So far, our experience in the Land of Mañana has been just that: everything seems to be put off til tomorrow. From my recent misadventures with a more prominent local daycare to getting a simple return phone call for servicing my car, it seems that no one here is in a hurry to make customers happy and any problems are just ignored until some indeterminate future date. Andy's has partially restored my faith in Albuquerque. We bought a home recently and wanted to have it painted before we moved in. Andy's showed up at the set appointment time, they had a ton of suggestions and catered to our wishes. They even adjusted their costs to beat out the competition and get our business. They left zero mess and were done in a short time given the size of the house. Everything about working with Andy's was easy. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks guys and we'll use in a few years when it's time to redecorate.

Andy's Painting company gave us a good price, and they were very nice. Our painters were Kris, Jaime, and Carlos. We had wood shudders, wood doors, and a wooden bookcase and the lines were almost as sharp as our painters. Thank you Andy's painting company!

Eric M and Kris V painted our bedroom. They did a great job and I would certainly hire Andy's again. Eric and Kris really focused on getting the details right. They communicated well with us throughout the two-day job. The process was a pleasure from estimating to final QA. The cost was exactly as estimated. We've hired Andy's Painting for every room in the house and the outside trim. We have always been fully satisfied by the price and workmanship.

My project was painting the foyer of a two story home as well as the stairwell and landing of the second story and outside garage door; two paint colors inside and one outside. Due to the difficulty, I knew the job would not be inexpensive. In places we would be covering darker paint, so primer + 2 coats. The job started with miscommunication. Painters were supposed to arrive 8:30-9am; got a text at 8:50 they were on the way. At 10:40 I called to find out where they were. "On the way" I was told. They arrived at 12:20pm & told me they had worked late the night before. They got started but seemed to have no plan as they applied first coat downstairs and some in the stairwell. (Could have primed upstairs but didn't). An unidentified girl showed up. I thought she was there for a personal reason but then I saw her painting in the stairwell. Fount out later she was NOT an employee. Suddenly, they were done for the day - 3pm on a Friday. So I had to live with plastic on stairs and floor for w/end. Plus, there was paint on the hardware, bannister, front door. Over the w/end, I contacted management. Was assured supervisor would come on Monday to correct the problems. Monday morning painters arrived around 9am; soon a supervisor showed up. He assured me he had addressed issues with these painters (Matthew and Julian). They worked till dark. They wanted to try to paint the garage door but the sun was almost down. I told them no, come back and finish another day. There were more episodes of miscommunication before the crew came back to finish. By then, I had discovered other issues: unpainted areas, areas painted only one coat, sloppy detail work, paint on the baseboards and stairway carpet and bannister/hardware still speckled with paint. I pointed all this out. They made "an attempt" to rectify this with mixed results and then sprayed the garage door. So in summary, this job was right at $2000. Parts of it look okay but I am going to have to finish the detail work myself. And as far as the stairway carpet (which was laid in 2019, so it is not old, grungy carpet), I am going to have to live with it. Two weeks ago I wrote a detailed complaint to the company along with a check for the balance of the job paid in full. I have been waiting for a response before writing a bad review but the response never came. I gave Andy's of Albuquerque two opportunities to address issues with this job. They failed to do so but they sure cashed the checks. I will never consider hiring them again and I would urge anyone else to move on to another painter. They claim customer service is their top priority; does it sound that way to you?

The process of calling and getting an estimate and getting the job done was quick. But being able to get the job fixed is impossible. To start with too many defects that are seen. Too much paint in many places, they painted above and left the paint tape without removing it, among other things. The 3 year warranty is useless if you ignore 2 calls and 2 emails. I definitely do not recommend them. Leaving a bad review is the only alternative when there is no follow-up or validation of the consumer's complaint. Waiting 2 weeks without action from it is unacceptable.

Nice try with your (Andy's) reply to my review. Funny how a 1-star review get almost immediate response. The issue isn't with the beams, which you failed to paint the first time, after being lied to by the painters that the tops were painted, the issue is with the quality of the entire job. BTW, the beams and fascia on our entire house are not rough-sawn, it's ready to prime and paint lumbar. Let's stroll thru your contract bullets...1-"Thoroughly pressure wash all surfaces to be painted to allowpaint to have proper adhesion."Comment: And some areas were still wet when you started painting.2-"Caulk around doors and trim to seal out moisture and drafts.(Where gaps exist)"Comment: I can go around and note dozens of areas that needed to be caulked but you did not. 3-"Scrape all loose and peeling paint to give a solid surface for thepaint to adhere to."Comment: Same thing, I can go around a note dozens of areas that I could use my thumbnail to knock off loose and flaking paint you just painted over. 3-"Prime all bare wood areas with the appropriate primer."Comment: The paint crew doesn't even bring primer to the job site. You just use color coat as a primer. 4-"Smooth patch fascia boards where cracking. **Fascia boardsare naturally rough-sawn and will not be sanded smooth**"Comment: Not an issue, but you failed to scrape and prime areas which needed it.5-"Keep job site clean, making sure to mask off all unpainted..."Comment: You left masking tape pieces all over the job."NOTE: We estimate the home will take between 3-4 days to complete..."Comment: Yeah, that's how long it would take, if you did the proper prep work, minimal scraping, sanding, caulking and painting. Instead, I got a slopped-out job which took a day and a half!"We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the missed tops of beams. We hoped to address this concern when we came back out for touch-ups. As outlined in the contract, fascia boards are naturally rough-sawn and will not be sanded smooth, which was the primary issue when we sent our project manager to assess the situation. Unfortunately, we indicated at that time that we would not be able to fix this, as it is not a service we provide, and it was specifically noted in the agreement."

I wish I had read reviews before signing a contract with Andy's painting. I hired them to paint dining room and living room. First crew (one guy) did a terrible job of plastering a hole in a ceiling. Walls were painted with a medium Lustre rather than low. Ceilings were streaked. The general manager came over, looked at the work and sent 2nd crew over. The 2nd crew repainted the ceilings but did not repaint the walls. They left me with 5 gallons of low Lustre paint. Will never use them again and I hope to always read reviews prior to signing.Andy's is not locally owned (Albuquerque, NM)

I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the crew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring.Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job.Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect.The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired.Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring.I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

Painted our master bedroom and bath along with walk in closets. Quick, clean, friendly; Angel and Jonathan did a good job and then Irving came back the next day for touch up. The rooms are beautifully done and at a fair price. I highly recommend Andy's.

Minus stars? they make you pick at least one- My wife and I just spent our Saturday painting what we paid Andy's painting to paint. We hired Andy's to to paint our bedroom changing from Lavender to brown. One color for walls another for trim. Pretty straight forward job. When they left the trim around the three closet doors and the door to the room were left lavender. The trim was painted up to the doors, with ragged edges, but the doors were not painted. No reason or excuse given. I have been a contractor having built and painted houses etc for others. I have never seen a job left in such a partial completed state with no comment at all. A very unprofessional job. So why not call them back? When we hired them we were informed that we would get an email before arrival with names and photos of who they were sending. When the painters arrived, no email at all, they were asked for ID. their response? "Our paint splattered clothes are our ID." We begrudgingly let them in, but decided not to do so a second time after seeing how they were very unprofessional and did not even follow their own protocols. Find other painters.
