Great Bar and Grill. I was surprised how goof the food and service was. First time trying out this place, definitely recommend! The food portions are good size too.

Food was great and service (Tylee) was excellent! But they have the strangest thing I've ever seen - not even sure it's legal. The "restrooms" are down a hall that opens up where the swinging door to the kitchen is on the right. On the left, right in the hall, are the two bathroom sinks! That was pretty surprising but then I looked for the door into the restroom itself and there are none! Right there in the hall, across from the kitchen door where all the staff walks around, are the stall doors to the toilets! God forbid you should pass gas or worse! I was too shocked to take pictures and can't find any on the internet, so take my word for it and go see for yourself! On the way out they have a sign that says "If we offended you, say something. We love a good laugh!" LOL

Service: The first thing we saw when we walked up to this place was a sign reading "Welcome! No masks allowed" which seemed an odd combo intended to spite those who've done their best to take care of themselves and their communities (We weren't worried though because of course they were all vaccinated....) Nonetheless, after driving up and down the length of town in search of ANY other option, we decided to call in to order because it was the only restaurant open in town (at least they weren't flying a confederate flag, as apparently was the neighboring cafe). We were put on hold but they laid down the phone and didn't come back. When we went in, they said how lucky we were because they didn't take call in orders when they were too busy. They said the food would be ready in "about 45 minutes." Returning after 45 mins and then waiting another 30 mins in the restaurant, we finally got our food. System very unorganized. Lady at the counter was pleasant enough.Food: We ordered chicken parm with garlic bread, pizza, and "fantail" shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Food was mediocre at best. Not very flavorful (except for the cocktail sauce, which was surprisingly zingy and good). The shrimp were decent quality but too few (maybe five). The fries were tepid and limp. The coleslaw was dry (not sure if they remembered to dress the cabbage). The pizza was doughy and toppings were scant and unremarkable. The chicken parm was rubbery and overcooked.Environment: The indoors seemed comfortable. They had arcade games and ice cream. Not so family-oriented (centered around bar in the back). Overall, do your best to avoid this place.Unless you're on the hunt for cocktail sauce.

We found the Alpine Grill & Still at 8pm on a Wednesday night in July. Things were definitely slowing down (we were the only people in the restaurant side!) but there was live music on the bar side and the staff was very helpful and accommodating to our party of 11! The food was delicious and well-presented. Prices were a little high but that's also kind of what you get when your in such a small place. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This place had a funky cabin feel. Unfortunately they had no candy which was a bummer since it is "Alpine Grill & Lollipop Shoppe. The wait staff checked in and served a group that came in after us before they even came to our table to ask our order which was a bit out of the ordinary since it was just us and them there, the rest of the place was empty. The chicken strip dinner was pretty expensive ... I'd say based on the pricing they are extremely proud of their food. Anyhow, the chicken strips were not real strips of chicken but rather ground chicken of some sort that honestly reminded me of fish sticks ... very strange and unpleasant. The waffle fries were however perfectly crisp and seasoned, the onion rings were large and the ranch was on point. My guest had a green chili burger which looked yummmmmmy and I was told it was very good. All in all, I'd return and give them another shot if I was in town but I would steer clear of the chicken strips. Usually those are sure proof but not in this case.

I agree with previous reviewer's comments about the large presidential political sign at the restaurant across the street (Bear) - quickest way to turn me off. Now, This Place Terrific Food!!My burger was cooked perfectly and my dining companion enjoyed the meat loaf + gravy and mashed potatoes accompanied by a her selected side of Mac and cheese (I don't know why ... lol ...but that's what spoke to her from the menu :)Restaurant was very clean Food Terrific - clearly home made Prices - $37 with tip for lunch ... not cheapWeird bathroom setup - you'll see what I mean :)Alpine, and this area of AZ, is known for their independence. Sometimes independence is interchangeable with ignorance or even uneducated perhaps. Here you'll get a first hand view of the disdain for masks during the Peak of C-19.I'm saddest for the kids who's adult parents, or work managers, put them at risk for contracting Covid. I spoke with the staff at this restaurant and asked them "why no mask?" and they both shared the owners directive "do not wear a mask if you are a server." In fact, I didn't see one employee wearing a mask here. Obviously the efficacy of utilizing a mask to prevent the spread of Covid - 19 has been politicized sadly. In retrospect I wish I wouldn't have eaten here. I wish I wouldn't have put myself at risk for contracting Covid - because the owners have decided a mask is not necessary. Someone else's ignorance, stubbornness, and disregard for science (based factual data) shouldn't increase my health risk when I patronize their business. Food was just terrific!Kitchen looked clean when I walked byBathroom setup is "open air" across from the kitchen If you're one of the "believers" suggesting Masks are a sign of weakness, or simply unnecessary, you'll be happy here. Personally I'll go someplace else next time.

Great food! Excellent Staff! Any of the idiots complaining about staff in a town the size of a ball point pen can go back to wherever they came from! Great little restaurant!
