AMP brings great artists into NM and kudos to them for that. Terrible customer serviceLast year I had an issue where Justin Townes Earle was moved to a smaller, open seating venue from a larger, pay-per-seat venue - I understand that, not a problem. I had paid to get way up front because I'm a pretty big fan. Not realizing that the new venue was open seating, I was disappointed to find that, when we arrived, the only chairs left were on the far left of the stage behind a speaker. I communicated with AMP staff afterward just hoping to have the difference between a general admission ticket and my kick-ass up-front ticket refunded. Initial communication was fruitful and they suspected they could comp me a similar valued ticket - I thought that was fair - but then they cut off all communication and I never heard anything back despite attempting several times to re-open communications. My friends have had similar issues and I'm now wary of ever buying a ticket to an AMP concert in advance.

Had a humiliating experience at Popjoy Concert Hall in Albuquerque, and I Yelped that (please check it out), and have been going back and forth with Popjoy about getting a refund, but they kept telling me the promoter couldn't refund me. Finally they put me in touch with that promoter, which is Amp Concerts, also in Albuquerque. I've been led to believe by Popjoy personnel that Amp Concerts is absolutely unwavering in even considering refunding me my money, so I'm expressing how frustrating and sad it is to be treated as if I was the problem.
