Well, here we go again. Back to an award-winning burger joint that is just too good not to re-visit. What was the occasion? A friend traveling from North Carolina to New Mexico to taste the best green chile cheeseburger in the state. I stopped by to grab a bite. The staff was very helpful being it was my first time here. The young lady at the counter suggested I try the Sopa chile cheese burger. Wow, it was a green chile cheeseburger on fry bread. This was amazing. I took it as a Togo order because I had to be to work. This burger was delicious and almost two meals for me because I added an extra patty to it. It was cooked to order the wait time was about 5 minutes. I will definitely return on this trip.

July 21, 2023. Friday. 11 AM.Last time I visited here was 2016. Back then, they were located by the Allsup's just east of the Rio Grande. Now they are on North Main Street in Belen. My co-worker and I came at 10:45 AM, right before they opened. There were already four people waiting at the front doors. I ordered the small Lil Chris combo, for $14.99. This combo included a small drink, small fries, and a hamburger with 2, 1/4 pound patties, tomatoes, onions, shredded lettuce, (choice of Swiss, American or White American cheese) and green chile. Let me just say, prices have gone way up since 2016. Now they charge you for any and all extras that you may order. Gone are the days of free extras! Don't get me wrong, the burger is still big and juicy and the green chile has some heat. It's definitely NOT as good a burger as I had back in 2016 and definitely not on my list of top 5 GCCB in the state. The fries were okay, a bit salty, but just average. Note: they are closed Sundays, open 11-7 weekdays and 8-4 on Saturdays. I probably won't return with the nickel and diming and I think I could get a much better burger for the same price at other establishments.

Big Mike's Burgers and more always hooks it up with bomb food! today me and my husband got a taco salad with nacho cheese (to feed the nacho craving) and then a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries! All... DELICIOUS with leftovers to spare! Made fresh when you order. The service is amazing and the food came out quickly considering it was noon and a packed house! Only one or two tables to spare... but don't worry it's spread out nicely and you will be able to enjoy your conversation and company! Check them out if you haven't already! And if you have.... You know you wanna go back ‍

Finalllllly got to eat here! Burger was solid. Definitely makes the list of "one of the best". Who still takes the crown for the best Green Chile Cheeseburger? Sparky's in Hatch, New Mexico. Double green chili cheeseburgers are the only way to go.

Ordered a big Mike's burger and chili cheese fries online. In special instructions I asked for "grilled onions please". Order was ready by the time I got to the restaurant. Food was really good! Strike 1- a little pricey but hey, inflation and all. Strike 2- A few minutes later I get an email informing me that an adjustment of $1.08 will be added due to my special instructions. Um...ok sure. Strike 3- But then later looking at my bank charges I noticed they charged me TWiCE full price instead of just adjusting the additional $1.08 ):/Be careful when using card to pay. Food was good but not worth the hassle imo.

Big Mike's did us soooo right today! Lil Chris and this GIANT Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich!!! The meat was the size of the box and worth every penny spent!! I cut the CFS in half and can make an additional sandwich for dinner!!!! Fries were perrrfect! 10/10 all day every day! No pic because I forgot but don't my word for it! It's worth taking a chance to eat there! So so so good! Greeted with a smile and a sense of humor is always the best too! 10/10 too!

Highly recommend this spot. Big Mike combo is as good as they say it is. Customer service is excellent. Location is organized and clean. I'll spend the extra $2-3 over the typical fast food chain to come here anytime.

Best burgers in Belen. The service is top notch with Mo behind the counter. She really cares about her customers and makes you feel like a part of the Big Mike family. I've had the lil Chris (double patty green chili burger) which is 10x better than Blake's.Philly cheese steak with green chili that Philadelphians would envy.And their carne adovada burrito is also one of my favorites. It's bigger and better than Blake's burritos. Btw I will definitely eat Blake's when Big Mikes is closed but if big mikes is open it's a no brainer. If you're in a rush just call in your order over the phone for pick up.
