While I was visiting Albuquerque, my pearls broke, and I decided to find a place to have my pearls restrung. I wanted to have knots tied between each pearl to make it more secure. I found The Bearded Iris hidden away in a strip mall. When I walked into the store, I was greeted by several friendly women. I met the owner, Danielle, and told her what I was looking for - - someone to repair my black pearl necklace. She said, "I can do that". She agreed to tie a knot between each pearl--I wish I would have had that done originally. I wasn't going to be in town for long, and she was able to meet my deadline! The price was reasonable, and she did a great job! The Beaded Iris is a bead shop and much more. TBI has all types of beads 8and beading supplies. They have beautiful beads from all over the world: the Czech Republic, Africa, Italy, and Japan--to name a few. They also have beaded necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and broaches. Besides beads, they have classes: knitting, beading, and wire wrapping. The Beaded Iris is a place to join together with others to create works of beauty--"like poetry when it comes from your soul".

Visited the store based on a recommendation of a friend. I am new at beading, so this was a little overwhelming, but fun.

I walked away from this store smiling ear to ear. The ladies working the store were so helpful and sweet. No coincidences. Some meetings are just divine intervention. This place has a great selection of beautiful crafting supplies. I love this place already.

I have a hard time giving anyplace more than three stars that smells of stale cigarette smoke the moment you walk in the door. Overall, good selection of beads.

The shop is small but has a very nice selection with some unusual and vintage items that I haven't seen in other bead stores! The owner, Danelle, is awesome, extremely kind and super helpful. Finding this store before my wedding was a lifesaver!

I have no idea why a review about jeans is listed for this business--someone at Yelp needs to fix this! This is the second time I've run across this same type of problem. I did not leave a review the last time I ran across this situation. (maybe it'll show up after I click on Post Review--if not, disregard this paragraph! The Beaded Iris needs to update their website--the classes listed are for last November and December! In addition, there is no way to contact them by email. Not a good website--lacking current information and an email address to contact them. (standard for a business website nowadays)

I am only giving 1 star for their seed bead collection. The personality for customer service is lacking and felt like I was being stalked the entire time. My husband asked a question and was given a snotty rude answer. My job consists of hospitality and I have been to many bead stores, this by far the rudest lady I have met. It was like she was annoyed that we interrupted her own beading and irritated that I didn't need bead classes, as it seems this place only survives off of classes. I can get better quality online and cheaper, I'll wait the day or two for shipping.

The Beaded Iris is THE place to go for classes, supplies, etc. What sets it apart from other beading stores- the importance of community. Experienced teachers inspiring & encouraging others, whether a beginning or experienced beader- priceless!
