Great first experience. I had dropped my lense and was completely distraught about it not working!! :( called this place and they told me to bring it in to be inspected.All in all, it turned out to be a quick fix and and they repaired it on the spot! I was in and out in less than 30min and for only 20$. Bringing my bother damaged lens in as soon as I can. Vicky and the guy in the back rock! Thanks.

I got to the store the owner was ready to close up. The owner quickly checked my camera and she knew what she doing as she did diagnostic of my battery, to SD card to the end she said my camera lenses is damage. She informed me that she has a refurbish lenses for $175 or replace a brand new lens. I didn't get a chance to browse the store but it sure has its frame it's unique character of many variety of cameras to the pictures on the wall. I will definitely return and take my time.

I haven't used my camera in yearSS...it was dirty and to be honest just didnt know what to do. figured it wasn't much....but who really uses cameras anymore??? Vicki, was great....got it cleaned up, gave me some great suggestions and ordered a battery ..and We are Ready to Go! So excited ..ready for bucket list adventure! Thank you.

I had some camera equipment that I needed repaired and the owner, Vicki, had it fixed in minutes as well as a great solution to prevent the issue from reoccurring. Vicki was kind, genuine and saved us a ton on replacing the equipment. I cannot recommend her highly enough and if I need further help in the future this will be the first place I go. Save yourself hassle and do the same for camera/photography needs.

Walked in the other day with a friend that's been here before. They have quite the selection to really nerd out on. I could probably stay there for hours. I really just went in to see what they had in stock. I ended up looking through their camera casings and straps. I figured why not & see if I could get a strap for my Nikon One Touch. Literally dug through their strap pile, searching for a strap that was similar to the original. Before I gave up, we asked Vicki if they had a strap like the original one & she said she seen that exact one. We ended up finding the exact strap for my Nikon. It was exciting to be able to look through their gear & accessories. Shop owner was very helpful & nice. They have this teaching quality about them which was quite comforting. 10/10 experience. I didn't realize I'd been using them for so long, but when I look back at receipts...it has been over 5 years. So...that's where my review begins. Service:I'd taken my camera into Kurts...which was near my house at the time and immediately I could tell by the way the girl handled my camera and touched places she should not.. that there was NO WAY I could trust them to even ship my camera out. She couldn't even put the lens back on. I found APT when I was looking for a local Nikon "authorized" repair place. I went in and Vikki, the co-owner lectured me on how dirty my camera was, and why there was one piece of dog hair in my camera bag, and how I really should have an eye piece on my camera..and how the bag needed to be vaccumed out before I came back to pick my camera up. None of that I went in for... But she was right on all of it. As scared as I was of her, I really appreciated that she knew of all that. And I felt super comfortable in her handling of my camera. She is tough, but she knows her stuff. It may seem as though she is rattling prices off in her head.. but in my experience, she's consistent and fair.Repairs:I've had my cameras repaired and cleaned here on a few occasions... All jobs done well. I will continue to take my cameras here. Digital Camera Class:The digital class Ms. Vikki offers is done very efficiently. If you feel like you don't understand your camera or you can't make it do certain things, this class will definitely help. You can arrange a private class, using your own equipment. I recommend taking this class after you've had your camera a while and have had the opportunity to get frustrated with it. She will show you how to make it do all of the things you've been trying to figure out on your own. She will make sure you understand before she moves on, she will write everything down for you so you don't have to (and so the class moves along efficiently). She teaches you all of the functions of your camera. She teaches you from personal experience which is huge. She tells you how to do things and why you do them. It's a Great class, very helpful very efficient. Bottom line: APT knows cameras and they do a great job with repairs. The customer service is a bit Frank...but worth it. The Digital Camera Class is a must for anyone with questions.

I certainly cannot attest to anyone else's opinion of this Mom & Pop Camera Store, but I for one, Dig Em'! This is the exact type of establishment that Yelpers should support! A local, independent business who are doing their best to compete with "The Man." And I think they're doing a bang-up job of it!They repaired a lens of mine that I jacked up at a fair price. In addition, I bought a used lens from them at a fair price. They seem honest to me and I'll be returning when need be. So should all of you!

I popped in only to see what camera stores are available in Albuquerque. Met the owner Vicki. Even though she was very busy getting ready for a class she was about to teach, she was kind and patient even though I obviously didn't come in to buy anything.BTW, she has a studio available for rental that is very fair in price. Good to remember next time I need one.She has an amazing array of used cameras and lenses. I found a classic Nikon lens from the 1970s that I've always wanted, in the best condition that I have ever seen. Her price was incredibly fair, and I walked out very happy.

I have yet to be able to shop at this location. I stopped by yesterday, which was a legal holiday, and they were closed. I stopped by again today at 4 pm and they were closed. I went to the door, and they have minimized their hours. They are only open M-T-W from 10 to 3. This is not what is listed on their website or on yelp. I will try again tomorrow during these hours because there are only 2 local camera shops in town, and they are within a mile of each other. Mom and Pop shops are dying in Albuquerque. So sad.

I have a Canon camera which I absolutely love and it stopped working. Vicki quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and charged only $15.00. She is warm, upbeat and knowledgeable. Thank You Vicki !
