Meditating in a circle

Zero stars if possible. They're set up to take your money online, but apparently not staff the studio?I paid for several classes up front and arrived at the studio 5 minutes early as they request on their studio etiquette page.No one was there, but I waited until 10, when it is supposed to open. I went to the door, there were no signs indicating a closure. I knocked on the door a few times and wait 15 more minutes to no avail. The number provided is never answered and the voice mail is full, I assume full of irate people they have scammed .I suppose I'll file a fraudulent charge report for this on my credit card since I can't get ahold of anyone for a refund or to find out wtf is going on. If the studio closes for scheduled classes it should be noted on their website, on their facebook page (which I also checked), or at least have a sign on the door.

Y'all. It happened again. I read the review below of not being able to get ahold of the owner, and then showing up to a closed studio--I figured I'd take a chance because this seems like a genuinely great place and I know how hard it can be to run a business, especially in these times. But the same thing just happened to me--tried to call the owner to activate my Groupon, per the directions, and then figured I'd show up anyway for a class that's currently listed on the website. Owner's phone came back as unlisted number and writing this in the parking lot staring at closed doors lol. I wish this studio the best but better communication would be helpful.

I have been attending classes here for several years and really love it! The studio is always clean, the instructors I have had are friendly and knowledgeable, and the classes fun! They have all the equipment you need, (including yoga mats!) so give it a try.

I recently moved to Albuquerque and was searching for a new yoga home. I drove by Balanced Life (located conveniently on Tramway) so I did a U turn to check it out. I think it was meant to be. The studio has a wide range of classes, led by owner Donna, a 500 hour Yoga Alliance yogi. Classes are suitable for all level of yogis, with Hatha, Yin, Pilates, strength training combo classes offered. The studio is well equipped and comfortable. I felt very comfortable and welcomed to the studio. I highly recommend Balanced Life to all those interested in wellness classes and activities.

I have now been going to Balanced Yoga for over 3 months. I absolutely love yoga, and I think a big part of that is this studio. Balanced Life offers many different styles of yoga for you to try. My first class was "Fitness Yoga," which does a lot of core work and mixes weight work in with yoga poses. The class is upbeat and fun with lots of current music and singing by the participants is welcome! Next I tried the "Gentle Yoga" on Sunday mornings. This is more "traditional" yoga with movement through various poses and exploration of the Chakras. This is currently my favorite class. Tuesday has more "traditional" gentle yoga, but if you prefer the upbeat the Fitness Yoga is offered again in Friday nights. I have also tried restorative yoga on Thursdays, which for me was more like using the breath and movement to facilitate meditation. Very cool. And they are adding some classes in different types of yoga starting June 2019. If you are interested in yoga (and you really should be) Balanced Life has a class for you to try. And if the first one isn't your style, you should explore one of the others. One of my favorite things is how "down to earth" the studio is. I have never felt like I needed to look like the yoga pictures on the internet to benefit from yoga. There is room for everyone and all abilities.
