Altura Honey

There are a lot of options for honey at the Rail Yards Market. I was circling around and saw Altura's table with a small miniature hive on display which ended up being a conversation starter. The guys who were selling were so cool and so knowledgeable. I got a large jar of local honey for a great price (maybe $12) which has ended up being absolutely delicious.

Most amazing honey I've ever had in my life!! I was just going to have them come and remove a swarm of bees that had taken residence on a tree branch in my back yard, but they did such an expedient job, and were so friendly that I decided to buy a jar. I've already been back to get another since that time, and I will be back again.

Wow, can't recommend enough! John and his company are absolutely making the world better. He was quick to respond to my call for a swarm after his day of work - also serving our local community btw. So nice to chat with, took time to educate me, answer questions and indulge my inner nerd. Look forward to trying their honey, maybe from the bees I got to spend some time with. Thanks, John!
