Brazilian Waxing Salon

I would agree with Monique V. I came in BBW to find that there were no holes in the wall/ceiling(?). The place was well decorated and clean. My waxing girl was very peppy and upbeat. She made me feel comfortable and was professional. My wax was quick yet thorough which is something I'm very particular about. My waxing girl used 2 waxes one for the outer area and a harder wax for the more sensitive spots. Which from my experience from being waxed at other salons is normal. I also liked how this boutique doesn't use heavy oils "to soothe" the skin like I've experienced at other salons just because I've had a bad reaction to them every time (but that is just a personal opinion). I would definitely give this place a go! I'll be back for another wax!

I got a Brazilian wax. I have a high pain tolerance and I've been getting waxed for over a decade but this was, by far, the most painful experience I have had. I actually said those exact words twice during but the waxer just kept going and talking like I didn't say anything. Didn't even acknowledge my comment. It's been an hour since she's finished and I still feel tender, which has never happened before.I just need whoever goes here to know that a wax does not need to be anywhere near as painful as her waxes are. It's as if she has never gotten a wax herself. Her technique is also off because I still have splotches of hair and it seems like some hair broke at my skin line instead of being taken from the root (basically I paid someone to give me ingrowns). I'm told that it's all in the wrist and she makes large sweeping arm motions which definitely makes the pain worse. Even just applying momentary pressure at the freshly waxed area would help with the pain but she doesn't do that either.Absolutely hated it. Will never go back.

Continues to be my favorite waxing place in ABQ for the last 3 years. It's a quick process as they are professional and well organized. Easy online scheduling. Great deals and they offer other services besides waxing, too. Also, recently renovated and taking COVID-19 precautions. All clients are required to wear masks.

I received a groupon for a brazilian, and although this isn't my normal waxing salon, it was closer to me, and thought it would be worth the visit. It was fairly easy to schedule, and there is a very affordable pre-pay option offered to you upon check out.That being said, this absolutely did not compare to the experience I am used to for this type of service. While the cerologist was very friendly, the experience was very rushed and mechanical. What I mean by that, is there was really no gentle approach...The quarters were ok, seemed a little run down. The positioning they ask you to do is awkward and uncomfortable. And again there is no finesse with the process. It wasn't the experience I was anticipating, and I likely won't be returning.

Not even one star is what my review. I was so excited to buy Groupon for a waxing procedure. I even bragged about it to friends. I tried to call and schedule an appointment but I did not get an answer. (Cell phone) I left a voicemail and asked her to give me a call back I was trying to see how soon she could make an appointment for me. I did not get a return call. I tried to schedule online but I did not get a confirmation. So 2 days later, I looked at my Groupon to see how long it would be valid for but it showed it was voided. I contacted the store and was informed I was a "no call no show." The owner was not going to honor the Groupon she insisted several times that a text message was sent. I kept telling her I did not get any notification or else I would've been there. If she had time to "void" a Groupon she could've called me to see if I was still coming since we never touched base. The appointment was at 2:15 and she voided the Groupon at 2:33. (I have documentation) I was not going to argue back with her. So I asked her one more time if she would honor the Groupon. She said flat out, "no! that I can contact Groupon for a refund." Which I will try to do. It's just ridiculous with everything that's going on in the world the last thing you want to be doing is fighting about money because the business doesn't wanna accommodate a client. It was a miscommunication.I was bringing her business. I am a business owner too. This is the time that we should support our local businesses in Albuquerque. Word of mouth is the best advertising than Groupon. All I would like now is to let other customers to be wary if you choose to be challenged with getting services done. Especially when they've already been paid for. This owner does not honor her obligations. Nor does she understand or care of the value the potential customer. Now I need to see if Groupon will return the funds. My resolution to this was to give her the opportunity to take back what she had done so angry. She declined to do the right thing.

Waxing is never fun but I love that this place is clean, fast and friendly! I've been coming here for years, with a few breaks now and then. The location is so convenient for me and online scheduling is plus!

I found this place through Groupon. It's clean and the staff is super sweet and they make you feel very comfortable. They offer many services including hair cuts, coloring and other salon services. Eyelash extensions and all wax services. The most convenient thing, in my opinion, is the on-line scheduling. You click on the service you want and set it up anytime that there are spots available. The location is very accessible as well.

I am rating three stars based on their pre-pay option -- in house voucher. I think it's awesome that I paid $19 for my original appointment through Grupon and then just had to pre-pay for my second at $20. I am all about savings and realize that there are things I can do on my behalf to prep for my wax as well as ensure its longevity. Overall waxer was peppy, and nice. The wax room was kinda rough around the edges but overall fine.

I was very hesitant to go here because of all these negative reviews but I had bought a groupon and couldn't let it go to waste, but when I walked in it wasn't a hell hole as someone else described it, it was quite pleasant. The receptionist was very polite, and welcoming. My waxing girl Jackie was excellent, she made me feel comfortable, and was very professional and friendly. I would say my experience was a good one but everyone's is different and the only way to know is to go so try it out get the groupon.

If there was a 7/5 rating I would use it. She is amazing! It was quick, painless & super easy. And it's VERY reasonably priced. So grateful!
