Owner pranced around the area with a beer in his hand and yelled at my son and I for walking into the sunflowers. I tried to tel him that we couldn't get in there without getting stuck in the super thick, deep, mud. He didn't listen. My son lost a shoe in the mud and fell down. He started screaming and crying and the owner just sat there laughing. Will NEVER get any more of my money.

3.5 stars Finally had a chance to come here in July. It's easy to find and makes you forget that there's even a main road nearby. We walked around the farm to take a few pictures (it's the perfect photo opp and you can even book professional photo sessions here during sunflower season). Little shade here during the summer. You pick everything yourself (which seemed a little pricey for a bunch of flowers to add to a vase), but we didn't buy anything this time. We saw chickens and goats, as well as a territorial goose at the far edge of the property. This farm is run by the Wagner family that runs Wagner's Farm in Corrales. They also have local honey and cute little gifts for sale. Maybe next time I'll come back when the pumpkins and chile are ready. 2022 #33

Now that Big Jim is located off of Montano instead of Rio Grande, the experience is not as great. The former location had chickens, fun photo opportunities, shade, and just more to do. In the new location, looking for pumpkins was underwhelming and so was the entertainment for my child. There need to be a few places set up for shade and maybe some interactions or the wheelbarrows to lug pumpkins around. Right now it just seems like a bunch of pumpkins dumped on the ground with a lot of potential.

Very cute and friendly! This place is a little out of the way in a nice neighborhood big area with sunflowers and pumpkins to walk through. As soon as you enter the gate you are greeted with options to purchase like salsa, fresh honey, apples, watermelons, etc. You can also hand pick sunflowers from the field and purchase a vase for them. We did the 5 flower bouquet for 15$ and picked out some pumpkins. They had many options from mini to gigantic! They also have many extra spots for photos like chairs sofas cars and tractors! Great price and experience.

Cutest little farm with you-pick lacebark and sunflowers and tons of chili's. Honey and apples. The sales clerk was a great help choosing chili's to roast. Hats and Chilis to hang got our vote. They're also loaded with pumpkins for fall. Right on the road, you can't miss them!

It was so much fun picking our own green chile! While it rained on us the entire time, it was definitely a great experience! The chile is affordable as well. When we got home we roasted, peeled and cooked our chile in an enchilada casserole. The chile was just own I liked it., all flavor with just a little kick!

Family friendly. Kind, helpful staff. We went during fall festival- live music, pumpkin decorating/carving, face painting, animals (chickens, roosters, turkeys, and calves). Local venders to browse and food trucks. A wonderful experience.

I really enjoy participating in U-picks. First time picking chiles! -- First week of fall, so even though the sun was in all its amazing hotness, a nice cool breeze smothered the heat during our hour of work picking up chile and taking selfies and videos... you know, documenting stuff for the posterity! I recommend to not wear shorts since a strange insect can bite you unexpectedly, protect yourself from the sun wearing a cap and sunblock, bring a bottle of water and a reusable bag for taking home your harvest. Otherwise, guaranteed you'll have an amazing time. -- Make it a date! (Insert winking face here).

Great morning at the farm for U-Pick chilis!Park alongside the road and walk in through the front entrance to grab your basket before heading to the fields. They have mild, medium, hot and extra hot chilis for the picking (plants were loaded), or you can grab a sack of pre-picked peppers (but really, where's the fun in that??). Once you picked your peppers, head to one of the roasters and take in the yummy, smokey, delicious smell as they tumble for a couple minutes. They also have salsa for purchase and other fresh produce by the entrance - zucchini, squash, peaches, apples, watermelons, cantaloupes (ended up picking one of the best melons we've ever had). Reasonable prices and a great way to spend a Saturday morning (arrive early to get good parking, picking and a good spot in the roasting line).
