Birriera Y Taqueria Flores

Okay, this is a food truck. For locals only. Went for Birria taco at 1 pm and they'd been sold out for hours. Owner said sometimes they're out by 8 am. The menu is a bit complicated if you are not totally familiar with Mexican cuisine and do not habla Español, but I settled on a Carnitas Torta because it was cheaper than a quarter pounder at McD's and ... they had some left. Can't begin to tell you how absolutely fabulous that torta was - meat crunchy, caramelized, unlike the soggy 'carnitas' one usually gets. Toppings fresh, delicious, and the hot sauce was good but do be careful, it's got a good bite to it. As I was chowing down, they closed up so don't believe the hours. They're only there until the food is gone.

Wanted to try local food trucks.. came across this one... ordered tacos asada n birria ... service was okay.. not to helpful...location was cool had other food trucks around not open when I stopped. Birria was great!!!! Good seasoning. The salsas okay.. asada tacos were not for me... meat tasted weird. All in all good! DO IT! Just do it!

Amazing barbacoa tortas with the perfect, simple toppings that I prefer, avocado, onion and cilantro... plus some great salsa and fresh (not-soggy) rolls! These are simple and traditional, the meat was very good quality... it didn't have the "gummy" texture of overly fatty meat and was very well flavored. Just like I remember from my best friend's mom who was a professional chef from Monterrey Mexico. Best barbacoa torta I've had since way back then and better than any other truck that I've tried these at on the Southside. I would've taken a picture but I already ate it... Love your food! Thank you!

Best queso barría tacos I've had in NM. And spend the extra dollar to get the consommé for dipping.

Food is great, but the service with the guy handling orders is horrible - always messing up orders in some way-. Great food but they need to deal with the guy.
