Can't recommend this company. Not a good inspection, and poor follow through. Tried to take advantage of a situation to get more money.

A huge kudos to Allied Home Inspection Services! We are in the process of building a 3,800 square foot home and our builder was adamant that the home was move in ready. We had expressed our concerns to our builder with the electrical and plumbing. Who would think that one needs to hire a home inspection for a new home? We were reluctant and concerned, but we immediately reached out on Yelp in search of a certified home inspector within the Albuquerque region. Donovan OBrien (owner of Allied Home Inspection Services) responded within five minutes of receiving the Yelp notification. Not only did he respond, Donovan made himself available to perform a home inspection on a Sunday (Mother's Day) nonetheless. He knew that we were in dire need of this inspection, as the builder was adamant that the home was move in ready. Donovan conducted a thorough home inspection and uncovered "significant" issues with the roof, electrical, and plumbing areas that he documented in a comprehensive inspection report on this same day. Donovan discovered our house was not in compliance with the NM building code requirements, and he took the time to thoroughly explain the deficiencies of our new home. Even though our builder had the NM Construction Industries Division (CID) conduct its final home inspection and issue the occupancy permit, we are ensuring that our builder addresses all home deficiencies/issues as we would rather be safe than sorry. I give Allied Home Inspection Services an A+ (5 stars) rating highly recommending future customers contact this company for a home inspection.
