Bar Castaneda & Kin

We stopped in to visit La Castenada as we are big fans of La Posada in Winslow. We were there for lunch. A shorter menu, but several delicious choices, including fish tacos, green chile stew, cubanos, Caesar and Greek salads. I believe it changes. Our day, my husband had the green chile stew. He said it was outstanding! A real compliment. I had the fish tacos (haddock). Mine was well prepared but could have used a bit more zing to the slaw. If you like a more subtle slaw, then you're likely to be very satisfied. We also ordered the Frangelica Flan! It was super creamy, rich custard taste and the frangelica just accented that on top! Comes with a cute biscochito. (Very New Mexico).I'd love to go to dinner there sometime, will need to plan an overnight at the beautiful hotel.

Food is good, the atmosphere is great, reminds me of some old New Orleans still hotels and lounges. I really enjoy this place and the staff is friendly and helpful.
