Baja Mexican Food

Same place, same good food, different name. (Formerly TexMex, I believe another family member took it over). A few new items which I can't wait to try. Birria quesadilla for one. Our go-to seems to be the carne asada tacos. Though I've been eyeing the seafood menu. Shrimp ceviche and the Costa Brava (surf and turf).

When trying to find a different place to try Mexican food the original name - TacoMex came up. So we're driving thru the parking lot looking for a place that doesn't exist anymore. But in the spot was this place. I found out the name had changed over 2 yrs ago. Ordered at the counter - 2 bowls of menudo, 2 tacos & a horchata. Our food was delivered quickly. The bowls of menudo were huge. We probably took home as much as we ate. Excellent flavor & minimal grease. Cilantro & onion were obtained by raiding the salsa bar. The accompanying flour tortilla was large, and thin. At first glance I thought it was two. The tacos were served up street style. Once again plenty of meat. I have a lot of love for hole-in-the-walls, this one didn't disappoint! Simple interior, pleasant & friendly staff and great food - excellent combination.

The food was delicious! The whole party was happy with their meals! Very clean atmosphere. Great service.

Closer than California! Delicious Mexican food that I missed from living in California! Welcoming greetings when you enter, so many choices and prices are very reasonable! Place is exceptionally clean and Hilda was very helpful explaining menu and options. So many different seafood options, fresh salsa bar too! Give it a try there is something for everyone!

A business needs to be opened and ready to serve when they say they open.Sunday opens at 9:00 a.m. it's 9:03 and they are just opening the doors and turning in lights. Then I'm told no menudo until "after 10:00 a.m.".... So much for being ready and open at 9.This is the 3rd time I've tried to give this place a try....NEVER again

First time there. Got the Menudo which was very good. Looking forward to returning and trying the other offerings.

Get the enchiladas montadas. They are so good. I just moved to New Mexico from Southern California a year ago, and this is my favorite Mexican place. The horchata is great as well.

It had been a while since I had been here. I noticed the change in name? Was it going to be as good as before? YES!I really enjoy eating here. I am greeted with a warm sincerity, I feel like my patronage is really appreciated, and the food I am served is extraordinary. Sine this restaurant is close to my home, my intention is to eat here at least weekly and try everything on the menu. I usually order tacos. The come out hot and delicious, and the accompanying salsas make them even better.Thank you Baja Mexican Food, you are the best!

I went to Baja to eat dinner with my family, and we had an excellent experience, the waiters are so kind and very caring, The food was amazing the best Mexican food I have had In Rio rancho. After all I really recommend you coming here if your trying to find a good Mexican restaurant.

Came in for pozole. Completely empty. It took 20 minutes for a to-go pozole that cost me $11.50. No thanks! Fool me once. I can't see this place as anything but a front.
