Teja is great and knowledgeable! As the environmental crisis worsens I feel like I can no longer ethically consume meat that is not made like the meat here is. I should go fully vegetarian but I don't wanna!

Love the meat and fish from Beck and Bulow. We have been ordering for delivery or from our CSA or visiting the store for about 3 years. Our CSA no longer carries their products. The variety is very good. Small non-frozen case as well as a large variety of vac-packed frozen products. Staff is friendly and the helpful. Several others have said they are aggressive? i have never had this issue. Everything we have gotten there is high quality, nicely trimmed and delicious. It may be pricey but no more so than others that have similar product in Albuquerque such as No Bull Prime Meats. Bison is the best I have ever had. Tomorrow night we will have the fresh, non-frozen bison new york we purchased grilled with some grilled veggies and a nice bottle of Cab. Yum!

A good selection of (yes, pricey) frozen meats, including organ meats, and raw milk comes in on Thursday and I am told sells out fast. It is frustrating that their chicken is raised indoors, there are different hours listed between their phone recording and website, and you must proactively request a receipt -- which is then proffered rather grudgingly.

Super pushy salesman. I just felt so uncomfortable I ended up buying enough meat for a whole family even though I'm just one person. Very unfortunate that I won't be back since I'm their ideal customer.

We tried a variety of different products. We tried tri-tip, and cube steaks. Tri-tip is supposed to be the best cut for medium rare roast. Not this one, it was completely inedible. This was the single most tough piece of meat I've ever eaten. I'm a 60 year old chef. Needless to say I know beef and I'm old enough to know good and bad. I can't say there is any one thing that is good.

I wasted a drive across town to this place because they mailed me a coupon that advertised $15 off. That's it--no additional dollar amounts or anything to suggest otherwise. So I figured, sure, might as well buy something inexpensive and try them out. Well after I rang up three yellowfin tuna, lo and behold, the cashier informed me that the $15 discount only applies if you spend $100 or more. Ha! What a hilarious joke! Then he acted like I was the fool for expecting free stuff. He pointed out the words "additional restrictions apply," because evidently customers are expected to have psychic powers and deduce what that means. He then offered me an incredibly generous discount of $2.70 instead of the $15 implied, and promised he'd talk to his marketing team like this somehow wasn't intentional. I immediately put back the fish, drove to the supermarket a mile away, and bought it for half the price instead. The only meat this place sells is baloney, and they have plenty to go around. Never going back there again!

I got some insane wagyu from this place. The service was great. The beef was incredible. The prices were great too. This is a specialty butcher, so don't expect "carne asada managers specials". Come here when you want the good stuff. We're from LA, wish we could pay these prices for this kind of quality there..

If there is a piece of quality (not cheap) meat or seafood you're looking for, this is the place. We met Beck and Bulow a few years back at the Corrales growers market and have been addicted ever since. Unfortunately B&B doesn't do the markets anymore so we make the pilgrimage up north every so often to load up on jalapeño/cheddar bison sausage, andouille bison sausage and some of the most amazing wild boar bacon you'll ever sink your teeth into. This trip we also picked up some boar salami and scallops ... scallops as big as your head (not really but definitely not the bay size that seem to be the only thing available most grocery stores). Wonder how to prepare, how to store, how to prep something? Ask Kynan. I bet he knows. Cheeses? Mustards? It's there .... Small place but we'll stocked and awesome service.

Really good product (as it should be for their prices). It is literally the best bison I have ever eaten, and I've been eating it since I was a teenager. But holy shit are the salespeople aggressive. I am not surprised to see that other people have noticed it, too. I have no problem with an employee asking if I need help or have any questions. That's professional. But when I say "No thank you"... that's the end of it. Do not proceed to ask me multiple questions and do not, under any circumstances, COME OUT FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER AND STAND 12 INCHES AWAY FROM MY FACE WHILE CONTINUING TO BOTHER ME. The first time I visited, I thought the sales technique was bizarre, but I still bought some meatballs and wild boar. On my most recent visit, I was so annoyed with it that I left without buying anything, and I do not plan to ever return.
