Fun, little store. Good children's book collection. Helpful, patient. They ship too .

A cute little bookstore that you could easily pass but would regret passing up. This little shop has a wide selection of books and will even buy any books you don't want anymore. If you are selling it will take them a day or so to give you an offer.

This cute bookstore is located inside a small cottage in downtown Santa Fe on a side street.Like many places in Santa Fe, the hours are different than the ones you find on line. The place doesn't open at 11 am. We got there at 11:45 am and saw the sign on the door that they open at Noon! The nice people working there saw us waiting outside and opened a tad earlier, much appreciated! The place is closed on Mondays and Sundays.Well organized, decent book selection, a few rooms full of goodies. They also sell CD-s here, once again, nice selection. Prices are a tad higher, but they have discounted items outside. Of course, we couldn't resist and bought a few books that we couldn't leave behind.Cute bookstore in Santa Fe, check it out!

We were in the area this book store was so cute it caught my eye so decided to stop by. It's a little house turned bookstore. There's a lot of old books but I'm always for reading great books. If you're in the area definitely check them out.

This is my favorite book store in Santa Fe. The selection at this tiny store is incredible. The shop owner seems so knowledgeable, like he has read every book in the store. Prices are so reasonable. Being in this shop, I feel a sense of peace and home. I wish all bookstores were like this one!

Charming little book store. The staff isn't super friendly which can be a little awkward but it's whatever. The store is a little small for my liking but they have an interesting selection of books. Very well organized, which is a really nice.

Big Star Books is an adorable little used bookstore. From the outside, it looks like a storybook house, small and white and trimmed with blue, with a triangular roof and a cart of books on its front porch. It's just as cozy as it looks inside, and filled from wall to wall with used books.I spent a good amount of time browsing the fiction section, which was well organized by author. The books varied in condition, with a decent number of pristine copies as well as some that looked like they came well loved from libraries twenty years ago. If you're picky about the condition of your books (I am - I don't mind too horribly when my books get a little worn, but I like to do the wearing), then you have to search with very slight diligence to find books to buy here. If you don't mind that your used books look used, then Big Star has a pretty great selection of titles. I left with one book, a more or less pristine copy of In Other Rooms, Other Wonders by Daniyal Mueenuddin. The fiction section only comprised about 20-30% of the merchandise at Big Star Books. There were books in every category, as well as a fair amount of used music for sale. I'll bet you can spend a lot of time browsing this bookstore if you want to be thorough. The cashier was pleasant, and I walked out with my book, which cost just over $7.50 with tax. Not bad. If you're into books at all, Big Star Books is well worth a visit.

I love this store! It's in a perfect location and has a huge amount of excellent books. I was able to find Rudolfo Anaya's book "Heart of Aztlan" there at a very reasonable price. We will be coming back to Big Star Books & Music!

Nicely set up bookstore that is not uncomfortably dense (like some) and includes a nice selection of well organized used CDs at fair prices. Owner was very pleasant. I recommend stopping here when in Santa Fe.

I'm a big fan of used book stores, especially the smaller independents. This is a great little gem in the railyard district. It's not slick and you are free to browse and explore without sales hassle. I've also ordered from them at great pricing so don't forget to ask if you have something you want them to get for you! Support the little guys, this no exception.
