Of the 4 officiants we interviewed, we chose Andrea of Awakening Joy Ministries because of her grace and grounded attitude. We made the right choice- she gave us a beautiful ceremony complete with a working session prior to in which she answered all of our questions. She managed to take a few different concepts which we were proposing for our civil ceremony and harmonized them in a lovely flow. Most importantly, she emitted a kind and balanced presence during our interaction immediately before the ceremony, a time during which the whole orchestration can be a very lively and even chaotic scene... We were also provided with vows and readings from which to choose. We were given an extensive questionnaire which helped us as bride and groom to articulate our expectations for the ceremony. From that information Andrea created the framework for our ceremony and no details were spared. Our ceremony turned out to be appx. 20 minutes and Andrea did a brief hand binding ritual. We enjoyed having such a custom and original ceremony that was built by us for us.
