Partner and I used to go to Albuquerque Center when Rev. Patrick Pollard and The Late Rev. Jenny Goff were presiding. Then we drifted. We are back. The Rev. Amani Malaika is quite possibly The Best Minister that I've heard in my lifetime. Rev. Amani has energy and is a great communicator. Every time I go, it's like she is speaking to me. Rev. Amani is awesome, uplifting and genuine. One of the things that I appreciate is that she isn't speaking hypothetically: This woman has navigated stuff: She has wisdom from experience.Partner and I decided on a 3 month commitment before diving into more. I'm pretty happy with this church: Hoping it will be my spiritual home!

Wow! Great morning. This was a delightful experience.Personally I feel I'm spiritual but not religious at all. Thats what I like about the CSL. As a new to Albuquerque individual I related very well to the day's message of change and what is or better yet isn't impossible. The music was very good. The choir had a lot of charisma. The group of people welcomed me to their center. The Reverend and the rest of the team were VERY positive. Such a delightful change from what I've experienced most recently.

This place is the very best spiritual center/church I have ever been to. And, I have traveled a lot, and tried a whole bunch of spiritual centers. I am amazed that Albuquerque has this gem. I usually feel I have to just put up with the music in churches/spiritual centers. Not so here. The music is like something you would pay to go see. It is so good. Usually it is on the jazzy side, but the kind of jazz that anybody could appreciate. The ministers are equally amazing. Their "sermons" are very thought-provoking, timely, inspiring, and relatable. Their guided meditations are beautiful and well done. They have 4 services per week! (two on Sundays, one on Wednesdays, and another on Saturdays) Plenty of chances to fit it into your week. There are also a bunch of classes one can take, and different ways to volunteer and get involved. Sometimes they have dances, auctions, and different community gatherings; all of which are uplifting and soul-nourishing.The buildings are also very nice and attractive inside. And, I always find some great things in their little store. I have unfortunately had to move from Albuquerque. There are a few Center for Spiritual Living in my new city(Austin, TX), but none come close to this one. This one is a real gem. I highly recommend you go take advantage of it!
