My first American Legion Post, I was here as a guest of my friend who has a membership thanks to his military service. I had no idea what to expect and I don't have any other posts with which to compare. It's a large venue with a few different spaces. In one of the private areas, there was some sort of event going on. Loud with dancing. Seemed like a happy bunch. We hung out in the main bar area and I had a couple of beers. Definitely cheap and definitely cold. My friends enjoyed a simple vodka and soda, reporting it as a pretty strong pour.We were probably the youngest ones in here by a bit. Not a worry as at least two or three people stopped by to check on us and ensure we were having fun. I don't know enough about the military to hold a conversation. Still, interesting.[Review 21077 overall - 124 in New Mexico - 40 of 2024.]

I am a retired veteran who served 20 years in the Air Force. I went there for karaoke a couple Fridays ago and I found the DJ (Danger Zone) excellent. The other Legionnaires there are also friendly. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the bartender (Karen). I had my drink disappear twice when I got up to sing and I then was charged for soda refills and the second Friday I went, I had to walk home (over 5 miles) as the bus stops running in that area around 8:30pm.I am grateful for the assistance the ladies auxiliary gave me when I was homeless and living at Henderson House, but the bartender really ticked me off, so I will not darken the door of this Legion post again. Sorry guys, you blew it.

This place is alright if you have absolutely no other choice. We have to go there because some of the pool leagues we play on use this spot as their home tables. Being a private club, there is smoking inside which makes it torturous for those of us with breathing issues or if you just don't want to reek. Also, they serve beers such as Blue Moon but they NEVER have oranges. To their defense they will give you a cup of orange juice, however it's hardly the same.Depending on the night you can either get a nice bartender or a not very friendly one.I'm sure if you hang out here a lot it's probably the bomb, but as a regular visitor, I would prefer to go someplace else (if I had a choice).

Hopping place.... at least on the night we went. Plenty of space, beer is cold, and the crowd was sociable. Wish they had a kitchen and food. 4 Pool tables.

I've never been turned down by an American legion before. I drove from Los Ángeles to this post to be told at the door there were closing. I came in with another member and the bartender let her in. Incredible to be de serviced by other veterans. This was a Thursday night football with 6:47 minutes left in the game and I was told I couldn't get in. Why do I pu a membership fee for this type of service. This is a true shame!!
