Too few gas pumps and a super disorganized convenience store on the inside had me shaking my head and wondering how this location is staying in business so close to the heart of the old town Santa Fe area. I guess location is everything, but just because you have a great location doesn't mean you should stop trying. Boxes strewn about and crazy half filled and randomly organized coolers just screamed "shop somewhere else". The homeless guys hanging around the front of the store hitting up customers for change didn't do anything to add to the appeal of the place either.

Gayle and I were staying at the nearby World Mark time share, and this Allsup's is just a short walk away. We made a few trips here for snacks and some Tums for the delicious but sometimes less than mild green/red Chile dishes. For what this place is, it does its job nicely.

Still the best place in town to get gas... My only peeve is often you have to to inside to get your receipt. Thankfully, this was not the case tonight. Also, be aware of elaborate-story-telling panhandlers.they seem to congregate there... :(

You need to hire people with people skills, 2 very " I don't give a shit about the customer!" employee"s, both look likes slobs, one wearing a tank top full tattoos, nothing against tattoos, not when you also serve food !!Doesn't greet nobody, just rings up your items and rudely gives you the amount, while the other guy just playing on his phone not helping anyone!ALLSUPS MUST HAVE LOWERED HIRING STANDARDS, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I SEE THIS AT THE SAME PLACE, SO I DOWN LOADED YELP TO MAKE IT KNOWN!!

Pulled into the location and entered my credit card and zip and was informed by the pump that my transaction was authorized. However when I went to pump gas nothing. Looked for a call button and there wasn't one. So I limped into the store to ask the clerk to turn on the pump. I mention limping because I have a knee injury and walking is difficult and painful. I hailed a clerk who said he would help me if I would go back to my car for a mask. I am not anti mask...if I thought I was going into the store when I got out of my car I would have grabbed a mask but I assumed, wrongly, that I could complete my transaction at the pump. The unhelpful clerk, malfunctioning or disabled pump and my knee made this a horrible customer service experience. Never going back to Alsups again.

Recently, an Allsups site in Santa Fe, one of a couple on Airport Road, replaced its underground fuel tanks. They should have replaced the ones at ALLSUPS, 605 N. GUADALUPE. There happens to be a rainwater retaining pond within a few yards of the pumps... So... Last week, I filled up my gas tank with medium grade at that location, and it was completely contaminated with water. I service my own vehicle, and I knew immediately that was the reason why my 1995 Ford Explorer was running like the fuel relay was damaged. After some servicing and replacing the fuel, my old SUV is running like the trusty friend that my dogs and I know and love. I might still use the Airport Rd location but I can't be sure from where that water came.
