American Home Furniture Store and Mattress Centers

Now the expensive custom couch is coming apart. Seriously. It doesn't get a lot of use either! We treat it well and expect our guests to do the same. I thought we were paying for high quality and we haven't even had this for 1.5 years. Disappointing to say the least.

The Menaul location is now closed. They've opened their new location on Carlisle south of I-40. Wow what a difference from the Menaul location. All one level. The furniture is gorgeous. And a great value in my opinion for many options. Staff was friendly and happy to help but not pushy. I found a great sofa for $549, great brand and taupe which has been hard to find lately. They a few charging stations as well.

The hunt for a specific piece of furniture brought us here. The difficulty shopping for furniture is you are comparing apples and oranges. So browsing is in order. The thing that made stop nice is we weren't dogged by sales people. We were able to shop unmolested. We found some things we weren't looking for to bring home.

It's still probably the Best Go To store for all sorts of new furnishings in Albuquerque! We went in with a list of things to look for before the holidays and found them. Our Sales Associate, "Anna Kalo," was so patient and helpful to help us find furniture that we liked, fit the budget, and was either in stock or when it would be coming in. Shipping all over the USA and gas prices have been a huge deterrent for everyone but American Home still manages to keep a lot in stock. Sales Associates are now "allowed" to work in a more relaxed manner so don't be intimidated to go in now.

We had a good experience here with Carmen as our salesperson. She was amazingly helpful, and not pushy, but attentive. She let us take our time browsing, and when it was time to pay for our purchase, it went smoothly and efficiently. She was very clear about the pickup instructions, and all went exactly as she described. Easy pickup. Our only complaint is that the employee smoking area is right by the pickup bays, and we are very allergic to cigarette smoke, so that made the pickup less fun. But otherwise, will shop here again.

We had the best experience with this furniture store! It all started with our very friendly salesman, Michael Sherwood! I first called by phone and Michael gave me some information on some electric recliners I was looking at online. I went into the store to physically see them and sit in them. From that point on Michael was extremely helpful and I was able to get in touch with him anytime I had a question. He always responded very quickly. We went to place the order in the store for the two chairs and had White Glove Service Delivery with Sergio that same day! Sergio was very professional and set our chairs up and made sure they were properly working. We would not hesitate to purchase future furnishings from Michael at this store.Thank you Michael and Sergio for making our purchase a very easy and pleasant experience!

This furniture store has been a long time favorite of mine. I have two living room sets from them, one set I purchased about 20 years ago, and the second set 10 years ago. We moved out of NM to AL and took both sets with us and they both worked well in our house. When we returned to NM, we had to decide on one set only to fit in our house. We gave the 10 year old set to our son and his family while we've still enjoyed the 20 year old leather set. I'm amazed at the quality if properly care for I returned recently to start looking around for a hutch for my kitchen. We enjoyed looking around, and I mean everywhere around that large store. They have everything for your home you could think of furnishing - including art work. They have very friendly sales associates who aren't pushy at all. I hope to replace my living room set soon with them!Covid practices are in place and I was happy to see public use of bathrooms. Final vote: I will return.

After buying a new home here in Albuquerque and needing new furniture, both American Home Furniture stores were very helpful in helping us find the furniture we were looking for. I'd like to especially thank Efrain Morales for his assistance with our furniture selection, shipping and financing needs. Efrain took care of all the logistics, relieving us from those difficult choices.

I was excited to check out the new location, it wasn't very impressive......overpriced furniture shoved into a warehouse setting. Don't bother trying to buy an area rug from this store, the owner is extremely rude and unaccommodating. I used to shop American for all my furniture and area rug needs, not anymore.

Excellent Customer Service!! We exchanged a piece of furniture. American Home was extremely helpful. They saved us money, and treated us very politely. We really appreciated the service - not something you find everywhere!
