The cops that responded was A.Salinas Flores & another older man cop radio number 821 case number SAPD21162275 ask for the video camera footage watch how that man treated me he kept telling me the same thing over & over he wouldn't even let me speak then he placed me in handcuffs took my kids away from me threw me in Southwest Methodist Transplant Hospital I have never had my kids taken away before so I kept asking to use the phone nurse Andrea got on the phone & lied told someone I had been there for 2 weeks then they brought a shot & sedated me completely sedated me did medical malpractice to me when I woke up there was spit in my hair or something.

Do Yelpers' really check into police departments? Do they rate them? Why is APD on Yelp? So much is wrong with this... LOL Can't imagine how a review would read. OK - I'll try... I live in LA and am in Albuquerque several times a year on business. The officers I see either at gas stations or a lunch spot (thankfully not in my rear view mirror) always look very professional. Today I was driving on 5th Street NW next to an SUV with a cruiser following on my left lane. I had my window down and we stopped at a red light I looked over and the officer nodded. Nice gesture and he didn't have to do that. Always appreciate what these guys/ gals do - they never get enough credit. Most of the time it's fake news selling what they did wrong. We want you there. We want you on that wall. Thank you all.

Thank you for your fast response and professional conduct!A homeless person had set up camp in my parking spot, so I called the non-emergency hotline. The dispatcher was courteous and asked a bunch of details to pinpoint where to send the officer.Officer showed up 20 minutes later and I watched everything. He woke up the man and was compassionate ("Someone was worried about you and asked me to check up on you"), but at the same time, firm and no-nonsense about the need to leave. ("You can't sleep here. It's dangerous. People park their cars here, and they might not see you and hit you.") He offered to get an ambulance for the poor man, who was too intoxicated to stand up. Finally, he helped the man walk to the police car and they left.I am from the San Francisco Bay Area where my next-door-neighbors once found a homeless man sleeping on their front porch, they called the police, and it took the police four hours to respond. In 2012, an elderly couple in Berkeley found a homeless man wandering on their property and called the police. A dispatcher incorrectly stated that cops were on their way. It wasn't until the mentally ill young man beat the homeowner to death and the wife called again that the police finally arrived. (Google Peter Cukor)Needless to say, I was expecting the officer to either never show up or wait at least a few hours. I appreciate the timeliness and how he was concerned not just with getting the man out of my place but also getting help for him. Thanks, APD!

The officers who helped us when we broke down in Albuquerque were polite, professional, and completely first class. My husband and I were traveling across country with our 6 kids. The two gentlemen who helped us, when our insurance company (USAA) seemed to be completely inept, arranged for a tow truck big enough to pull our Food E350 and the trailer we were hauling. They even gave us a ride to the dealership where our van was being repaired! My kids were thrilled. The officers were awesome about answering all the questions kids have, and after being honked and cussed at by the majority of the people who drove by us, it was so refreshing to be treated like human beings by our rescuers. If these fine men are any indication of what the rest of the force is like then Albuquerque is in good hands.

I've been waiting for a police officer to show up for 45 minutes after my Jeep was stolen. Still waiting. No wonder crime is what it is here.

Terrible experience. Was waiting for APD to make a police report at the domestic violence center. I understand that they're busy, no problem but I waited 3 hours for an officer to arrive, and was making the report on my day off while I'm going through homelessness and now a huge move aka there are better ways I could've spent those 3 hours right now...Officer L. Armijo came in to nearly harass me and take none of my claims seriously regarding my report- if I had known I was going to be treated that way, I wouldn't have reported at all. I wouldn't have waited for 3 hours. It's a shame, because behavior like that towards battered women will deter them from getting the help they need in the future. My advocates at DVRC said the same. I was accused repeatedly of things that weren't true, and told that a report would be made saying those things. I repeatedly told L. Armijo badge #- 6575what my story was, why I was reporting, and the other details that I don't want to publicly mention but from the minute he talked to me I felt like I was being re-victimized.Governor Lujan- you need to make sure these officers are trained better. Especially regarding domestic violence, as it is such a serious issue in our state and has been for a long time now. You can't just send random officers on the street and give them a salary, or things like this happen and once again justice is not served. Notice how I'm not complaining about the wait- it is totally legitimate that people do- but I understand you guys are busy. I'm just complaining about the way I was treated. I have had overall good experiences with the police. I was expecting a respectful officer, at the very least. And it's not right I took that much time out of my day to try to stand up for myself and do what's right to be treated that way by a public servant. Especially when I met him at a center for battered men, women and children.

Just watched a YouTube video from "amagansett press" that featured officers Reichers and Trujillo, their relaxed demeanor, de-escalating attitude, knowledge of the law and overall attitude was exemplary and a bright light in a dim world of 1st amendment audits and general filming of the police you should be proud to have them on the force!
