Anne E. Mitchell metal, chain maille & low tech bench instructor seen widely in art magazines such as Art Jewelry, Bead & Button, Beadwork, Step by Step Wire Jewelry, Lapidary Journal, Wirework 2010 and instructor at Bead Fest Santa Fe as well as many other conferences and conventions has failed to fulfil, honor & respond to purchases made to her directly for sterling silver jumprings. I have emailed her countless times at: [email protected], [email protected], annemitchell.net., as well as contacting PayPal to respond to failure to send product that has been paid for totalling $150.97. Anne has received & signed a "domestic Return Receipt" of the complaint and copies of the complaint to the BBB in both Arizona & the state of New Mexico where she now resides. She has unprofessionaly neglected to respond with any substance of proof that she sent my product. She has continually made excuses that she was "moving at the time", that her computer "broke down", that she "cannot locate the USPS shipping receipt" (which she says she "always" keeps), it is "tax time" and "I" don't have time to look for the proof, I am doing a show and I don't have time"....etc. Anne E. Mitchell is at best lying and misrepresenting herself as a business women of honesty & integrity. I have more than adequate proof of charges made to my credit card, correspondence to her via email and postal service, a signed (but yet to respond to) proof of delivery of my complaint and response from both PayPal and the BBB for Arizona & New Mexico that she goes on record as receiving the complaint. Anne E. Mitchell continues to teach and be seen contributing to magazines, most recently Art Jewelry Vol 7 Issue 4 page 8 but cannot take seriously her theft and to answer a demand for response from a paying craftswoman. I seriously do not recommend, advise or approve doing any business with Anne E. Mitchell because of her lackadaisical attitude towards her paying customers. In short Anne E. Mitchell has stolen $150.97. from me. I am a work from home business woman of two years and it is most pitiful that Someone who has had the opportunities to make good on something has fallen short with no apologies or adequate response whatsoever. Do not purchase from this person.

I will be as kind as I can as I respond to this post.It was Irma Preacher's amazingly poor business skills cost her $150.00. I have been doing business in this manner for almost 10 years and I do everything in my power to make sure that I fulfill my obligations.Irma Preacher ordered rings from my site on April 19, 2010, I shipped out her order 10 days later and emailed her about that shipments delivery status. I actually remember this order due to the unique sizes of rings that she ordered.Irma Preacher's first contact with me about her non-receipt of her order was on January 3rd of 2011. This means that I did not receive her complaint about this order for 8-1/2 months. That equals out to 34 weeks or even better, 238 days. The US Postal Service only keeps tracking recedes for 6 months. I did lose the postal receipt and that is my responsibility, I only had my visa receipt from the USPS. Had Irma Preacher contacted me with-in 6 months I may have stood a chance of tracking this package and figuring out what happened to her package. In short, I have no way of knowing if this package was lost or was delivered to the wrong address or delivered correctly and just misplaced.I will take full responsibility for any order that is lost IF and only IF the person that the order was shipped to keeps their end of the bargain. If Irma Preacher had contacted my or even PayPal in a timely manner her order would have been re-shipped or her money been reimbursed. I am unable to confirm the loss of this package or track it in any manner. At best Irma's poor business skills cost her this order, I choose to believe this and not the worst thoughts that come to mind. 34 weeks to complain about the loss of an order is 10 weeks to long for me to do anything about it. I think that 6 months is more than fair...Sincerely,Anne MItchell

I have taken several classes from Anne Mitchell and have always been satisfied. She makes sure that your project is complete at the conclusion of the class and she shows you step by step how a quality piece of jewelry is made.Anne brings a variety of supplies with her, both the material and kits to make another piece of jewelry and tools that are needed for similar projects. She supplies quality material that have never been disappointed me. The prices are reasonable for the quality. I have also purchased products from Anne by contacting her and having it mailed to me. It has always arrived in the time frame that I expected.Anne Mitchell's classes are the best! If she says it is intermediate, that is what it is and Anne stretches your skills, in a reasonable way. After all, if you already know the processes and techniques, why take a class? I have always walked away with a beautiful piece. I am surprised that she doesn't have more reviews because her classes fill up quickly with her admirers.I hope that this COVID-19 phase of our lives ends pretty soon so I can take another class and learn her tips for tool use and maintenance and production methods.

My experience mimics Leticia's. Have not received items paid for in cash at a trade show. I have the receipt and Anne Mitchell the excuses... computer troubles, must be UPS's fault, etc. She' s as sweet as pie as she fails to deliver. You've been warned.
