Forget mccormick spices and come here! We get aaallll of our spices from Bombay. We also get a bunch of incense as well! Please please please try their samosas and if you're feeling a little spicy then try their samosa chaat. Tikka spice ain't got NOTHING on Bombay Spice's Samosa Chaat. I promise you.Anyway, private lot out front. Great service. Anytime I can't find something the workers are willing to help me. I really love this spot!

Great store for Indian spices, teas, frozen foods, dal/grains ect. Very friendly staff and other customers - everyone was so friendly in the store. It's not a huge produce section but has some things like fresh drumstick leaves, curry leaves, bitter melon ect but not a lot. The store is packed to the brim just wish they had more room to carry more. They had 3 items to order carry out food today it was samosa chaat which I had and loved! Everyone does theirs a bit different but theirs was excellent. The other dishes I forget but paneer was in one of the others.

Great service and very reasonable prices. Definitely will shop there again. Not the nicest area but the store is located close to HWY-40.

Bombay Spice has I believe the largest selection of Indian groceries I've found so far in the half dozen or so Indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and International markets I've shopped at here in Albuquerque. A very promising sign to me was that most of the other customers I saw while shopping were obviously India natives, with a couple other gringos besides myself showing up as well. So Bombay's authenticity cred in the local Indian community is obviously high. The counter man (owner?) was very friendly the weekend morning I caught them at opening time. I got a cordial greeting when I walked in and no pressure as I dawdled through the aisles for close to an hour just browsing a mind-boggling variety of ingredients both new and familiar. The wide diversity of available product blew me away and offered mind expanding possibilities for future cooking adventures. Time to brace the stomach and get exciting with the spicing. As I was checking out the cashier asked if I'd like to try a hot samosa, so I added one to my purchases and ate it there. Good stuff, though on par with similar ones I've had at Indian restaurants around town. The tamarind dipping sauce provided was especially noteworthy for it's combination of sweetness and spicy tang. I believe it is the same as the bottled sauce I spotted on the shelves. I found it a nice touch that they have a hot grab-&-eat food on hand for customers in a mostly canned/bagged food grocery store.Prices here seem to be in line or slightly below other stores like Al-Quud, India Grill/Grocery, Cafe Istanbul, Casa Blanca Market, and others of the ilk. However, in my opinion, the breadth and depth of selection at Bombay Spice give them the advantage and will justify my inevitable return trips for spices and other comestibles.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Great ingredients and great prices on breads and spices! The employees are kind, I think they said Tuesday is produce day and it gets crowded. I avoid that day because I have an infant. Great shop!

Bombay Spice is amazing! I went there recently with an American friend who grew up in Southern India. The offerings are too numerous to list - from frozen appetizers to spicy/sweet/savory snacks; twenty or more types of rice, and a wide variety of reasonably priced spices. The staff is very helpful, making suggestions on the best brands and what's most popular. Everything we bought was tasty and I will definitely go back to sample more of there offerings. Located in the International district, it's just down the street from my favorite place for Asian ingredients- Talin -and near many really great restaurants. What could be better?

This must be the only Indian grocery store in New Mexico. They have a great selection of herbs and spices, dal, chutneys, snacks (!!), paneer, and so on. They are open every day. On top of that the owners are super nice people. Highly recommended!
