Baca's Trees

I called Baca's Trees and had them come out to give me an estimate for trimming a Fruitless Mulberry tree in my front yard. They gave me a written estimate with a detailed description of the work to be done. I scheduled with them to come out about 2 weeks after they sent me an estimate. They showed up early on the work day about 3 hours earlier than expected. That is my only complaint. I do wish they had called to tell me that they'd be arriving 3 hours early. But with that being said, they were professional, courteous, efficient, safe, knowledgeable and I was very pleased with the work they did. I will definitely be working with them in the future for tree trimming.

My husband and I have a tree to take down and got an estimate for what we considered a good price. We were told Dennis, who we received the quote from, makes his own appointments by email. We had been in contact with Baca on a few different occasions regarding trying to get this scheduled. After waiting another week to receive some kind of communication we decided that he either has enough work or doesn't need ours. This is unacceptable customer service considering there are plenty of other options. We had used Baca before regarding checking the health of other trees we have on our property so its unfortunate that we will no longer be using them or making referrals to them. I'm

Corkey Baca was so professional when he came out to my home and looked at our trees trimming situation. I had to make the appointment about a month in advance, but that didn't matter. A few days later I received an email quote for the work and responded right away agreeing to the price and asking a few questions. Since that time I've called, and emailed a many times asking for follow up, and an appointment date to do the work. Most have not been responded to. The few that have, came with a promise, "We'll call you in a few days to arrange". This call has never come.I've ended up working with another company. But I as a new resident of Albuquerque does Baca's Trees, not like out of state people moving to ABQ? Is it because we are a gay couple, Baca doesn't want our business? It must be great to own a business where you just don't have to give a shit about customer service. I sure see an opportunity for someone to take advantage of.

We have used Bacas a couple of times over the years, to remove trees and trim back several tall hedges. We have shopped around and found their prices to be reasonable. They are usually booked out a couple of weeks, so that is something to take into consideration when booking. My most recent experience however, we weren't in a hurry at all to get the job done and we're pleasantly surprised to get a call saying a spot opened up and asked if they could come out that week! Corky and the office staff were very friendly and helpful with answering questions I had and the guys that came out did a great job removing my hedges and cleaning up after. I definitely plan to continue using them again in the future!

Recently we had Baca's Trees come out and remove a 75 foot row of juniper bushes that had been in place at the front of our property, between the sidewalk and the street, for more than 40 years. They had grown to extend over the sidewalk and the street-side curb. Baca's removed them and their roots. It took a crew of several guys about 2 hours to complete, led by Manuel who was very courteous. They did a great job and cleaned up everything very well; the area is now ready for landscaping. Baca's estimate for this work was very competitive.

We received a reasonable estimate for the removal of two trees and the trimming away from electrical wires for a third tree.A 4-man team arrived to do the work. They were awesome! They knew exactly how to climb the trees and carefully bring down limbs and finally the main tree trunk. Even the tree limbs over the electrical wires were cut so that the limbs cleared the wires with no problem. All during the process tree limbs were collected and run through a chipper shredder. They used a stump grinder on one stump and then proceeded to level the ground when that was finished. Finally, they cleaned up everywhere they had worked so that you never knew they had been there.All through the process the men were courteous and very respectful answering all my questions and addressing any concerns I had. Fine workers and a fine company!

Overpriced. Read the full estimate as they often do not include stump removal. A lesson learned for me. The actual workers who cut the tree down were great. The woman on the phone in the office not so much. Have heard from others to go with other companies and will do so from now on.

We have used Baca's Trees several times over the years, both for just us and for our small HOA. We recently moved to another state but I still read the Baca's Trees newsletter. Despite now living in a very different growing zone, their advice is still ALWAYS good.Just read their comments on dandelions. Gonna keep those little diagnostics as we wild our backyard.Ginny L.

Wish I hadn't bothered with the other tree companies I had contacted before. Bacas was immediately professional, reliable, and punctual. Their scheduler contacted me days ahead of time to let me know they would be 30 minutes later than anticipated for the estimate. Dennis, who did the estimate, was courteous and knowledgeable. I received their quote later that morning and I was surprised at how reasonable it was. The work crew arrived this morning on time and finished the job smoothly, quickly, and neatly. Extremely impressed with this company and would like to recommend the employees far and wide.

Went to this place to purchase some lumbar and well... wasn't able to get help or assistance. Walked in the building and said hello, only to be greeted by blank looks and silence by the three women in the office. Told me it was on the back side of the building, drove around and still nobody to help or speak to, so I left! Horrible way to run a business.
