Not at all as shown in pictures. Could not stay! Luckily we got to cancel and money returned. Too scary for a family to stay, lots of homeless in the area. This is not a hotel!

This place ought to be ashamed of themselves. Offered me some breaks in price initially which i was grateful for but then after staying there 3 weeks with not one attempt by housecleaning took my deposit because she claimed there was dog hair that only an outside professional company could remove. I call BS, this place is deteriorating so much and most of the rooms are empty so they keep your deposit to either line her own pockets or pay the bills. I am livid. I should have read yelp reviews beforehand. I dont see any positive reviews and i don't see how they remain open to be honest. Disgusting!

An incredibly poor experience. We arrived late on New Year's Eve after a 14 hour drive and there was a live band and huge party happening in the lobby area. I know, I get it, it's New Year's Eve - sure. Luckily the manager on duty was able to move us to a room far from the happenings and thankfully you couldn't hear the band/party from the room at all. However, the plot thickens. My girlfriend found what appeared to be Menstrual blood on one of the mattresses and none of the linens or towels look like they'd been properly washed. She requested new linens and towels and not a single person seemed to be on staff to handle this. The washcloths had some sort of strange "goo" on them as well and additionally the SECURITY LATCH on the door was broken!Meanwhile I was having an adventure of my own in the parking garage underneath the building. While both of the security guards I bumped into were incredibly nice - they seemed overwhelmed. Numerous cars were parked haphazardly, taking up multiple spaces in an already full garage. Finally after about a half hour (no kidding) of circling, I found a spot. The actual stay was - mediocre still. The room itself smelt of old mildew and I could hear people throughout the building all night. With a little care, this could be a great hotel. The building itself is nice, but needs renovations and someone to crack the whip on housekeeping.

This hotel is disgusting. We booked based on good Trip Advisor reviews, we should have checked Yelp also. We booked through Expedia. The staff at check in was very nice, this is the only good thing I can say about the place. The room we were given open up to the outdoors. All rooms have a human-sized screen window at ground level - not safe. The room smelled like a thousand cigarettes - disgusting. Upon further investigation, there was a dead bug in the kitchenette, stains on the carpet, light came in around the door and only select lights throughout the room worked. One of the couch cushions had been unzipped for some reason (drug drop is our theory). The gardens consisted of empty beer bottles and children's socks. The parking garage was open and we did not need a key to enter, again not secure. This hotel did not feel safe and it is not what they advertise. We left and stayed at a different hotel. Expedia was able to get our money back. Good job Expedia.

Stayed here for a convention taking place down the road; apparently we weren't the only convention crew there, but that comes later. The suite consisted of 2 rooms; a living area and a bedroom that resembled your average hotel room. On the plus side, the AC was awesome and would have probably produced a frost on the bed if left long enough. And, ugh, then there is everything else. Here's some choice moments from our stay: There was a rugby tournament in the hotel. They had a party on the last night in the courtyard(?) area central to the wings of the hotel. The place was so loud that I could hear it all the way back to my room, but, that didn't really matter because there were people spilled out into the wings of the hotel, gathering on the stairs and planters around the rooms. Um, security? Apparently the party did get shut down after the party goers stopped paying their tab at the small bar there.Ahhh, what else? The maid would clean the room but not empty the trash or change the toilet paper..Not the end of the world. The breakfast that they offered at the bar in the morning (the same bar in the courtyard where the party took place) was pretty good. Fresh eggs and pancakes with bacon, etc. As I said, it was at the same location as the party; there was still beer streaked down the bar.. Oh, the ice machine on our floor was dead. But dead implies natural causes. This thing was murdered. No liquor stores within walking distance and apparently everything in ABQ closes at 10p. Anyhow, this place falls squarely under "Stay here if need be, but not by choice".

When I entered the building, it looked a little old. There was the stained glass, a large banquet hall, and the people who checked us in we're nice. We came in late at night so I and my family went straight to bed. The bed actually was clean and the blanket had three visible layers, which was fine for the weather. Only one day we had a problem when the hot water stopped running, so we had to call room service, but they fixed it right away. The rooms are large (I got a 2-bed suite) bedroom and They come with two televisions. Room service is also very nice and helps a lot. Also, there is free wifi. Plus, Barcelona Suites centrally located between shops, malls, and restaurants. I guess this hotel isn't as bad as most people say it is.

This is not a hotel. This is low cost housing and the building is falling apart. The area is not a good part of Albuquerque.
