What a delightful New Mexico experience! Steve and Kathy accepted a (very) last minute reservation which rescued me from a frightful Motel 6. The room was spacious, the Q bed comfortable, the house quiet and secure, the water hot and the breakfast delicious.Every detail has been considered, even ribbon wrapped toilet paper rolls (ha!). The location of this BnB is perfectly located in Old Town. A morning walk will find you with many photo and coffee opportunities, although the shops generally open mid-morning.Reader, I encourage you to drive past the chain motels and support a local business. You will be rewarded with warm hospitality and a fine memory of New Mexico.

Bed was a little hard to sleep on, but overall I loved it here! Had the charm you don't see nowadays.. fresh baked cookies left in your room and an amazing homemade breakfast!

What an absolutely wonderful time we had staying with there to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We loved our room where we stayed on our wedding night 10 years ago, and we enjoyed it again this time. We loved the proximity to Old Town. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious gourmet breakfast this morning. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality & warmth.

Check-in only happens for 3 hours in the afternoon each day, so we got there at 3pm, the beginning of check-in, only to be told that our room was still under construction and that we should come back in 45 minutes. This was a day when it was hot as blazes out. So we left our stuff in a corner of the common area and went to an airconditioned museum. Got a text at 4:15 pm telling us we could check in now. Our room was fine, if a bit small. The air conditioning, one of those units that has a remote, worked. There was a bed, an armoire, a desk, a sink outside the bathroom, and a toilet/shower combo, no tub. The owner gave us a helpful explanation and a pamphlet that was supposed to get us some kind of free gift at a local restaurant. Tucanos, although they are listed on the paper, didn't have a gift for us.Parking, across the street in a public lot, was free. The wifi was adequately speedy. I was glad to be able to get coffee from the Keurig before coffee was officially laid on at 7. I can't speak to the breakfast question as we were meeting other people for breakfast so did not stay for the included breakfast which is only served between 8:30 and 9. My general impression is that this might make a cute splurge, but there are also perfectly good VRBO/airbnbs in the neighborhood with similar amenities for half the price.

They were SO NICE! The room was awesome and affordable, everyone was friendly, and we woke up too late for breakfast and they still made us a delicious breakfast anyway!

I too was rescued by Steve from a hotel in a really sketchy part of town. This B&B is right in Old Town. The room was beautiful with tiles on the bathroom and bedroom walls. When I told Kathy that I would be leaving before breakfast, she gave me a to-go bag. The dining area has a guest fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The back yard has bird feeders complete with goldfinches. The only improvement was that to room was poorly insulated. It was cold when the wind kicked up. Still, I would stay the again!

Very nice and 100+ year old two story adobe building. We stayed in the king room downstairs for one night while passing through Albuquerque. Cathy and Steve were gracious hosts and made an excellent breakfast of blue cornmeal pancakes with fresh fruit and sausage.

Great communication and instructions, which made everything easy and stress free. Very cool historical property, nice room (The Franz Huning Room was ours), comfortable bed, fresh cookies were in our room. They have glasses and wine accouterments for guests, as well as a common-use fridge with free cokes. The breakfast was very much worth crawling out of bed for too. I really enjoyed our stay and will stay again. It's right in Old Town, so everything is within walking distance, to include great restaurants. This is a veteran owned establishment too!

A fantastic find! Lots of character. Scrumptious breakfast. Interesting and helpful hosts; they thought of everything you might need. One caveat: be prepared for city noise if you stay in the Erna Fergusson room, because it's got lots of windows that let street noise through. (My earplugs were sufficient.)My only hesitation in providing this stellar review is that it might make it harder to find a room here next time I'm in Albuquerque.
