I'm changing my review because this business is literally the only place in Albuquerque that sells quality used vacuums, that I'm aware of. They may not have top of the line customer service that leaves a lasting positive impression, but the last 3 used vacuums I've purchased are still working great. They are also an old school Albuquerque business, so for that I give my respect. So in summation....this business is honest

I've been going to Bob's since the mid 90's to get my Pfaffs serviced and overall receive excellent service, hence 4 stars. It would have been 5 except for one of the employees. She is, without fail, rude every time I've been in there and she is present. You can tell when she is in the building because the other employees are on edge and reluctant to exchange any pleasantries. If the store is packed I can understand , but when you are the only one there? If she's not there it's a pleasure to browse and buy.One time a young man was waiting on me and she approached and started talking over him. I informed her he was doing a fine job and didn't need help. Another time I was looking for a part online while in the store and she informed me I was wrong. I pointed out I was reading from the official site of the machine. "Oh". No apology. A third time it was my misfortune to be in the store while she was on site; I was being checked out and she marched over, grabbed the receipts out of the hand of the person waiting on me and thrust my part at me. No thank you, no have a nice day. She was hurrying him to another customer. Incredibly rude. I suspect the other negative reviews might have been a result of her being on site during those exchanges....that's the effect she has on staff.I once asked the owner about her and evidently while they have received some negative feedback, she is so good at teaching the embroidery classes they put up with it. How very sad. I've worked in places where someone casts a pall over an entire department but no one does anything. Someone should give her an attitude/customer service course. Fortunately, once you figure out when she's scheduled to be at the store you can avoid her. When she's not there, it's an entirely different - and pleasant - experience.

I took my hoover carpet cleaner in for popping breakers in wash mode. Paid the diagnostic fee and it needed a motor. Decided to keep using it in rinse mode and not fix it. Picked up unit and the machine was destroyed. All worked but the breaker popping now does not lock up in place, water hose is torn and plastic pieces broken all over it. They ruined it and did nothing butshrug, never going back and reporting to hoover direct. Dont go here they obviously dont care

I took my Electrolux in for repair twice over the last two months. The first time I needed the neck replaced on the motorhead. They told me it would take at least 6 weeks to get the part. I found it on Ebay so asked if I could buy the part and they install. I got the part in 2 weeks - when they called to say it was ready I sent my son in to pick it up. They gave him a different vacuum - I called and told them and they apologized. If that were the end of it, I wouldn't be writing this review now. I get it home and the motor head works for 3 minutes then quits. The next day the same happens so I call them back. They said to bring it back in but bring the canister too to test. 3 weeks later they call me to say it is ready for pick up. I ask what was wrong with the motor head and they hadn't even checked it. I was confused so I explained why I brought it in. They say two more days and pick it up. So WHAT DID THEY EVEN DO TO IT? But the best part (WORST PART) is when I go to pick it up. They bring out the canister but not the motor head or my handle for it. They tell me they don't have it. I told them that was the whole reason I brought it in. They keep saying its not there. So where is it?!? I can only imagine the man that is being dismissive and rude - who basically called me a liar, is the owner. Finally the young man comes out with the rest of my machine and says it was in the refurbished parts bin... They didn't even believe it was mine until i described it to a tee - defects and all. This was after 10 minutes of them denying its existence. Then I ask them if they even looked at. They take it into the back for another 15 minutes say there is nothing wrong with it. Then they charge me for cleaning the canister which was never the issue and I never asked for. Their last words to me was that its guaranteed for 90 days. No apology what so ever.I will NEVER go back and neither will any of my family who had been using them for years. I would give them 0 stars if it were possible

Can I make this a warning entry! Beware! These people are insulting, rude, demanding, unprofessional and entitled with stupidity to back it all up. Was so excited to buy a longarm Bernina and apparently they are the designated dealer in Albuquerque. Years ago I had my domestic Bernina repaired at their other location and when I went to pick it up I had arrived without my work order. I was told, and I quote, "No tickie no shirtie!" Can you imagine! And I am half Chinese! In 57 years I have Never been so insulted. I wanted to jump over the counter and bash the guys head in but was too incredulous to move!So now here we are, years later and I force myself to see my beloved Bernina brand longarm setup in their Eubank location. Spoke with Jimmy who was not all that knowledgable about the product, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt as it was new for them. Days later when he called to ask if I was going to drop off the check and I said no, someone else had given me an offer $644 cheaper. His reply? "Is that what this is about? $644?" I am not making this up!! I said, "yeah, $644 is a lot of money! I can't believe you would say such a horrible statement!" What is With these people? Btw, their Eubank location is dumpy and sloppy too!So, believe it or mot, it gets worse. I'm not gonna go into details here because they interact with another firm in town that does it right. I can say, I wouldn't let these people in my house to set up my new Bernina, 11K, btw, if they were the last people on earth!I suspect I will be contacting Bernina to give them the whole rundown on how awful these people are.My suggestion? Go ANYWHERE else in town, buy on-line, install yourself or go for a different product. So far I have 11K invested in Bernina products and was prepared to go another 11K now and 13k later for the computer upgrade. Bernina but for this kind of investment I'd rather change brands and not have to roll in the dirt with pigs. Rough, I know, but really, do you want to feel this bad about your 30k investment?

I have been really impressed with the service at Bob's. Between home and work, we have a fleet of 4 Dysons. Some were bought new and others were bought from Bob's refurbished. I've been very pleased with each machine- noted Dyson is the only brand I'm buying or getting serviced there. Kelly is great, personable and attentive. Anything I need, he is on it. I found their prices to be very reasonable as well- I found my local spot and I'm staying put! Thanks everyone's Bobs!

How can a customer return to this store when Kelly Dickinson remarks an unfounded accusation that the cord you're returning is not the same one you originally purchased, when indeed it is the original cord along with the original receipt.... I am not returning ever again!

They really suck in the vacuum dept. I took my vacuum to get a cord replaced, nothing else. Well they fixed the cord but now the brush doesn't turn right.
