don't have the energy to fight because it's completely sapped by these living conditions.This is an actual hellscape. I have pets.

If your thinking about living here... don't. They charge for absolutely everything they can. No security to look after the apartment complex and or parking lot. My car gotten broken into and there was no help from them. When we first moved in our back sliding door was broken and would not lock and they finally came and fixed it after the 3rd week. They charge anywhere between 20-30$ for trash pick up and yes you have to pay that even tho you've been throwing your own trash every month. No one ever gets back to you when there is a issue you literally have to bug them for their assistance. Our "renovated" apartment is cheaply done you can tell they put very minimal effort in which sucks because we paid extra for a renovated space. please look at these reviews before you sign and lease here.

Literally the worst place I've ever lived in. They charge extra for just about anything they can. My roof leaked all throughout winter and destroyed furniture. It is now early June and I'm still without air. Ending my lease 6 months early.

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. If I could give less than a star I would. Me and my friend moved in with each other at the broadstone ladera apartments. We were so excited it looked like an amazing place to live. We did not know we would have to be dealing with things breaking every week and the uncontrollable bug problem we have. We have ants, cockroaches and so many spiders. We spray twice a week every week and nothing helps. On top of the bug problem my closet completely fell apart and landed on all my clothes and shoes. It ruined a lot of my expensive stuff. I have been trying to get my closet fixed for the last two weeks and have been calling the office everyday so it can get fix. It is so hard living the way I am living with having to dig for my clothes on the ground. Every time I call the office they keep telling me "we have no one to do repairs". It has been an on going problem living here with their so called "management" ... I will never be renting again from a Graystar residence. I hope you do not either unless you want to be pulling your hair out due to stress.

IF YOU'RE EVEN CONSIDERING MOVING INTO THESE APARTMENTS, THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO NOT MOVE HERE!! I would give it 0 stars if I could. Management literally does not care about anything or how you're living!! In the first month of living here, they've turned off our swamp coolers, which barely cool down the apartment as it is, due to "roofing renovations" that they said would only take two weeks but it's now been almost a MONTH so everyone has been SUFFERING in this 100 degree weather and now that it's been raining, THE CEILINGS IN EVERY ROOM OF MY APARTMENT ARE LEAKING SOOO MUCH!!! I come home to puddles of water all over my floors, the carpets AND MY BRAND NEW FURNITURE every. time. it rains. There's definitely gonna be mold after this because the carpets are SOAKED and MUSHY and the walls are LITERALLY peeling off from how soggy they are!! Supposedly I'm living in a "renovated" apartment but all they did was give it a horrible, clumpy and crusty paint job. THESE APARTMENTS ARE SO UGLY AND WORN OUT I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY CHARGE AS MUCH AS THEY DO FOR RENTING A PLACE HERE. I've called management MANY times to bring all of this to their attention and they DO NOT CARE. Planning on calling the city or inspections on them because nobody should be living like this -- maybe that'll force them to listen and address everyone's concerns.

If you're looking for a good place with management that actually cares about your well being and ensuring you are in save living conditions this is NOT the place to waste your money at. Grey star has taken over and since then the entire experience has been shit. Anytime you contact the office they only provide BS empathy and do nothing to actually fix your issues. They initiated repairs on our buildings roof (why they would do this in the winter blows my mind) it has snowed twice creating leaks all throughout our entire unit. The office's response was "we understand the inconvenience, at least you have renter's insurance if your personal items are damaged" Now my fiancé is 7 months pregnant, the smell and dirtiness of the water leaking, covering our floors was way too unhealthy for her to breathe in. We had to stay elsewhere for 2 weeks due to the fact that the office left the entire building in a condition with an unsecure ceiling. Pieces of the dry wall began falling, today a piece woke my fiancé up by hitting her in the head, the office is lucky it was only a small piece for now. We've reached out multiple times and the management can only say "we apologize for the inconvenience there are several buildings experiencing the same issue" Why they think they can raise rent up to $1,400-1,600 per unit when they're not even in live able conditions. This management doesn't care about you as people they only care for your money. We regret signing into another full year prior to knowing Gray Star was taking over. It's been 100% the worst experience in an apartment complex. Once our lease term is over we are never coming back. Do not waste your money here.

Because of the soon availability, my aunty puts down her deposit prior to seeing her apartments conditions. My aunts move in date arrives and the apartment isn't even ready. The room has dirty floors, dirty walls, eg, and the front and back doors locks are broken. Anyone could break in. It looked nothing like how the display room was, false advertisement!! When my aunty goes to speak to management about changing her mind on wanting to live here, Michelle got extremely hostile. They hardly had the translator available. My aunty was still confused on what the translator was saying. When I kindly called to clear the confusion and figure out a way to resolve this and get my aunties 300$ deposit back, Michelle immediately started screaming at me over the phone how she had already spoke to my aunty and she wasn't gonna help us anymore. After I kindly told her to act more professionally and respectfully towards her paying client she hung up on me. I drove myself over there since Michelle didn't want to talk on the phone, they kept my aunts money and threatened to charge her another 300$ due to "policy" I was forced to act nice to prevent them from continuing to steal her money. The two other older women that were there also acted rude and were not even approachable one of them told me first thing "we can already tell were not gonna have a good relationship". Michelle has no business working in this type of professional field. She has to be able to keep her cool under pressure, which she quickly lost. Save yourself time and money, don't come looking for a home here. There's other apartments close by that are more friendly and aren't falsely advertised. We want our money back and a hand written apology from Michelle on her inappropriate behavior towards me and my aunty.
