A third and final review regarding how this Charter school helped shape the future of our oldest, Aura. Not only had the Albuquerque Public School system failed to make education exciting, her grades and engagement had been slipping for years when she entered Amy Biehl. We were deeply concerned that she would skip college. We had a strange kid, someone I could definitely identify with. When I was a kid, I didn't fit, either.By getting her involved in service learning, Aura's life changed dramatically, and now she's looking at a career in social work and dog behavioral training. Combining the two, she's been assisting veterans who suffer PTSD by training their service animals, while finishing her college undergraduate degree. She already intends to launch her own business, raising and adopting out service dogs, and our friends are hiring her for in-home behavioral training. Clearly, her formative experience at Amy Biehl paved the path to her success, and we highly recommend finding out if this school is the right move for your strange kid.
